Arczacch:I am a youngman of 32, an architect; I was doing pretty well in my profession and I blessed God for that but the economic situation of the country at the moment is really affecting me because jobs (projects) aren’t coming as it were. I have a loan assistance of 6milion Naira at 5% interest rate per annum for the span of 4 years to be paid annually. I want suggestion of the kind of business I can do with 6million naira that I will gain pretty good. Thanks. Please kindly notify me after posting. Hello OP, your post made an impressive read. On that score I am going to attempt an objective response to your inquiry. Whatever I post here is nothing more than a suggestion which is what you request for. First of all, you are in a wonderful profession and I would first of opine that the apparent pall hanging above the real estate segment of the economy now is only there for a while as it will soon blow over. You must be thankful for this recent recession that has retooled your focus to the much talked about multiple streams of income possibilities. As a direct response to your inquiry, I will state the following; Please do not invest in any form of crypto currency, forex, online or lottery business unless of course you have a firm understanding of how it works. I do not as of yet have an understanding of the nature of the workings of those lines of business. I would also like to advise that you be wary of models that promise you high yields. Any sustainable business especially those of the traditional garb will start out with minimal returns and will then build up to very significant returns on investment. Fortunately your interest payment is very fair. I will advise that you project from a conservative pedestal which should ensure that at the end of 4 years that your loan amount of 6 Million Naira would have generated a minimum of 12 Million Naira in terms of profit; after paying off all the interest and of course returning the capital. This may not appear very attractive but this is a sure bet with minimal risk and a consistent geometrical growth plan. I will advise that you invest in a traditional business and learn from it as you grow in the business. I assume that being a professional in the building sector your understanding of trading will be quite limited. Your better bet therefore is to engage in large scale F.M.C.G sales which is more commonly known as distributorship. You can never go wrong here. Seek out a reliable company, negotiate to become a distributor in a specific territory, insist on exclusive territorial rights, haggle and get the best possible price regimen, get support (both strategic and promotional) from the company and launch out massively. The beautiful thing about this model is that depending on the product, company policy and amount of investment, you just become a financial partner while the system is on auto run. This is a fail proof model and is adoptable even by those who have zilch sales or trading experience. A great number of articles and threads exist here on Nairaland concerning the distributorship business. Research and find them as they may hold the key you so desperately need. Good luck! |
Official Global Version Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime Special Edition, smartphone,5.5inch 3GB 32Gb 16.0MP & B$ B20 B28 LTE GrandMufti: |
I beg to differ on this point. I have a Redmi pro and have used it for less than one year. The port is not working anymore and you can only charge when phone is switched off, the middle portion of the screen is malfuctioning and does not react to touch or even tapping. Now a new problem is that it goes on and off by itself and doe come on again immediately. I must say that before these glitches it was considered one of the better phones I have used. I currently have a Nokia lumia 730 that I have used for two years without a glitch. It is so reliable that I had to go out there and buy another one for storage so that it doesn't go out of the market when I need to replace it. My Iphone 5 never visited a technician till I gave it out. Ditto to all blackberries I have ever had. lanre316: |
odimbannamdi:I had to read this again and again in the course of the day. I must admit that this is one of the better written responses on Nairaland. Incidentally, his write up already conveys the following; 1. A profound thoroughness as evidenced in the presentation style. 2. Mastery of the language as can be observed in his grammatical expression 3. The confidence he exudes as reflected in his authoritative stance on the subject matter. A trained and experienced HR professional can to a reasonable extent zero into his personality traits and abilities. he may not be a 100% correct all the time but I assure you that he is more prone to be right than wrong. A well written cover letter in many cases holds the aces. i wish to confess that in my career I have been swayed by a good cover letter many times over. Suffice to state here that my decision is immediately formed by a the letter and not the CV and qualifications. I will give you a tip about how irrelevant a CV can be; A typical contemporary cv now carries an insertion tagged 'career objectives'. My favourite question in the elimination stage is to ask each applicant to quote his career objective as stated ominously on his/her CV. You can best imagine the consequent fidgeting and stammering that follows that simple request. Learn to write a good cover letter. It will come in useful at some point in your career span. |
Please how do you back up. Please forgive my backwardness. I just belong to an older archaic generation. GrandMufti: |
oshe111:Yes and no. A good cover letter should be typed on MS word and attached separately just like your resume/cv. It is detailed yet concise. At best what you write on HTML should just be a brief introduction. |
