Your friend is not diabetic as everyone is assuming. Most Sickle cell patients often suffer this skin condition. What you should do is this, go to any pharmacy, buy electoplast bandage, clean the wound or better still, meet any road side chemist to clean the wounds and cover with this bandage. Repeat again every three days to one week depending on how the wound feels. He should keep taking his antibiotics and blood vitamins too. In a matter of one or two months, that wound would be healed completely. |

The cases of k*dnap in awka now is worrisome. Today marks it one week that my friend, his girlfriend and his guy were k*dnapped at ifitte and we contributed over 8m between that night and early the next morning before they released them(tied their hands and legs and threw the guys into a ditch while leaving the girl beside the ditch with her hands and legs also tied). They still made away with his car es350, his two phones, his babe's phone, his friends phone, and all the money they had on them and in their bank accounts worth over 1.4m in total. When we went to report at the station in the morning, the first thing one of the officers asked us was whether the k*dnapped victims had been released and we said yes. He then asked why we came to lay a complaint since they already regained their freedom instead of thanking God. Funny enough, a barrister we called that night already told us that that response was what we were going to get if we report to the police and definitely, his prophecy didn't cast. |
MasterJayJay:you're a fooool. I thought you were sensible enough to be given attention. Get lost and go use 500k for your duplex. Person wey never price bag of cement before go come dey get opinion for issues on building construction. Body go tell you when you start. |
Umuinyioku:He does not know what he is talking about. And so are you. I am a practicing architect and I will tell you for free that 27m cannot even do that project. I did a renovation of my dad's olden days four bedroom bungalow, just added two toilets and a septic tank, did parapet and stone tiles roofing, pop in the lounge and corridors, conduit piping, general tiling, aluminum glasses and china doors, etc and I spent 13.3m. As at that period, a bag of cement was 5500, now, a bag of cement is 9500. A length of 12mm was 5400 then, now is 8200. So my friend, you don't know what you are saying. |
kings59:you don't know what you are talking about |
JohnnA1:Bro, I am an igbo man, no tribalism, but if you ever hear neutralized one and several others dispersed with gunshot wounds, that story is 100% false.... |
Godwin4444:Bro, I simply asked, for comparison sake, share at least one duplex you built with 40m with evidence. Or even share where you made an estimate of a duplex and arrived at 40m. Don't sit in your father's house and say what you know not about. You say I over stated the prices I called above. A bag of cement is 9500 as at this morning. Then how many bags do you think you will need to finish a duplex. At least not less than 600 bags. One length of 16mm today is 16100. You will need about 120 lengths. 12mm is 9100, you will need over 500 lengths. 9" block is 600, you will need over 7000 blocks. You keep talking without facts. If you are a builder, you won't be making such comments. Na people like una dey bastardize the construction industry and at the end, you make clients start what they cannot finish or you end up using inferior materials just to meet up. Give me proof of those your audio projects you delivered with 40m. At least, who knows, nairaland members might want you to build for them too. If you can't, then stop misleading people because you have data. |
dreamwords:Life is not always like that for everyone. Yes, at 27, you should be on track towards a career path, but that does not mean that from 27, you cannot create a path an perfect it before 30. One of my village brothers traveled to overseas in 2009 and returned back in 2012 or so empty handed and he was around 33 years when he returned. This guy started a small pop corn business there in the village and gradually, the business grew so well that he migrated to beer parlor and today, he has built a mini guest house and his beer parlor is the hottest in my village at the moment. No time is late. Myself, I got admission at the age of 23, was meant to finish at 27, but had an extra year and COVID 19 added another extra year making it two years. Departmental accreditation made us wait another two years until 2022 before we could do clearance and I just finished nysc two months ago. And, yes, people do write jamb at 27 and even 30 and above and still make it big afterwards. It is all about discovering your purpose. |
Sp1ritHusband:Bro, 27 is absolutely very young to steer back to track. |
Godwin4444:Nor be by ok, I am taking my time to explain all this to you so you don't mislead yourself and others into believing that 40m will build for them a duplex with the current prices of building materials. |
Alakoriomo:The picture attached below is a screenshot of my chat with a potential client on Thursday. This past Thursday. At least just one proof.... The second image was transacted in August and from that August till now, I've been involved in purchasing over 7 plots for my clients and they are all based in Nigeria.

