stokfrick: Dear fellow veteran investors, pls, I left Nigerian stocks few years ago. Traded with Morgan capital. Pls are they still a good broker with pocket friendly charges. Do they still offer real time self trading platform? Or is there any other better platform that seamlessly offered the above features?
Pls are they still a good broker with pocket friendly charges. YES Do they still offer real time self trading platform? YES Or is there any other better platform that seamlessly offered the above features? Not likely. Morgan is still the leader.
jonnysessy: I can feel your vibes. The stocks sold for between N2.00 - N2.50 (could even be lower). I got some units then, later sold off some thinking I had hit a goldmine, never knew that the rally is just beginning. It has the highest % gain in my portfolio (Na only tasere unit I have o).
Lesson learnt: never kill the goose that lays the golden egg.
To avoid stories that touch, I sold 50% late last year to sort some things, and take position in another company. It was worth it.
Eteka1: The power sector holds the keys to Nigerian industrial and economic development. Unfortunately, successive governments have not been able to make it work.
Tinubu Should save Nigeria by putting Wike in Charge of the power sector. It Appears that Wike knows how to get the job done, there's no argument about that.
He will deliver, so far he can own one or 2 key infrastructure in the value chain.
temi4fash: Exactly how they convinced my mum.. And all my discussion about MMF didnt fly again.
The banker needs your cash deposit in a fixed account for her to meet their deposit target. I have a friend who tries to ask me for a deposit. Each time she does, I show her what MMF and t-bills are returning. How can I forgo that for a single-digit ROI?
emdeeCreativeW: 1 year tenor last year was 26.76% and Gtbank gave almost 19% for 1 year tenor. This year 24.42%, i wonder what Gtbank will give for 1 year tenor for secondary market. The Fintech App interest rates are eye catchy. 1 year for fair money microfinance bank is 28% 1 year for Piggy vest is 21%
-3% is not too much to pay for the safety of your investment
immaculatesense: This is very commendable and should be passed as quickly as possible. Lagos being the state with the largest population and the largest economy in Nigeria should have the highest local government areas.
I can see the hands of the President on this bill and that shows that it will pass in both houses easily.
proeast: What are you talking about? When Obasanjo removed Ekiti governor, he replaced him with another yoruba man. Why didn't he appoint a Bini man, Igala, Ijaw or Efik?
If Tinubu didn't want to appoint Ijjoid or Igboid man, what stopped him from appointing an Ogoni man?
He simply disregards Ijaws and plays the same script with Wike who earlier called them minority of minorities. Same Tinubu kept attacking Jonathan, the only Ijaw man to rule as president in history. Similarly, it was another yoruba man, Obasanjo who destroyed Odi and killed innocent Ijaws! It was also another yoruba man, Adekunle that killed Adaka Boro!
Ijaws don't even know who their real enemy is, because it's not Igbos, not Hausas and not Fulanis!
The dynamics are different. However, I'm of the opinion, he could have picked another Rivers tribe but the game is the game.
proeast: He is obviously from Akwa Ibom. Tinubu no rate Ijaws at all. Imagine to chase away their son, the first time an ijaw is governing Rivers since this democracy started in 1999, only to replace him with an outsider. If Tinubu had the slightest regard for Ijaws, he would have appointed another ijaw man but he didn't even pretend that he doesn't hate them.
He can't pick anyone from the North. Neither from SW. He needs a Niger-Detlan. Posting an Ijaw or riverine tribe is as dangerous as posting Ikwerre or Igboid. So, he settle for Akwa Ibom, picked an officer who had a good time in Ojo, Lagos.
pluto09: I want to believe that dangote fuel is actually of better quality than the imported one. Those importing are likely paying less to bring in cheaper bad fuel. I am equally eager to undertake the experiment but unfortunately I can't find any MRS station in my area. Dangote should consider having mega stations in more cities across the country, he needs to find a way to run these established petroleum importers out of business.
eepeepook: Everything has a price in this world. She can’t expect me to take “thank you and God bless you” as payment. I want to knack. Today is Valentine’s Day also.
You don make your decision. Why you come here dey disturb TL.
The solution is not in farming season, we have to improve storage of excess harvest at farming season and increase dry season farming. All year farming is the way out... irrigation, green house, improved variety for dry season, etc.
Your wife and her family are manipulative. Don't put yourself into financial burden because of a dead man or pride. Resist and reject whatever you cannot afford or willing to do.
NoToPile: For context I am female and I understand how it can be trying to give the children the best especially with food to make them healthy. Health is wealth. Children are always prioritized but some of your children are old enough to begin to understand some things.
If it's drinking bottled water that will make them not fall sick then you guys have no choice but to continue. Now I am assuming water supply in your axis is not clean enough to be boiled for drinking because even the costs of bottled water alone for 4 kids in a month is a whole lot of money. Some snacks can be cut off once once, the fresh juices are still okay it's healthy though expensive.
You guys just have to find a way around the costs, you sound strained already.
Talk to her.
I hope you are married and earn more than 700k in a month.
immortalcrown: So the Kaduna refinery was calibrated to serve Venezuela?
No be today this scam start. End Nigeria!
Locating the refinery in Kaduna is already a red flag. No oil in Kaduna, no seaport in Kaduna. Gowon should explain why his regime did it.
Let us even accept the calibration for Venezuela's crude oil. Is the refinery functioning? The answer is no. But billions of Naira is spent on the refinery yearly and some people are being paid as workers in the refinery.
The target was for oil from Niger Republic. And more of a political placement than economics and commonsense.
