I agree with you on the security concerns my brother. This time the govt won't introduce their own brand of a bike rather, the govt would flood everywhere with their buses. They would be made nearly unaffordable to people because those who invested in it would espect their ROI asap. Again, they knew the number of those riding okada and napeps is huge and they might be sharing the lagos passengers with their buses hence , the delay in the ROI.

You mentioned some northern guys who have infiltrated our city , riding carelessly and you have a point there. My neighbour fell victim of one of them in 2018. My uncle's wife also was accosted on their street once and all her jewelereies and phones were taken away.

However, the govt ban is not to really curb the menace but for their own selfish gains. Does a napep aid crime? No. Do the registered bikes like opay, gokada, etc cause accidents or aid crime? Nope. The napep carries 5 passengers including the driver and they have routes the ply. The registered bikes are insured and fortified with helmets. They dont carry more than one passenger and are ridden mainly by graduates or learned individuals. Their profiles are taken and kept in case a crime is committed, just like the uber. If there were people to ban...they should be the northern guys and other reckless riders of unregistered bikes, those who can enter the mouth of a trailer without fear. I'd have welcome the idea if they had done this and also banned napep from plying the trunk-A roads to prevent accidents.

What I am really concerned about is the keke and okada used to ply the inner streets of lagos where lagos bus transport doesn't apply to what is the solution to those ones? At least those ones should be left to ply the inner streets.

Okada and Keke has made a lot of us lazy and lacking in any physical activities. I remember one small girl telling the parents that she doesn’t want to go to UK for vacation simply because of, according to her, “one will trek and trek and trek...”

Anyways, the best approach is to try to schedule a meet with her, but try to pick out a friend of hers amongst her clique that you're cool with and tell her about how sorry you are for messing up, and urge the friend to help put in a good word for you. That should be like a week ahead before the scheduled date, and if she agrees to the date, take her to a fancy place, maybe a Cinema or an eatery, and then tell her all you typed in here, show her that you're indeed repentant and with her friend constantly telling her you're a changed person. Things will turn out in your favor.

NB: Ladies share their burdens amongst themselves and if a girl's female friends can urge her to date a guy, there's a 90% certainty that she's gonna date that guy.
