Education / What Do You Do When There Is Nuclear Explosion by castello: 3:24pm On Jan 14, 2017
Countries that have nuclear weapons have over the years tested them in other countries, subjecting the inhabitants to the aftermath of the explosion and impact.

You may have heard stories of the effect of nuclear weapons but do you truly understand the risk of a nuclear explosion in Nigeria or know what to do in case it happens? Is someone doing anything about existing nuclear weapons? Is there any law preventing countries that possess nuclear weapons from using them against those that do not have? What is Nigerian government doing about it.

Take this survey
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScH0wxbiUmqxRVU9nt3q9tp7Dy-Cc4EtSONrdHVmArhjv5KIw/viewform?c=0&w=1 to assess your awareness on Nuclear weapons and issues around it.

The survey is for Nigerian citizens and permanent residents only.

Romance / What Will You Do When You Receive This Kind Of Phone Call by castello: 3:20pm On Mar 03, 2016
A friend confided this to me but I am short of words of advice.

She laid in bed with her husband when suddenly her phone rings. The number was hidden. She answered and a male voice calls her name. Long time o. Can you guess who I am? He then offers to give her a clue but tells her to promise not to laugh. He said, 'long time ago, I used to make you scream out loud when I was fvcking you hard. Can you guess?'.
She angrily cut the call.

But if it were you, what would you have done?

My story

She relapsed and would suddenly collapse in the middle of nowhere when she was 5 months pregnant. Thank God she didn't sustain injuries. Even her Drs cant explain the cause.

Then came the preterm contractions when she was 6 months. She spent 5 weeks on admission, underwent surgery to deliver me a beautiful baby boy.

In all, it was worth every dime spent. I even got her a new ride to show my respect and love for her.

Women are wonderfully and strongly made.

Business / Re: PHCN Estimated Billing Is Closing Down So Many Small Bussinesses by castello: 7:07am On Jul 15, 2014
My experience is no different from yours. My ICT business is Abuja -based. We received the new prepaid meters in mid March 2014. That month we exhausted N5000 recharge in less than 2 weeks even though at any one time, only 2 ACs at most are turned on and less than 5 laptops with intermittent use of the photocopier and printer. Now that business is picking up, we average 10k - 15k monthly. Some others are spending as much as 30k monthly.

I asked the NEPA Technician who fixed it what was happening and he says categorically that the new investors will like to recoup their money fast hence they brought in these new meters which he supposed is rigged to run faster.

It is sad that small businesses are made to suffer through payment of several outrageous bills with no respite from the government Agencies in charge.

I encourage you to keep insisting on replacement of the meter. This way you can control your usage. Other options are simply a farce that won't help you now or in the future.

Take heart. This is among reasons why so many people can't risk running their business.

I am pretty sure you are wishing you had a big d**k hence writing it down on this thread has fulfilled that dream.

I guess your mentality on morality makes expressing such foul thoughts on this beautiful thread humorous.

I feel sorry for you.

Humour in deed.

If you were wise, you would attribute a woman's tears on her wedding day to a lot of things including joy, fulfillment, attainment of the madam status, opportunity to leave her parent's house or some annoying guardian, getting married to the politician, a self-made man or millionaire; i mean the list is endless. But showcasing your high I.Q. level by insinuating a newly wed will be thinking of her man's d**k and crying as a result is just a lowly thought you have of the gender who produced you. I am sure she must be very proud of what you have become.

Have you heard of wise-p
I have heard many youths complain of redundancy due to lack of support or enabling environment. There is yet another opportunity with government backing and completely free.

Are you a Nigeria between ages 15 and 35 years with technical skills in any work area? Do you need an opportunity to be mentored, given a platform for leveraging your skills with possibility of business funding eguipment? Then visit www.wisepnigeria.org to download the application form for free.

Who Is Self Employable Project (WISE-P Nigeria) is
under the endorsement, assistance and support of the Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN)
in collaboration with WISE PARTNERS seeks to extend her activities to facilitate a Massive Unemployment Reduction and
Economic Advancement Project (MUREAP). Our mission is to strategically create a pool of resource persons in specific
commercially viable industrial areas who will actively participate in reasonably addressing one of the greatest challenges of our
time- UNEMPLOYMENT, which is currently booming as a result of the deficiencies in technical and vocational skills acquisition,
education and training.

