If the stock like make he enter North East and Sambisa forest ,it doesn't change its fundamentals and the fact that there is nothing in it for retail shareholders for now except they announce a special dividend.

A lot of money miss road may interprete the recent acquisition differently. At the end water will find its level.

Hi everyone,
I realise this thread is too advanced for me. I dont want to take you people backwards but I need your help.

I want to start trading in shares and likely cryptocurrency. I need serious coaching though I read a lot about them but is not like the practical field.

I have downloaded chaka, trove, luno and others. Getting here I am seeing something like trading 212, immediately I know I am a novice.

I need an expert especially in shares that can show me the way. I guess foreign shares are better.

I will be waiting for your help.
Thanks.
First thing is for you to study and have an idea of the market(s). Understand your investment temperament.
Now, don't jump into foreign stocks, avoid options trading for now.
For cryptos, don't join any investmment scheme and prepare for mid to long-term trading. I'd recommend Binance. Their platform is better than Luno .

Better to use different lnb for 32 and same lnb for 26/28
Thank you.
Just that I'm having problem attaching the second LNB on the 28e lnb.

Thanks. I hit 32e this night but my 28e lost signal strength. I'd go back to 28/26e tomorrow and still see if I can combine them with 32e. Worst case, I go dey use a separate lnb for 32e.

Gentlemen. Thanks for thehelp. i got it fixed. I have 26e and 28e in one LNB. i had to trade off the signal/quality of my 28e but its working well.
About combining 32e with the set up using thesame LNB, nothing is coming up. I use 11015v30000. Signal was at 54 but with signal at 47, my 26e gave good quality and all the stations are stable.

Gentlemen (and ladies), I already have 28e set up working fine. I'm thinking of combining it with 26e. I have a spare LNB I want to attach. How do I go about it facing my dish and using 28e as reference. Thank you.

Don't use price limit. You can place the order at market price.Market order do reflect at the exchange while limit order doesnt hence you place a limit order at pre-market time.

Note:If the order is a heavy one,you may end up buying at a higher price because your order is at best market price.
When a market order is placed before market opens, is there any rule (of thumb) to which price is taken for such orders. Especially if the spread is large.

How do I do that on Morgan. I do it on my other platform, IOFS.

Your bias is quite obvious towards the oil sector. If this was my long term shortlist, I would narrow it down to these coys:
XOM
BEN
MRK
AFL
EV - 50-50 pick (bias)

Additional criteria - Debt
Thanks for the help and for opening my eyes to another key filter: DEBT. I'd factor it in going forward.

I like the fact you are sticking to your strategy in making a foray into uncharted waters.

I had the feeling we have dividend aristocrats in this forum and already had a watchlist of good dividend stocks to share for the benefit of all who may be interested...

Note also that every change in price automatically affects the dividend yield.
Apart from dividend income, the above stocks have good upside potential for capital appreciation too for the patient.
Due diligence advised.
Quite happy at the feedback here. Everyone has been wonderful. I can observe some stocks being mentioned by more than one person and also matching my filters.

Some of the filters include capital growth in the last 3-5yrs, less or around 50% Vs their 52 week High and for a start, share prices below $100 and of course consistent div payout.

Some of the selected stocks matching the filters include CNP, PM, ET, STW, PSXP, VTR, CVX, XOM, WFC, BEN, LTC, KIM, MRK, OMC, AFL, BMY, ADM, EV, AEP, SJR.

Surely, some of them were picked with my bias grin grin grin

Sorry, I don't do recommendations. However, looking through the thread, there are a number of good suggestions in response to your question. I will suggest you look at the mentioned stocks and identify a few that is in your circle of competency. Then, create a list. I can give my opinion on your picks but it still won't be a recommendation.

Hope this helps.
Thanks. I really appreciate every response to my request. I'm collating them and doing my follow up.

Ford motor company(F) have a high dividend yield base on their price 13%

Exxon mobil corp(XOM) 7.38%

Boeing company(BA) 8.65%

Note this are dividend yields and not the amount they will be paying you’re too calculate the amount yourself, dividend yields changes as stock price change and moreso any of these is not a recommendation I’m just letting you know the companies with high dividend yeilds there are more others too... stay safe
Thanks. Well appreciated.

Hi Care4,
For most foreign stocks the dividend yield are very low. If you need dividend yield Nigerian stocks are better.

However, if you are so much comfortable with dividend yields: this is one we came across in our scanning the market. I believe the risk on the downside is minimal, ticker is BTG (B2Gold Corp).

Thank U for mentioning our names, I am sure this gladdens our heart that we are being appreciated and we will be inclined to try our best not to disappoint you. we are just your ever faithful servants, abeg add Oakpeal's name too, you should know that people like me makes very few posts here.

Thanks for your reply. I'm already into NSE and doing comfortably well trading and investing for dividends.
I just prefer entering a new terrain on the manageable risk side hence my look for div stocks.

Now my Tesla story.
I bought Tesla $711.53 on 2nd March 2020 to trade it at the slightest $100 gain.
Along the line, I decided I will hold long term.

After weeks of rigmarole, it shot up to $814.42 on 20th May 2020 and I sold happily with a $950 gain, forgetting my last decision to hold long term.

Behold, 20 days after, I mean just yesterday, Tesla popped $1,025/share. My $950 gain would have been a $2,910 (N1,309,500.00) gain if I had been patient for only 20 days!

Now am going to have to experience a long wait for a pullback/crash to buy back if it falls under $900 for my long term holding.

Morale of this post:
We are not trading shares, we are literally trading patience.

Hello Everyone,

I am Oluwatomi a co-founder at Trove Finance (www.troveapp.co). An app for trading local and international stocks.

We know picking a stock is a very difficult job. There are many factors to consider before choosing the right stock to invest in. If picking stock was easy, everyone would be rich right?

To help a bit, we started with sending our users weekly reports which we call "Equity Spotlight".

These reports are created to provide users with a snap into interesting companies and indicators that can help support your decision making.

The report contains operating metrics (revenues, profits etc) of one company which we spotlight every week , Price Targets of the top 5 ranked analysts by Bloomberg, how the company measures up against other players in their sector plus a host of other things.

We have released two editions and i thought to share the last here which was the one we did on Nestle PLC.

You can also view by visiting https://go.aws/2MXG1ku

Hope the report helps a bit
Hope the direct USD deposit via USD car will be online this week as mentioned.

Fellow investors, I just played around with some calculations and I was shocked by the simplicity and result.

Assuming I am a civil servant and decide to commit to save 10k (ten thousand naira only) every month, at the end of the year I will have 120k (one twenty thousand naira) only. Assuming I decide to invest that money on a 10% investment per annum without stopping the 10k per month savings, that at the 35th year, around the time I am retiring I will be worth around 30 million?

With that kind of money, what is your business whether government or pension funds paid your gratuity or not. Just 10k a month o, not 20k not 100k not 1 million, just 10k, it is just crazy.

See attached sheet for details

I find the values difficult to believe, can someone else also do the calculation and confirm I did not make a mistake.
Have you factored in the time-value of money? How much will your 30M of 2020 worth in 2055? My brother/sister, you cannot get rich by saving. You need to put that money ou're saving into real work.