shams040:The cover letter in the majority of cases is so significant that you have no idea. The CV is a a very mechanical and impersonal evaluation tool. The cover letter reveals a lot about the personality through the choice of words, presentation style, thoroughness, vitality, confidence and even attitude. A common thing like a spelling error can spell doom for you by expressing your kind of person(OP you may wish to check up the spelling of 'compulsory'. I will give you an example of how important a cover letter is. In the hey days of banking, a particular high flying new generation bank procured us to recruit entry level graduates for their Graduate trainee programme. We advertised and short-listed and then mailed the successful applicants inviting them for an aptitude test and the venue was the new UNILAG Amphitheatre. On the appointed we arrived there and behold both invited candidates and more 'gatecrashers' were awaiting the test. This was a difficult situation as we invited only 200 candidates but we had over 3,000 young people. We were in a 'situation' because it was apparent that if we tried to go by the invitation letters we would experience a crisis. So we quickly thought out a solution which was that everyone should sit for the test in batches. We however changed the test content and structure. We distributed plane sheets and requested that each person write an application letter seeking absorption into the Graduate trainee Scheme. They would then attach copies of their resumes. We packed all applications and hired the Test Development Division Of WAEC to evaluate them and the results were sent in. You will not believe that less than 32 application letters hit the 85% cut-off mark. Very depressing experience. Many Nigerians can connect with the above. We really do not have the humility to admit the glaring fact that our writing is seriously impaired. We need to correct this anomaly. And soon too. Its the only way to go. |
shams040:I am tempted to weigh in at this point. All HR personnel globally are faced with one major challenge and that is getting the absolutely right fit for an opening and a variety of tools and variables are used to ascertain the suitability or otherwise of a particular candidate for a role. Experience (I speak for myself here) has revealed that your words as stringed together if well examined reveal your personality traits, confidence level and to some extent your integrity. I can tell you that in the majority of cases my selection of a candidate to a very large extent is mostly predicated on the feelings that I draw from reading the cover letter. A truly well written cover letter is a delightful read and will get one foot in the door(my personal disposition again). You will be amazed at this fact but it holds true for many HR units. The CV over the years has become a stereotype and on could copy and replicate others but in all honesty writing style and presentation remains unique to every individual. My advice is that whenever you are seeking employment and you need to show what stuff you are made of, please add a well written cover letter. Understandably, this applies more to experienced hires. It has proven to take many to the next stage. |
GrandMufti:Thanks for your response. Please find the image of the rom as requested.
|
gbodimowo:Thanks Sir! Your response is quite indicative of a man who understands what he is talking about. Actually there was no 'accident'. I just noticed that it just stopped working starting with the charging port malfunction and then the others followed in quick sequence. Can you recommend any site on Aliexpress where I can buy the entire LCD and the digitizer together? Do you recommend I buy the entire charging port component also from Aliexpress? Can you recommend any technician that can replace the screen when I buy it and who can have the phone 'checked'? I live in the Ikeja neighbourhood but have a morbid fear of dealing with random Computer village technicians. My thanks once again for your prompt and indepth response. |
Hello House, I need help. I have a redmi 3 pro which I bought earlier this year having read, such great reviews about it on this thread. I must say that the first few months with this phone was inexplicable bliss. Then just about a month ago, the honeymoon ended as I started experiencing some drawbacks. Th first problem was that just out of nowhere the phone refused to charge while still on. I changed cables, chargers to no avail. Immediately I put it off and plugged it again, it started charging all over again. It is still in this state till date so I only get to charge it at night. Luckily that charge takes a full day which is fair enough. What could have gone wrong? The second problem that showed up was the screen. At exactly the middle (horizontal) the screen does not respond to touch at all. So if you have to anything you type that requires a middle positioned alphabet then you are completely lost as there is no response. Is there anything that I can do to correct this issue short of changing the scree? Thirdly, I noticed that the phone now goes off by itself and then immediately comes on again. So we have a consistent rebooting going on during the day in the course of my activities. You can also notice that when it is charging (when off) it still flicks on and stops at the point where it shows the MI logo and then goes off again. Can I get some help here please? I need someone to advise. I still believe the Xiaomi brand is a good way to go. but I need to know if anyone has experienced this before and how we can go about it. Thanks. |
BlueRayDick:Please tell them. Good things do sometimes come in small packages. |
