Nigeria is evil. Not landlords. I bet, what you charge for your services last year is not what you charge today. What you bought goods in December is not what you are buying now. Houses for rent are people's businesses too and they have the right to increase it how often they like. So far they give you the legally required notice period to either pay or pack out.

For someone who has very little support, learn a skill first before entering into any higher institution, else you go suffer.
Also, for someone with little support, study hard to get a reasonable course at least. One year learning a skill and doing better next year is better than going in to waste four five years and graduating eventually to come back to learn the same skill.
For your information, over 80% of Nigerian graduates eventually go back to learning a skill after school. So if you learn the skill before furthering your academics, you have an edge because you have a means to sustain through school and at the same time, you have something to fall back to immediately after school which might end up being your business for life in case you didn't get a job and the probability of getting a job in Nigeria after school for a nobody is probably less than 20%.

I said earlier and it remains same. If you know what life is after school, even worse for a poly graduate, you'll advise her to go learn a skill first and study later. Her jamb score is very low. She can't gain any admission into the university with that, especially for someone with no one.
Instead of wasting almost six years in the poly with grade, make she learn skill and resit next year.
Ask 100 poly students, 98 will swear none of their kids will attend poly. You too seems to need the advise more than the jambite
