EZEIGBO1OFIMO: You don't believe In God, that's your opinion.we don't need to know that. Secondly you don't know me but u have concluded that I'm deluded. What a pity!! If you don't have any good thing to say to someone's transcripts, skip and stop spewing trash.. This disgusting attitude will discourage people from sharing and kill this amazing thread that has helped thousands. 5 Likes |

EZEIGBO1OFIMO: Remember the saying "anything that's worth doing is worth doing well ". I don't know about others but it's all part of the testimony, knowing u succeeded where others failed, knowing that God's favour singled u out above some people. In my case there were three people infront of me,a guy going for his masters in the US,a woman in her forties claiming she was going for a wedding and a family of five going for holidays. Everything checked out. They had travel experience to fill two passports, bank statements and they were really jovial with the VO,the student was grilled and even presented a bank statement. These three were denied and i wasn't. If I'm giving a testimony of God's favour without mentioning that he favored me above the people who went before me then what sort of testimony would that be?? I hope you understand. I speak for myself alone not others. BTW who's also going to ETSU for spring 2018? 6 Likes |

Visa was approved this morning at 8:30. I was interviewed by A calm white lady in window 2. THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG TRANSCRIPT! I was unable to sleep.woke up by 12 am and just started praying for like an hour. Appointment was for 7am but I was there by 5am already. After joining the non-immigrant queue at almost 7am, i cross checked my documents and found out I had printed my previous appointment confirmation for December 4th and not November 27th so I went back to print it, gave the guy 1k and he said that's for a copy and i would have to pay 2k for two copies. I told him to keep the instruction page cos I can't print an irrelevant instruction page for 1k when I'm not plucking money from a tree. He asked me to go went back and joined the queue. I was praying for a male vo but got a female and she denied 3people in front of me, i was already discouraged and just went there with my confidence at 100percent. VO : good morning, how are you Me: good morning VO : I see you're going to east Tennessee state University for bachelors in Business Administration. Why did u choose this school? Me: I chose etsu because they have a well structured course curriculum and courses that are the best fit for my focus area which is general management and merchandising. Also I would have the privilege of being taught by Dr Anna Roberts whose area of expertise includes apparel construction and design, apparel product analysis, visual merchandising, textiles and fashion advertising and promotion which is what I intend to use this degree for. VO : what's your highest level of education Me: I have a National Diploma in Business Administration and management from yaba college of technology VO : was your focus area also on merchandising? Me: no,my focus area was in general management VO : when did you get your Diploma.. Me:2015 VO: what have you been doing since then Me: after graduating in 2015 I went for a mandatory one year IT program working as a sales representative at ****. After which I was retained and promoted to store coordinator VO : What does your company do Me: it's a fashion house. We are into sales and design of male apparels and accessories. VO : what's IT program? Me: it's a mandatory industrial attachment program Diploma holders are required to go for and gain experience and skills before proceeding for a higher degree. She nodded okay. VO : did you apply to any other school, yes I did She asked me to name them and I did VO : what do you intend to do after your study Me: I intend to return to nigeria and launch my fashion brand right away. My mum is willing to support me with the startup capital necessary so I would be returning to apply the knowledge gained from ETSU. VO : so I guess your mum is sponsoring you? Me: Yes she is VO : what does she do? Me: she's an entrepreneur. She owns a day and boarding school, a hotel and she's also a major stallion distributor here in nigeria. VO : thank you for that information.. Types for a while, scans passport, brings out white paper circles and said your visa has been approved pls pick up at VI when you get the mail and remember to take your i20 as you'll need it at the POE. Thank you for applying to the USA. Have a wonderful day Me: okay thank you. NB: I wasn't smiling cos she wasn't either and she was denying people so I lost my smiling face and kept all seriousness/don't care about the visa let's just interact mood but she was really calm and that helped. No documents asked Shout out to cseejhay$Texrem for the payments, assistance, prayers and mock interviews. Shout out to jerrypeacelinks,my fellow approved candidate today Gbengaidowu and everyone who our paths have crossed on this thread since I started this journey.. You've all been amazing and best of luck to spring 2018 applicants going for interviews. God bless 23 Likes 2 Shares |

MEILYN: 1) Yes you will be granted a visa if the VO sees u as a genuine student. SAT doesn't affect your interview. 2)your age isn't an issue for admission if your documents are complete and valid 3)Tips&Advice: If your sisters belong to the Alakija family or your school doesn't require SAT to grant scholarships then don't write it. If not, then make things easier for yourself. 2 Likes |

Mind you, if your result was released on the 24th. The PDF copy will be available after 3 working days and that's also when they send your scores to your school. So wait till Monday/Tuesday before making any complaints |

folmus: I think you should listen to that guy. TOEFL isn't up to that amount. B.Y MAFIT and myexamplanet.com charges 50k. I did mine for 45k at B.Y MAFIT cos they had a promo going on which was last month. 2 Likes |

[my thoughts exactly. Anybody can check this thread including Vos. Be careful what you say here. quote author=Chidinho10 post=61311047] Nawao Una no sabi say VOs dey watch this thread? Make una no dey make things hard for people wey dey come behind una nau If you applied to only one school, there must be a very cogent reason why you did so. Why not tell the VO that? Why lie? If VOs start to dey do background verification for most information wey we dey give them, things go come dey harder.
|

Good day nairalanders, I just stumbled on this thread and i need serious help. I want to start my admission processing and I've gone through this entire thread from part 7 and I still don't get how I'm supposed to begin. I'm applying for bsc at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, University of Minnesota, Morgan state University and University of Arkansas pine bluff. I have OND with 3.04 GPA from yabatech and was told it's equivalent to an associate degree but I'll rather just start afresh. My initial plan was to use an agent but seeing as they rip people off now, im prepared to do it on my own. So my questions are; *what is the first step I should take? Should I write toefl exam before applying to the school or apply first? *how should I write application to the school and how do i go about paying the non-refundable application fee? I would appreciate all the help I can get right now cos I'm confused and still contemplating using an agent. Sorry for my long post but please help a sister out. Thanks! 1 Like |
