Gmajor: Please I need help. Once I get to Delta, how do I get to this location:
Name of CBT CENTER : Delta State Library CBT
Address of CBT CENTER : Opp. Felix Ibru Secretariat. Mariam Babangida Road, Asaba Anywhere you're coming, once you get to Asaba, tel the driver to stop you at Okpanam road (If coming from Onitsha, that is after Summit junction, the if coming from Agbor, that is before summit junction). Then alight from the bus and enter the okpanam road( if coming from Agbor, you alight and cross to the other side, but if from Onitsha, no need to cross, just alight and enter the okpanam road) you will see a big pillar across the road inscribed (Welcome to Okpanam) Then board keke from the road and tell them you are going to state secretariat. The keke man will point it to you since it is along the road. It won't cost more than #100. Once in, you can ask people there, sure you will see your mates there. Wishing us all well. I'm writing from home. |

lahizak: LOL. Don't just assume. It really doesn't work like that. Every one in a top position in the MDAs knows that once they retire or leave that office, people forget them. It has nothing to do with behaviour. The people that take over came in with lot of promises and lot of their own people counting on em to think of somebody who don retire or leave office. I know a powerful and nice director whose house use to be filled with gifts around december, d next December after he retire, na onlt 4gifts he got. That's d reason i don't even disturb dos state commissioners for FCC. I know dem too get thousands of family and friends dey trying to get job for Lols, good submission |

KevUnique: Haha, well, you made a good point in your writeup, Sir. It is true that some people were not good or helpful towards others when they were privileged to occupy certain public positions, and when they left them, those seemingly once loyal to them decided to turn their backs on them and especially their family members by extension. But I can say for a fact that this was not the case of my late father. The dude was cool with all and fixed a lot of people from different ethnic backgrounds into various capacities, especially with the technical Aid Corps (TAC) scheme which was an initiative of the ministry of Foreign Affairs and still is. They all got to be posted to various Caribbean and other African countries . All I suspect is that my late dad did not play his cards in a political manner and he was not much of an embezzler and thus, must have fallen out of favour with certain other key players in his circle of power. Maybe he was an obstacle to most of them siphoning the funds meant for the department, cuz we heard the audits of the office were still in good order and funds Mostly accounted for as at when he vacated the position. Well, it's past story .. no need now. But that hurts to an extent and shoes the way we humans can be. You are only useful while you are useful(I.e- relevant) I still would like to work in that ministry , anyhow. Lol,I was even by the front gate of it on the 6th of this month. I was just looking at the building like "hmmm, God oh". But I was headed for the building opposite it. The civil service building , with a female friend of mine. May life turn out better for we all . Amen Amen o my brother, I get what you're saying, may God help us all, that when look back at this stage, we will smile coz we made it |

KevUnique: Bro, it's not really true that you would get to be travelling out. It depends on the capacity in which the person is serving. The department matters most. My late father was a director General in that ministry and that's why he was always out of the country on so called official duties every month (even thought I didn't see him do much by himself ) So as an entry level personnel, I don't think you will be getting to jet around abroad on official duties yet. Till after years of ascending the ladder of the hierarchy. But it's a good office to work in. It doesn't require much technical-know-how from its workers. So long you know current affairs and you get eyes to watch tv and you are not living under a rock. Besides, some roles are just to carry files and go drop them on some ogas deask at 8 am. If I see a slot, me I will take it. But I won't pay nothing much jor. When I'm looking for money even. It's funny , this is coming from me who has had connections in that ministry in the past and I'm supposed to have ways of being fixed into the system but see its not even possible for me now. That's life for us..When dad die go, no one remembers you again. That's why I kind of like northerners for their bond and the way they favour themselves. Hmm, so deep, sorry bro for the loss, but you should have been remembered since your late dad was a director general in the ministry, he must have people or someone who was impacted by him, that kinda leave one to question the lifestyle your late dad lived. When you made reference to the northerners, I quickly understood where you are coming from. I'm from the southern part of this nation, Delta state precisely, and our people (East and South) don't value the word "help" they feel they are gods already, they dont want to help anyone. I and a good friend (an Igbo) in this platform visited an agency headed by an Igbo man, we got there, submitted what we came with, moments after, we got a call from this our Igbo brother was said we should come to his office, our hearts were so joyful because we thought our days of carrying CV were over only to be disappointed by the flames of hatred and anger this man poured out, he vehemently said there is no vacancy!!! I and my friend had to leave drenched in shame and disappointed... Now tell me, as a human being, if that man retires today and I happen to get a job there as the HRM, would I agree to assist them? What if he helped us? Won't i help his children too My father told I and my siblings a story of his old time friend, whose father retired as a top manager in Nigerian breweries, many years after, this his friend finished secondary and then the university, this time the dad is late, he heard NB were doing recruitment and he applied, the day of interview, the panel members asked if the father was so so and so, and he said yes, they just told him to go home and enjoy his meal that his late dad was their mentor, that he saw them as his kids, weeks after, this young man got a job there. So bottom line is, live your life well so that even when you live office, your children will still enjoy your impacts |

casal: Hello guys, I am a graduate of building, I applied for the engineering category, but my application status was showing 'REJECTED' after submission. To my surprise I got the test invite when I checked my mail yesterday. Who else experienced same Could it then mean that they are inviting everybody? Could it mean that number of applicants aren't up to the required number? Could it be that they will surely employ us all?? Could it be ? @Newcastle and others in the know can you please help us with at least, the number of candidates to be employed? |

Houston17: Good evening guys, please I need clarification on the issue below.
The primary school where I finished from didn't issue First School Leaving Certificate(FSLC) and I didn't take it serious back then. But as I speak to you, the school has packed up and it's impossible to get the stuff now. Is there anything I can do about it? Can my testimonial from the school be used in place of FSLC?
