I ask because you keep mixing basic concepts.

Again, I said this is Court bail which is very different from Police bail.

As I told you before police bail is meant to be free. The money police collect is fraudulent and of course, it is not returned.

The money the Courts collect is a guarantee not a payment and anyone who makes such deposit is entitled to receive their money back by law. As to what happens in practice I do not know but if you don't understand these basic concepts stop commenting on the issue.

You still don't get it. This guy is from the street. I mean, core street. He was living a very rough life and was just like the "area boys" you see at the Toll Gate. Most guys like him live on what they get from drivers, bikers, rich folks passing by especially in traffic. He never imagined he could make $3k just within few hours.

If it were to be that he was still on the street and was given such money, if someone wanted to cheat him, he would have gone physical with such person. It's his way of life. Bail is not income. It is returned to the accused person once the case has run its course and they appeared in court as and when due.