Godwin4444:I beg to disagree with you sir. You are not a builder. Kindly share pictures of the duplexes you did with just 40m. I did a 4 bedroom bungalow renovation early this year and it cost a total of 13.4m just to break some partitions and add two toilets, then do concrete fascia and a new roof, including septic tank and soak away and then compound flooring. As of that period, cement was 5400 naira per bag and 12mm rods sold for same 5400 naira. Right now, cement is 9000 naira and 12mm rod is 9100 while 16mm bars are selling for 16000 naira. It would cost about 18-20m to renovate that house with the current price of materials. Now I ask you again, what kind of duplex did you build with 40m. Wait until you actually start building and then you'll realize if I was right or wrong. Just last week, we just roofed a four bedroom semi detached duplex and the cost so far to that stage is about 48m. Guess what, the finishing stage will take probably around twice that amount or at least around one and half that amount. As for a buy and build land in Lagos for 10m, you go enter outskirts and after building, people nor go wan buy am or it will take you 8 months to over a year to see buyer. And as for getting buy and build 2m anywhere around any city, I want to believe you are just exaggerating. I am not only telling you from the experience of a professional, I am also telling you from the experience of someone who has bought over 20 properties in three different states around the south east within the last three years, both for clients and for myself. Ehen, also from the experience of someone who have not just built for people, but have also built with his own money. So bro, I tell you again, 40m to build a standard 4 bedroom duplex at least is a trap and don't fall for it if people told you it was possible. If you think I am wrong, prove yourself right by sending an estimate of a four bedroom duplex and how you arrived at it costing 40m. |
Godwin4444:Ok bro, I'm a practicing architect and I can guarantee you that 40m cannot build a standard duplex to be placed on sale. And talking about lands in Lagos, do you think buying a land to build and sell is same as buying land for banking. I live and work in awka and I will use it as a case study. Buying a land in a place where you can build and easily sell will cost at least up to 20m per plot. I am currently handling a project in a place not up to 10 mins drive from the heart of the town and that land was bought for 13m. Guess what?, if that building was intended for sale, it will take a long time to get someone who will want to spend huge amount of money to buy property in that location. I believe Lagos won't be any much different. If you respond to this with further doubts, I will send you a drawing so you can give me a 40 million naira estimate and tell me how you arrived at it. For a standard 4 bedroom duplex, iron bars will cost you over 6m, cement will cost you over 6m, planks and other woods will take over 4m, blocks will take over 3.5m, roofing sheets alone will cost over 3m, plastering is over 3m, tiles is over 4m, doors and windows over 3m, gate is about 1.5m fencing is over 3.5m, drawing and approval is about 1m, electrical and mechanical fittings over 6m, compound flooring is over 3m, overall labour including Mason, casting, carpenters, iron benders, etc should take over 4m, kitchen cabinet is about 1m, screeding and painting is over 2m, POP is over 3m, septic tank and soak away with chambers is about 1.5m, overhead tank with two tanks is about 2m, borehole drilling is about 1m depending on location, wardrobes about 500k, miscellaneous expenses up to 3m, security house nko..... I would love to know if you are a contractor, builder, civil engineer or just a random person who feels he has knowledge of building construction and cost saving. |
Godwin4444:Na so e easy? And who told you you can build a sellable property, probably duplex with just 40m? And who also told you you can get a buy and build property in a sellable location for 10m? |
MASTAkiLLAh:and you got to know that the story was true because you were there? |
Factcheck0001:You can't just be in far away yorubaland and assume what igbos can and cannot allow in their region. Hausa people in awka where I live celebrate their local festive season annually over here. They'll beat their drums and sing their native songs and roam the streets and no one worries them. The fulanis you talk about also celebrate their festivities where they live. Most of you guys fail to travel and just spew trash from far away. |
96k full tank every 7-8 days..Lexus ES350 V6 |
Although it is disturbing to admit, since this is happening in my hometown, but the Nigerian army are false lying fools. Their security post was overrun, these guys burnt their only patrol van at the scene, burnt everything belonging to soldiers at the scene, and made videos of it and posted telling the army to come if they feel so strong. This particular scene is not up to 1500 meters from the scene where those boys ambushed, massacred and burnt the remains of about soldiers and policemen on joint patrol around December last year or thereabout that even made the governor to visit the next day. |

I bath immediately I wake up before I start my day and on how I leave my house, I must bath again. Also, Unless there's light all through the day and the AC is on all through, I will still bath again before I sleep even if I didn't step outside for the day. |
Pentagon007:They won't blackmail your name if you communicate and plead with them for a grace period. |
Every sensible person already knows this whole bullshit is just a plot and one of their divide and rule schemes. Somehow, the edos stood against their jagaban and were the major supporters of Peter Obi during the last election and that is a threat to them. Now, out of nowhere, without any previously recorded discord between the igbos and the edos, a random igbo blood just threw insults at the Oba unprovoked. |
This is just an average man's sitting room in that era. More like the sitting room of someone who is just doing fine in the city. |

Zwooks:how much is that small NPK now as compared to last year. How much is the labour cost presently. How much do other commodities sell. How much will the yam farmer buy a bag of rice or carton of spaghetti or tomatoes or onions and others in order to also feed his family comfortably from his yam sales......Abi you wan make the yam farmer sell so cheap and then can't afford to plant again because his sales couldn't even afford him food to eat let alone going back to farm. |
superCleanworks:If it didn't happen to someone I know, I wouldn't have believed. The family spent over a million naira with the intervention of our village king and some other prominent persons around to recover his body from the police for burial. |
October 2021, police on mufti came to my village, went to one welder's shop, took him without any explanation. While they were about driving out, one of our brother's approaching and passing on a bike alighted and knocked on their vehicle windscreen to inquire what was going and and guess what, the driver of the car alighted, collect a gun from one of the police officers at the back of the car, shot my village brother point blank in the head, entered their car, and drove off. After driving a few minutes, they reversed back to to the scene, picked the dead body and drove off again. Few days later, what we read on the news was that police officers on intelligence information stormed the hideout of unknown gunmen and there was an exchange of gun battle which led to the death of one of the suspects l, while others escaped to the nearby bushes with various degrees of bullet wounds. These police me tied a red cloth around this guy's waist, dropped a machete and a local one round gun on his dead body and tagged him unknown gunmen..... That was how we lost chigozie a graduate. Ever since that incident, I stopped believing the stories of Nigerian police force. May Nigerian police not happen to anyone innocent.

McLizbae:And you had to use "if you understand what that means" to drive in your supposed superior intelligence or what? |