The program therefore aims to sustainably assist young aspiring entrepreneurs in specific industries that already have
technical and vocational know-how across rural and urban areas of Nigeria in order for them to thrive, be better equipped and
be well positioned to mentor, nurture and train their peers who are willing and striving to acquire specific vocational skills and
achieve business-life balance but are unable to actualize their dreams due to overhead costs and burdens- and the cycle
continues.

Stakeholders and relevant industry professionals will transfer knowledge, provide and share relevant information and strategy,
inspire creativity and innovation and personally donate equipments and, or cash awards to participants while influencing key
decision makers and regulators in order to evolve effective policies and promote sustainable economic development of the
country which will assuredly result in creation of gainful self employment opportunities, industrial revolution and youth
integration.

PROJECT GOALS
To discover, re-educate and upgrade individuals who already have technical and vocational skills in the rural and urban areas
of Nigeria and provide them with applicable support and relevant incentives in the form of free equipments, access to
technology incubation, business support/ linkage services and any other technical or material resources so as to raise a pool of
potential mentors (ambassadors) who will be participating in strategic peer-to-peer knowledge transfer project, voluntary
mentoring relationships, and training of individuals who are yet to acquire skills or specific industry experience.
To provide a sustainable platform to encourage peer to peer matchmaking of skilled and unskilled individuals in order to reduce
the overhead burdens and expenses of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) acquisition in Nigeria.

Bossforeva: if u run these with the certificates above, bro what will you now fill as your highest (post sec) qualification. Also, must one also have a company registeration for a business that's still about to be registered?

If you have a diploma, fill it. If you dont and still very concerned, you may visit www.alison.com for free online certificate and diploma courses in a wide variety of subject areas. You can complete one course within hours at your leisure.

And you don't need to have registered your business. Simply having the business idea is enough.

utimatedes:

You are very very wrong. You don't need university degree to participate, what you need is any form of post secondary qualification. It can be certificate from your computer training, entrepreneurship training, catering, OND etc. My sister that I help was never a university graduate.

In my validation (first edition) they did not ask of my certificte, it was my company registration, form of identification, statement of account or receipt etc and when my sister went for validation, they never asked her of her certificate or what ever.

For those still wondering on how to answer those questions, i have a free ebook that you can download free and learn more including the secrets on how to answer those questions. Visit http//utibeetim.com/youwin.

In couple of weeks, I will be sharing more tips and answers to those questions and also how to answer those questions on my blog.

Ok! My bad. Apologies for the misleading info. Its actually a post secondary qualification. We were asked to submit our certificates during validation but many didn't bring it because we were not pre-informed.

Also note that courses in business management, entrepreneurship, and technical expertise in your core business area makes your submission more valuable for selection.

blink182: Is it possible that only people who already have businesses and need capital to expand are the ones winning?

In other words, has anyone seen any new entrepreneur win this?
I registered my business in August this year and yet to get an office. Lots of New businesses won last year. Its assumed that new businesses can't win because they overlook important details in preparing their business plans. Established businesses already know wetin de so its easier to provide the requested information.

Randyjay: Hi Nairalanders, can anyone in the house help me out with a guide to writing an acceptable Business Plan by YouWin. My mail address is: okonjames89@yahoo.com or call: 07085999096.

Guy, business plan guide is every where especially on the internet. Go to bplans.com. The thing that makes a business plan acceptable is content. Realistically, it will be difficult for one to dole out their sweat to you just like that. My candid advice, download the business plan template, do your research and tailor your findings to your preferred state of business location (demand and business climate differs due to several reasons: culture, belief, society, etc).

Or you can approach a business development company.

But note that its a series of questions that you provide tailored answers to and not a straight forward business plan.

Heads up to those waiting to resume at the LG offices. Look up the nimc website and you'll see a call for submission of interest in development projects, most of which are LG offices in different states of the federation.

Message: Do not despair. Your apl is on the way. Whatever d project, it must be completed this year so that they can close their account booklets. I stand to be corrected on this assumption. So whichever be the case, wear your clothes of patience once again.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nimc 2012/2013 Interview by castello: 12:00pm On Nov 01, 2013
Why the strictness? I really dont think its called for. It is human error if the number to receive an sms is incomplete or incorrect. Lets not attribute everything to network failure. This error can occur during selection of recipients especially if it is manual input. I support all calling for publication of names of successful candidates. And a cue to nimc, they may call all who are yet to take up their appointments for reconfirmation before discarding their apl. My thought really.
