11michael: Did I just see UI admission is just luck. Lmao that person dey craze. Luck oshi wo PrinceCEE: 11michael, I've watched u closely and how u use seemingly insulting words which u might try to rationalise somehow. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. The use of craze on someone's opinion is as bad as bad itself.....
*winks* 11michael: But guy why you dey wink at me though. Talk your shit and go. Why you dey wink? Lmfao. Git PrinceCEE: This is absolutely one problem with u kids(not determined by age though but with reasoning). Why must puerility be at its acme when all I wanted to do was to correct and point out where you always err. I didn't mean to instil a hot atmosphere due to ur misconception. Please next time, try to read between the lines. 11michael: Yo sambo quit with your tantrums already. Just shut the hell up and move on. Thanks. If the dots are connected, we'd learn but if not we'd perish. |

employment opportunities for a sociologist its really wide
#AmJustVersatile

Oboy my department is just flooded with ladies and mehn i'm in for a long sensual ride. |

Eleniyan15: yup
lasu
so what the reason behind you opt for sociology as a course to study in the university!!!!!
or you just want to do the course like that.. no particular reason
The reason why am asking this question is that have asked alot of people, there response is that they just wana study of he course, that they don't know anything about it And it a great shock to me, how can you wake up one morning and say you want to study a course and you don't know the essence of the course!!!!
#NigeriansForYou Hahahahahahahahahaha, well i'm a dynamic person that fits into almost every social fields except maths related fields, ranging from ICT, business and managerial, planning and organisation, so i looked and Sociology is where i perfectly fit in hence my opting in for Sociology. |

it's sociology & anthropology
but in lasu and unilag sociology its a department on it own
I don't really know how both of them are interwoven
All Nass on NL should try let this thread be alive
The challenges about this course, cause sociology I feel it a non-professional course

2map: As long as 'transparency' is the word used here, the list isn't, you can say 'fair', quite alright. The 72% guys were not supposed to be on the merit list! You want 'Transparent' admission process? Open your own university. UI gave you a window, now you want a toll gate. SMH |
Education › Re: University Of Ibadan 2015/16 Applicants by cassyrooy(m): 5:37am On Oct 21, 2015*. Modified: 10:38am On Oct 21, 2015 |
2map: My thought about the merit list was for all candidates whose putme scores is either the cut off mark or above it. well, I saw something that surprised me, while writing my name on the register, I noticed two candidates got 72 n they also did their clearance for Law. Apparently, even the UI admission merit list lacks transparency. The cut off mark was 74. Any law student in the house? The UI Merit System is no joke, exceptions like the case you mentioned is strongly a rare phenomenom, heard of that too, a list that contains the names of about 90% student who sit on cutoff and above is fair and transparent my brother as no names were omitted just to fill those 72% in. Last time i check, even this new administration isn't 60% corrupt free. |

treasuregr8: Done with my clearance. What a hectic and interesting day I had here in UI. Met Cassyroy, Olatuji, Getovame and Misspresident. Met some other coursemates (Non-Nairalanders). You guys are awesome. Sociology will be fun (impatiently anticipating).
I thought cassy would be one 'average in height, dark and an introvert' guy, but I met a tall, fair and interesting guy.
And guess what, Cassy was like (I even thought I would met a soo slim and stubborn treasuregr8) *covers face* You were my biggest surprise, i always had this notion that 'you were one snake that always refuse to die(like those stubborn village gals with punks)' even when the head had been cut off, but when G.O.M and OlaTJ pointed 'that gal with Nike', i had to comfirm that lie. Chai! Mama T, abi na Ify? I cant wait more to know you better when we resume so as to make it up to you. Forgive me.( gbaghara m) Misspresident (favour)- hmmm, make I talk true, I was a bit shy to mingle with you, but I no express am sha. Nike, i looked forward to seeing you, finally we've met, you're just a quiet person, i knew that the day you called me some time last month during P-UTME exams but seeing you yesterday, i saw you for the first time, you've always eluded my perceptions and thoughts, i hope to know you better when we get to resume. I'm happy I met u guys, y'all made my day *kisses* Who wont love Treasuregr8? I didn't but now? |

Superjaytop: Pls iz it possible 4 som1 wu did nt score up 2 d cutoff mark 4 his course 2 gain admission 4 dat course(wit long leg) The truth is, there are 100% chances for you to get admitted on merit in UI, my advise to all of you is to fight for merit list. Don't play with the merit system concept in UI, it works. |
