Olaomoolopa:This is quite a reasonable request but I am afraid I cannot oblige you for the very reason I obliterated the name of the company in the first place when placing the advert. Lets just say that since the bedlam has waned, we can go on to announce that we received a lot of applications and more are coming in. Quite characteristic of me, I settled down and read the posts repeatedly and each individual post kept conjuring a more than reasonably accurate picture of the personality behind the post and the moniker. Seek to develop yourself along this line you will agree with me that it isn't necessary to join issues with people in certain respects especially on an anonymous online platform that harbours all ramifications of species. Most importantly, I have interacted with some of the applicants and I can tell you that this was a worthwhile exercise. A very wholesome experience it has been. For those who may sill be interested, kindly send in your applications and resume and follow the format as laid out in the originating post. Thanks! |
toygod2:If we are to judge you by your moniker then there would be no need to respond to you. However, unlike you will resist the temptation to judge a book by its cover. your moniker was like your warped thinking today that produced the quoted text must have been chosen during one of your frequently recurring periods of insobriety. We cannot therefore ascribe the entire responsibility of this intemperance to you. It is hugely circumstantial. A man is nothing more than what he thinks inwardly and expresses outwardly through his words(both verbal and written)and actions/inactions. And then you latch n to a promise that assuages your lazy and docile personality, a promise that you yourself do not even believe. Please prove me wrong by announcing your 'better job' here before the 31st of December 2017. Suffice to state here and clearly so that I will appear here and quote you on that date before the close of business from wherever I may be. Take that as a challenge. And finally, I am sure that before that date one of the applicants for this job will announce his appointment with this 'fictitious ' company. |
category:Thanks for the compliment @Category. I am just trying to exhaust the school fees investment of many contributors, parents, relatives, community and even the state. Its amazing though to think that our supposedly intelligent commentators can sink so low as to think only along certain lines. The biggest loss resulting from the archaic educational sepulchre we have been bequeathed is the colossal loss of self esteem. However, contemporary socio-economic harmonisation requires our accommodating even the most unintelligent morons in our society who in the majority of cases are the ones that suffer steep depths of low esteem and yet seek recognition via all manners of loquacious expression even when bereft of logic and inconsistent with the prevailing contextual setting. That indeed is the burden of present day living. The responses so far are awesome, despite the distractions. The discourse has actually been quite helpful...............if you know what I mean. |
omoelerin1:I usually resist (and successfully so) to be drawn into this kind of negative exchange that is primarily unproductive. I will however in the interest of the vulnerable ones on this platform respond to your very spurious and unfounded allegations. it is ironic that a supposedly educated and experienced professional cannot show in his post the tell tale signs of a fake advertorial. My advert does not solicit for payments in any form and neither does it request for any valuable. All I placed was a harmless email address that is used to collate applications for certain advertised positions before being forwarded to a dedicated email address belonging to registered domain. Your unintelligent posturing will not allow you look beyond your nose but only survive in your immediate limitations. For the avoidance of doubt, the advert you see here and any other advert that comes through this moniker are verified adverts drawn from a reasonably known and respectable Business Advisory Agency. Having said this much , I hope you will read it.....really, really slowly in order to have some semblance of an understanding. I will subsequently not dignify your penchant for cheap and baseless popularity on an anonymous forum. And you may heed the time tested axiom about leaving people oblivious of your intelligence rather than erasing all doubt through rather ludicrous and moronic contrivance. I challenge you do your very best 'Sir Theresa' of the desperate unemployed Nigerian graduates and shame on you if you don't complicate this issue. |
Delbam:I am happy that you have at least not fallen. Very smart and commendable. Unfortunately many others are not as smart as you. Have a bountiful day. |
Delbam:Thanks for not falling Sir. Very smart of you. And your unsolicited advice is received in good faith. |
omoelerin1:In the midst of the weeds shall grow the wheat and in full grain........ Go figure. |
omoelerin1:You are of course entitled to YOUR opinion. |
gotaheart:Unfortunately, I cannot provide the job description. The information above is all I have and can only present that much. It is however apparently deductible that the roles would naturally demand traditional functions required of those positions. My own two pence! |
Kaygee10:No accommodation please. |
Pierohandsome:This is position is only for Lagos residents. |

If you had mentioned your location, I am sure it would have attracted a more detailed response. With 2 Million Naira, I will suggest that you only invest short term. Look for a product from a reliable and quality inclined mid sized FMCG. Register as a distributor for their products that have mass appeal' In your locality, hire three or four young and aggressive boys and /or girls. Fix a salary for them guarantee daily commissions train them on how to sell the product. Unleash them into the market and get your inflows on a daily basis. Start with one product and then expand into others gradually thus expanding also your scope and horizon. This recommendation is both product and location specific. It may not work all the time. You will need some guidance. Certain variables must be in place. You can be sure of profits of at least 5 per cent monthly while your capital remains intact. It is a proven method. I even have a designed template on it that has been utilised and reviewed many times over. A daily product that is in high demand is your key to a consistent daily income stream. The margin may be small but then the risk is very negligible and and you can pull out your money(capital/investment) any time you want. On the whole, think through whatever you wish to embark on properly and then commence. Nigeria is so filled with opportunities. Wishing you the very best of what you wish yourself. |
