DTaj: The IDIOTS at Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) needed their supervising Minister to tell them that Nigerians were facing difficult economic times?
Don't they shop in similar markets as other Nigerians? Don't they read newspapers at their offices? Don't they listen to daily news?
Are we sure that there are no saboteurs in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government?
Why would a human being with a brain, the DG of NAMA that is, have to wait for the Minister of Aviation to tell him that a wholesale 800% increase in any form of aviation charges by ANY government agency, at this time, when return tickets for 1-hour local flights are already as high as N200,000, is STUPID AND WICKED?
Damn! Tinubu is giving them that privilege. He has been approving hikes in sundry sectors. |

Nonybb: I knew that Nigeria is doomed when Satan resurfaced Buhari and Tinubu in 2015 as opposition. We are already bad in economic aspect but I knew deep down that these two was a greater devil then. I mean, let's be honest; how can you trust an analog old timer with a cast mentality like Buhari to lead the country. Even some of you can not allow Buhari to manage your company if he apply as COO (chief operating officer) let alone lead more than 200 million people. Tinubu's own anathema is arrogance, greed and solipsism. They handed Lagos template to him and he screwed everyone, thinking that Lagos State represents a complete microcosm aspect of Nigeria Those that opposed Buhari then were called ethnic bigots, wailers And political amateurs.... See where their political sagacity has led us to. |

Prenonjebose: Too late for all these knee jack, emergency, fire brigade tactics. The fundamentals for better living conditions Nigerians is still missing. The root cause of these problems, vis a viz IMF induced policies, must be relooked. The oil theft cabals responsible for all manners of opaque and shady deals in the exportation and subsequent importation of refined products must be transparently dealt with to end the unending subsidy imbroglio. Issues of insecurity through banditry, kidnapping, insurrection and other criminalities must be treated without the gloves on. These unchecked criminalities have made lives unbearable for many. The country has become a huge crime scene where nobody suffers for any economic or social pain inflicted on the people. New taxes and tariffs are continuously being introduced and existing ones increased without scruples as to its attendant impact on the teeming masses. The attitudes, words and actions of many of these politicians at federal and state levels are also largely insensitive to the pains of the people they are supposed to govern. It is a long walk to freedom. The first step must be taken. You write well. |

Weren't you here when rice importation almost crippled local produce and discouraged local farmers? Buhari blocked that so local production can improve and there will be self sufficiency.
If he opens the border and rice and other things flood the country, na una go still complain say country dey import too much
Una matter taya person Yes he closed the borders and few years later, the local rice has become ten-fold costlier. |

ALL WE WANT IS AN END TO BAD, HARD, POOR AND STVPID GOVERNANCE. That subsidy thing no go easy oo.... Some are saying Tinubu wont reverse fuel subsidy again, but by the time he sees mass protests across the country and foreign media start broadcasting it,then he go know how far and fold That subsidy won't be easy to bring back. With the exchange rate now, to sell fuel at 200 per liter will require a subsidy of 1k per liter... FG can't afford that anymore. Our govt and Nnpc should be transparent And fix the refineries. Also look into the power sector. |

phemray: Yes, that is the reason the guy targets the ward level. Once the LG autonomy is fully implemented, sharing national prosperity programs from top to bottom will be easier. Tinubu's knows how to do this. Nigerians are bad but not all Nigerians. Imagine this being sold at maximum of 1 bag per NIN, even though some people will buy to sell higher but with time it will go round How many bags of Rice do you think the FG can afford to give out to ALL Nigerians. Price regulation mustn't be unsustainable subsidy. |

Tinubu actually meant well but the idiots around him who should be honest enough to make are the evils in the corridor of power.

Chinkoalhaji34: This is a step in the right direction! When FG takes initiative like this, it shows they are listening to the needs of the people.
Affordable rice is a big deal, especially with all the rising costs lately. If we can get staple foods at reasonable prices, it will ease the burden on many households. Let’s hope this becomes a regular thing! You know it's clearly not a Long term solution... At Best it's a One -off discount. |

Salewa97: This is indeed a proactive step by the Federal Government to address the rising cost of living. Selling 50kg rice at N40,000 is a commendable move that will undoubtedly provide relief to many households struggling with food inflation.
It's essential to recognize that the FG is taking tangible actions to cushion the effects of economic challenges faced by Nigerians. This initiative can help stabilize the market and ensure that essential commodities remain accessible to the average citizen.
Let’s also acknowledge the effort to manage resources effectively. If this plan is executed well, it could set a precedent for future interventions aimed at alleviating poverty and ensuring food security across the nation.
Kudos to the administration for this timely intervention! Kudos for a one - off promo? After over 9 years of patience |

After you chop the rice finish, hope it will magically refill itself since the unemployment, inflation... all the other problems that exist today... will continue to remain unchanged. Lol, subsidized Rice... Just a one - off offer. If they even share the rice to everyone, maybe na one cup go reach each person. |
