I think he has Drivers best interest at heart and we need to encourage and give him accolades for his works.

He speaks from his wealth of experience and we need to understand that he has a point.

Are there dead cars on Uber and Taxify? Maybe Yes!

Are prestine tokunbo bought and used on Uber/Taxify now dead car because of drivers negligence and recklessness? Maybe Yes!

We see things from different angle.

A car owner have his opinion whereas a driver also has his opinion. We are all human.

Let give him some accolades.
Give him some accolades, he needs some accolades ....

While you're having the best day, am here having the worst day.

Woke up as usual, used my car remote to open my car.
The car security alarm went off, I tried using my key to put it off it refused. I tried forcing the key into the car key hole, it refused entering
while forcing it the car key broke in the mouth, had to use plyer to remove it after much struggle, I came out, now my whole compound is awake because of the alarm.

Anyway to cut the story short, I finally dealt with it.
Now am online by 8am on taxify no request waited till like 9am no request, drove round my usual spots I get request, still no request.

I requested my self to confirm everything was okay, it came in.
Now I decided to switch to Uber as taxify no get request.
Entered uber now I noticed I have been signed out, tried signing back in, they keep asking me for verification code that has refused dropping on my phone, I tried it about 10x they banned from trying again that should wait for 2hrs to try again, so I google what the problem was.
Saw online that I need to make sure my line is not on Do not disturb mode.
Immediately I called mtn customer care, and the lady representative told me my line was truly on do not disturb mode, so I told her to put it back on, which she did. To cut the story short till now I still can't get the code.

Back to taxify
Went back online got one request after 30min, the lady said we will go to different places see me happy. Now I got to her destination she said her BF refused letting her leave the house, that I should cancel. E remain small make I collect the BF number ginger am.
Now it's already 11am, so I said let me just go and handle my other business then come back by 1pm to chase taxify evening trip.

1pm came back online still no trip, now I noticed my Wi-Fi Ntel is misbehaving, tried my GLO subscribed line inside my phone, something I subscribed last week, I saw I don't have subscription on it, I madt.
Tried using my Accessbank app to sub, the app was misbehaving too, taking so much time to load, then after everything it will not load well to work.
To cut the story short, I have decided to take the day off, I believe it's for my own safty God is in control. grin angry grin grin
did you greet your village people b4 leaving the house, as u don use alarm disturb their sleep u left without saying sorry. please buy 5 bottles of Goldberg on ur way home, stop over at my place u don hear

Bros, thats not the ideal way to go about it..if the guy was arrested as a result of making a u-turn on the highway to please her. The rider that claimed she was dieing will be the first to get down from the car, book another ride and leave the guy to sort out himself from the mess..though, ifyeez should not have driven that far to oniru ..but I dont support violating law because of riders oooo

Yes o .. But I think the trick is to build enough cars in your fleet ..so that you can set aside a certain amount for repairs.. The fleet will have enough money that will be aside for repairs.. I think it will be hard to put aside if managing for others, unless your particular client has 10cars that you manage for him.. The more cars you have in your fleet, the more money you will be able to set aside for repairs..
Always keep in mind not all business are profitable at the start. It might take 1year before it now becomes profitable.. But during the first few months in business, you will go through trial and errors till you finally perfect the business. That is why in business you start slow, and you start from the bottom. And slowly you walk your way up... this uber business I don't pity nobody at all ..people that are rushing in and not doing due diligence will suffer the most.. It is a very profitable business as much as non profitable ..
more money more problems
BusinessRe: Chronicles Of A Partner-driver / Fleet Manager/investor by Carshopper(op): 6:44am On Jun 08, 2018
The zeal sometimes goes away.. U sit down and ask questions 'is this truly profitable?', how come when repairs issues arise, they take most of the earnings ... do i pull out?

Guess what, I drove a camry 08 for a man for 13 weeks with steady delivery. By the way I told him I could only drive the car on my own Uber platform since I am a partner too to which he agreed and moved his car to my platform. During this period I had been managing the ac and still delivering the amount we agreed weekly. Only for him to tell me he needed a raise to which I agreed But when I complained about the ac not functioning well in the afternoon, he collected his car.

Some partners are just greedy or naturally wicked. Since then I have been looking for a car to drive.
come over here...

Fleet management works when all hands are on deck. Everyone is accountable for something.

We learn every day, we try to put in new ideas and strategies. We noticed that preventive maintenance becomes much easier when there is a reporting system in place which keeps you pre-informed about issues likely to occur in future.

wawu... most challenging week, but it definitely ended well.

One vehicle break down on Friday but by Monday @gazzuzz touch worked the magic and it's back on the road.

Another vehicle getting stubborn, but again it recieved the touch

Most important thing from last week is my driver-partners rallying round and coming up with funds to fix one of the vehicles.

Yes driver-partners got a fantastic reward for been committed to their weekly payouts

Someone wondered how i told my partner i wanted to love-vendor my car when taxify snookered me. (and he agreed huh?) "why didn't u continue with uber and keep remitting"?
Me: i needed a break.

Lemme quickly tell u the kind of person my partner is;
I can call him now and say i found one mad lounge or bar in town that he needs to see
He will be like: lets go on convoy na, make i invite one yeye babe.

(free day, he could end up spending more than the 35k remittance sef)
Everyone go home happy. Hustle continues cool cool
and u dey happy for that kind trips... grin

Of course we do all those maintenance. U can't subject ur car constantly on Nigerian road for 2years and expect it to be healthy. Uncle gazuzu I know u have no experience about driving uber or taxify, ur comments comes from the angle of car owner. I enjoin you to register as driver and drive for a month. U would Gather enough experience to face reality the way we do.
Thanks
We don't

Now to the final part of your analysis, there are things Called Preventive maintenance.

brake oil, waterpump, transmission oil, radiator coolant, axle oil, timing belts....

These are parts that should be replaced at certain intervals weather or not they seem defective.

You should read more sir.