Jesusgirl92:Hello Jesusgirl, can you please forward the book to my mailbox; careerpluzz@gmail.com. Thanks in anticipation. |
aaronson:Great stuff here. There is always something positive in every discipline. my advise is that as you graduating in 4 years time you should have developed yourself along some other line. Should you choose to develop a sound understanding of sales and marketing you could come out tops in that area. One plausible way you can do that is to learn by doing. Take a part time job as a salesman/canvasser/merchandiser while studying for your degree and read as much as possible about sales and honestly you will be the man to watch by the time you graduate. Never lose your esteem on account of the discipline you have been 'forced' to study. My one-time boss of blessed memory graduated with a classics degree from U.I. he had a great run until he left the flesh. By the way, I sometimes wonder why nobody ever mentions the degrees of Dangote, Otedola and Maduka. It beats me. Good luck Op and please dont waste your time changing your course on account of the future unles you really need to. |
So how does one overcome the lack of confidence? |
obami007:Yes you may. But please note that I make no promises. I can only do my best. |
Selling is a both an art and a science. Selling successfully is a function of the degree of confidence the selling personnel can muster. This goes without saying that the poorly performing salesman is usually one without sufficient confidence. now this confidence could be in the company, the product or even in himself. This kind of attitude manifests in different ramifications but it is the primary cause for the apathy that is shown sales and marketing. So one of the first hurdles to cross is overcoming the lack of confidence. |
DeltaBachelor:I don't know what steps you a re referring to. This is meant to be a step by step approach to understanding the concept of sales as against the predominant understanding. it is not an attempt at selling an ebook or indeed anything else. All we intend to do is to demystify sales as a a profession or career by looking at the things that most people usually cannot see because all they do is glance. |
Over the years one recurring position among job seekers is their aversion to a sales career. I believe this stems from a deep rooted misconception resulting from a faulty programming that society has foisted on us. It is very sad to meet otherwise very smart young graduates who say they cannot take a sales job because they simply don’t like marketing. It is even more saddening when one is presented with the fact on ground which is the fact that the most advertised position today is sales. All around the world you will observe that a prolific salesman is never out of a job…at least not for a long time. |
GeniaKel:Nationwide! |

One of the better threads on Nairaland in recent times. |
What I will advise is for you to get a very fast moving FMCG product and push it within Kaduna. truth be told the initial capital is quite small but in all honesty if you have a will and the energy and perseverance to work very hard in order to augment the lack of capital with ingenuity and smart working processes then you will ultimately excel beyond your imagination. Look for a product that is in high demand, appropriately priced and light weight and move it from Lagos to Kaduna. Work out an arrangement that ensures that you have some measure of exclusivity in Kaduna at least for a while. Then hit the road with the product, canvass for the sales yourself and ensure that effective demand is created and sustained. If you work very hard, you should be able to wow yourself beyond your expectations within just a few months. Above all, do not venture into what you do not know. If you are in any way like me, then avoid get rich quick schemes, online businesses and any form of betting/lottery. Please note that these things are not bad in themselves but I really do not understand them thus my position. Work assiduously and seek little margin products but work on generating a very high and consistent turnover. If you can get to the point of turning around the amount you have invested every two weeks then you are almost there. This will then provide the required impetus to help you attract additional capital to expand your foray into the business. Good luck! |
Just joining the many posters above to confirm the authenticity of the app. I can confirm that I am a witness to this app working as described. 50,000 was applied for and approval was received and the disbursement made within 5 minutes. Only snag was that the interest rate at 20% for two months was quite high. Tenor was 60 days and repayment split into two with 30 deductible on the 30th day and another 30k deductible on the 60th day. |
9japrof:Very impressive post. A nairalander with a superior idea is not likely to throw his/her cards open right here in the public domain. I am of the opinion that most of the ideas here are generalist in nature on the one hand and the rest are solicitous. Quite a number of Nairaland posts by way of business ideas are not really ideas but tested and trusted (and not so trusted) models. Each one should look at what writing or post interests him/her and then work with ensuring that a due diligence is made before money parts ways. Honestly, the better business ideas are not on Nairaland. That is not to say that the progenitors of the best ideas are not Nairalanders. I have had the experience of working in business advisory and can tell you that the best ideas are formed and then sujected by specialists through the most meticulous evolutionary process for a fee. On the whole, Nairaland as a business platform has been very helpful. |
jamale:Your writing is superb. It exudes an admixture of confidence and sincerity. Send me a pm and I can arrange a meeting for you with someone. |
promzy35fizza:A trading business with short term potential is what you need Bros. Invest in a seasonal product and come out smiling to the banks. Replicate it with a larger amount next season and also replicate your earnings. Become a pro over the years. |
