I once wrote a web application for a client in Greece which is a property listing web app for estate agents. Each property listed on the website has a QR code containing all the information about the property, the cost, the contact details of the agent etc. If this is printed and placed in public places, a person finding a house can easily and quickly scan the code and get all the details. This is a practical use of the QR code.

I created a QR code generating class with a few of PHP's internal functions to handle images. In recent times more powerful classes have been written. Have a look at this: http://phpqrcode.sourceforge.net/

By the way its not logical to call it a barcode (its not made of vertical bars). The full meaning of QR is Quick Response.

The only fault I knw of is "trusting too much". When these people now realise what they've done, they now start apologising and by that time I've gone bak to my shell and I don't want a part 2 of d former act. Trust me, in our world, nice and good people are taken for granted!
