2023 was a tough year for me... Didn't get my dream job, was hoping to advance in my academics/career too but disappointment came knocking... In all, I thank God for life and for where I still am today. Even in my lowest, lots still look up to me, so I thank God. Thanks to you all my nairaland fams, those that our bonding has crossed nairaland even to WhatsApp and to all of you here dishing out good information and making the thread fulfilled, I appreciate you all.

On this note, I want to sadly announce that my presence here has come to an end for now, because seeing your updates and having no one to push for me makes my heart ache, I don't want to die soon๐Ÿ˜. So I'll be off a bit and my next post on this thread if ever again, is when I will be testifying of having a better career, or if japa lends me it's hand. Till then, I remain your brother in the struggle, may God answer our heart most desires. Ameen๐Ÿ™

Bye y'all and Happy new year in a bit

David Umahi almost use hunger kill these people.

He was busy building bridges and stadiums and airport in the state that the people do not really need while the own state smelled of poverty. Zero human development under his tenure.

This governor is on the right track.

But the people loved it na, I served there in 2017 and you need to see how the masses worship him for being the best man for the job

The fact is that, they don't want people to know they are earning good salary . I remember someone posted it on this page sometimes that no State in Nig pay BSc holders up to 100+... So funny

69k was on the APL.. After deduction of tax and others.. 58k[Olevel] ... ND holders 100+

Well lagos state civil service is understandable coz of the very high standard of living. Imagine working in the Island and you live in mainland, or even the stretch in mainland is killing too, imagine working in places like Ikeja and you live in Ikorodu or Ikotun. Earning 100k in lagos is like earning 60k or even less in places like Delta.

In as much as I don't want to discredit you, this is fiction unless you prove otherwise. There's no fact in your claims, anyone can come up with stories like this. It's more like when you see articles/speeches written by AI.

We all know how cbnwords and one other nairalander by name ojoto1 was mentioned because they turned down an offer from nwanyiogwashi, the former pleaded with her for another location coz he's traumatized over his relative's death in that very institution, while the later is about the location. They still haven't died or committed suicide.

Till you mention the person, this post has no validity. Someone still did this too, he quoted an anonymous moniker over fraud, mention the person he/she refused. Anyone can insult me, but one has to be cautious for there are just only few good ones in Nigeria now.

Ooops, stray bullet don hit me ๐Ÿ˜‚. Omoh those days were sad for me though, but we thank God for life, man never die. I still don't think I'll take a university offer at uniport even till date! That is one of the places that have sent me frozen fears that refused to calm down. One day sha, my dream place will become my reality.

Aleksandra, it's been a while, you no reply my W messages, hope all's well? Reason you guy small something na

How true is this? I just came across the writeup somewhere...

Your fellow Southerner is in a position to give you employment.

You go to him for employment.

You speak good English and write an excellent application letter to impress him.

He tells you to bring your credentials.

You bring your First Degree (First Class or second class).

He tells you to go and do your Masters and even PhD for you to get the job.

ON THE OTHER HAND

A Northerner is in a position to give employment.

An Hausa Man goes to him.

He speaks Hausa to him.

He tells him to bring his qualifications.

He brings a third class degree or an SSCE with two Credits.

He gets the job and saves money to further his education.

He gets a Masters Degree while doing the job.

Tomorrow, he is appointed as Executive Director.

Ten years Later, he becomes Chairman or DG of the Agency.

The Southerner sees this and hates on the Hausa Man.

He accuses him of nepotism.

But that's not nepotism.

That's communalism.

Southerners must understand the difference between nepotism and communalism.

Helping your Brother to succeed is not nepotism.

Southerners just need to learn how to love one another like Northerners do.

Stop hiding opportunities from your people.

Northerners do not hide opportunities from their people.

Help a brother get a Job today, show opportunities.

Don't talk Love, just show it. Don't tear the appllication of a brother who puts the trust of his life in your hand. He might be the one to save you when your trouble comes in that very office.

This a sad reality that we are all facing.
#thinkaboutit

I can relate with this. This is exactly what 89% of our Southern elders say, that the North full govt and they're not listening to them, but they forget that these people didn't just become MD/CEO, they were assisted by their persons.

One of my Southern leaders and relative to my dad then a secretary in a particular top notch minister's office, told me to graduate first, after which, he said I obtain my NYSC, thereafter he said I go for M.A or have good experience... Since then till now, uncle don ghost us๐Ÿ˜‚

we need to change this narrative and make Nigeria a nation of equity and equality for all.

What is my hope in getting a job with Federal or State Government in Nigeria?

There's hope for everyone as far as you're a graduate, not minding the course of study. As Nigeria is now, what you need is a connect, prioritise having a connect than to have a CV grin. You will do well in agencies related to environment and planning...

Good morning everyone. I wish us all a happy Sunday and a blessed week ahead.

I feel the need to say this. While there may be well-intentioned people on this platform, we can't ignore the damage that wolves in sheepskin will do if we allow them to operate. If you are not a criminal element, you shouldn't be angry when you see the police operate. If you are not a potential scammer, you shouldn't be angry that we warn people of scams.

And this is a message to jobseekers, things might be tough but don't let your despair force you to worship tin gods. Nobody (absolutely nobody) will give you a 30-35 year career because you tagged them on Nairaland without asking for money. Just be careful who you give your money to.

And to the ones hinting at the possibility of hate, I can't do more than one job neither can I prevent the FG from employing the people they want to. Just be careful who you worship on here.

This isn't his only moniker, this is for trolling and jabbing here in nairaland. His other account may still be active here on nairaland and even in this our thread. So, on this note, let's not take him serious, only if we all will be "matured" enough to read his post and make him feel useless by not replying him. Please everyone

My brother, most of them don't know what the future might tell, I see nothing wrong If the man help his nephew, who knows if her own daughter might even need the help of that nephew from another angle in years to come.

Some soul are just bitter seeing their close relatives progressing in life, no wonder a Yoruba adage said " Ajumรณรณbii' Okan Taanuu.

Lols, exactly what a relative of mine told my dad some years ago, I think in 2012, when my dad took my elder brother to his house to seek for help in entering Police Academy. That my relative told him blatantly that if my brother enters now, he will rise in rank and be higher than him. Imagine! That relative never helped my brother and that's how he lost entry into the academy. Today, that my relative is dead, his first child just wrote his Jss3 exam. His wife is a provision seller somewhere in Benin and the kids most times need help financially.

In life, whenever we have opportunities, let's not retract it, rather, lets give it to the available, even if the available is your relative, friend or even a stranger. The person you help today may be of help to you tomorrow, either directly or indirectly. In all, let humanity speak to all.

I just imagined if my elder bro was assisted by this man then, he will never forget the family. People have helped us in this life and I know the extent to which we can go for them when they need us, not financially but in other ways.

Conclusively, may God help us all and grant us our divine helpers who will help us without thinking twice about it. I am still a job seeker, graduate of English (2.1), if you can assist, God will never stop listening to your plea.

Well, it depends, some get their payment between 3-6 months of capturing, but since the other person is your colleague, and the IPPIS guy has informed him/her, believe am na, if it comes better, if it doesn't then put your mind within 3-6months.

But note that your salary starts counting on the day you assume office, ie your assumption of duty
