Gather round, children of Westeros. It's time we talked about a gigantic elephant in the room on Game of Thrones. As you may recall, last season yielded a pretty triumphant outcome for the North. During the epic "Battle of the Bastards," as it was called, Sansa swoops in to save Jon Snow's army, which leads to the defeat of Ramsay Snow and Jon's new title: King of the North. Based on Sansa's newfound badassery, many fans couldn't help but wonder if she might help rule the North in some way. After all, Jon Snow may have been crowned, but he's technically a bastard. As a pure Stark, Sansa may be just as entitled to lay claim. This leads to an inevitable, strange, and not altogether unlikely compromise: maybe the two will just get married. Before you say anything, we know. It might be a little bit creepy. I mean, the two basically spent their formative years as brother and sister. It would be a very strange jump to have them suddenly married. Even Sophie Turner herself talked about the issue during last year's Game of Thrones panel at Comic-Con. "Sansa and Jon have grown up together, they may as well be siblings. They have that sibling rivalry. I don't know, but I swear to god Dave [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], if you make anything happen, I'll kill you." Well, there's that. It's clear Turner is kind of against the whole thing, and she has a fair point. Then again, let's take a moment to explain why it's entirely possible. Related: First of all, incest is already a prevalent theme on the show. Cersei and Jaime Lannister are clearly in love and more than willing to persist regardless of social stigma. So, that automatically means it's possible for Jon Snow and Sansa Stark to pair up. Furthermore, you have to consider that there are levels. Technically, the two are cousins. As we learn at the end of season six, they don't even share a parent. That doesn't make it much better than brother and sister, but still. It matters. There's something else to consider too: maybe it's just a smart political move. After all, it's clear Sansa's got some brains and supreme strategy and even the ability to accrue proper back-up. She could prove very, very valuable to Jon Snow. Maybe they'll just have a fun, platonic marriage with all the benefits of ruling a kingdom and none of the potentially awkward sibling sex. https://www.popsugar.com/entertainment/Jon-Snow-Sansa-Stark-Married-Game-Thrones-43424406?ref=yfp |
The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has threatened to embark on mass protest over $43m It said President Buhari’s war against is questionable by shielding the real owner of the money It also dismissed the claims that the money belongs to National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has said that it would embark on mass protest that would shut down the country if President Muhammadu Buhari fails to name the owner of $43m recovered from an Ikoyi apartment in Lagos state. NAIJ.com gathered that the group alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government was shielding the real owner of the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23, 218,000 recovered from an Ikoyi apartment in Lagos state. CNPP also warned that it would organise mass protest if the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) fail to prove to Nigerians that its activity was not lopsided by naming and prosecuting owner of the stash. The umbrella organisation of all political parties in the country further dismissed the claims that the money belongs to National Intelligence Agency (NIA). This is contained in a statement on Saturday signed by CNPP Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu. It reads: “We’re worried that the current anti-graft war is becoming a show as each day passes”. “It is more worrisome when you begin to hear that a government security agency, the NIA, which is not a revenue generating organ of the federal government, is laying claim to the recovered. “The NIA angle to the controversy is nothing but a deliberate plot by the federal government to cover up the true identity of the looter. “How can the NIA claim to own N13 billion cash stashed in a private residential apartment; NIA has no office in Lagos?” “The war against corruption is now being exposed for what it truly is on daily basis, a lopsided fight against perceived enemies of the present administration, while all members of the ruling party are shielded from prosecution. “The case of the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) is still fresh in our minds; how President Muhammadu Buhari quickly absolved him of any wrong doing even before any investigation was carried. “The Minister of Transport has been at the centre of several financial scandals which were never investigated. “But any plot to cover up the owner of the Ikoyi apartment loot will be strongly resisted, with the CNPP leading the struggle. Enough is enough”, the CNPP stated. https://www.naij.com/1099658-cnpp-threatens-shut-nigeria-buhari-refuses-owner-43m-recovered-by-efcc.html |
Happy Easter to Everyone. |
Mo Abudu , CEO of EbonyLife TV, has denied allegations that she enjoyed a romantic relationship with Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi . The media mogul has also denied ownership of a flat in the building where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) discovered a large stash of monies worth $50million. Lere Olayinka , spokesperson of Ayo Fayose Ekiti state governor, had alleged that one of the flats in the property situated on Osborne road, Ikoyi, belongs to Abudu. “ Cover up game has started. Rotimi Amaechi owns the house. Mo Abudu lives in Flat 7A, money found in Flat 7B, ” Olayinka had tweeted. In a quick reply, lawyers of Abudu, Streamsowers & Kohn, says she has never been given an apartment by Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation. “Our attention has been drawn to certain false statements being peddled by individuals on several social media platforms, ” the attorney wrote. The statement, which was signed by Etigwa Uwa, SAN read: “ These false statements relate to the recent news story emanating from the EFCC that it discovered some money in a property at 16 Osborne Road Ikoyi and Mo Abudu received the apartment as a gift from Hon Rotimi Amaechi, her alleged “boyfriend”. Mo Abudu unequivocally states that these allegations are completely false, malicious and without any merit. “Contrary to these false statements, Mo Abudu does not live in Flat 7A or 7B, has never lived in Flat A or 7B and the apartment she lives in was never a gift from any person. Mo Abudu did not receive any apartment as a gift from Hon. Rotimi Amaechi or any other person. Rather, the apartment was purchased by our client in the open market for fair value. “Please note that the publication of such false statements is actionable and gives rise to claims against any person who publishes these false statements. We have the instruction of our client to trace and proceed against any person who participates in the circulation of these false and malicious statements, ” the statement read. The anti-graft agency on Wednesday said it uncovered $43.4m, £27,800 and N23.2m in a fire proof safe at Osborne Towers in Ikoyi, Lagos. http://pulse.ng/local/mo-abudu-ebonylife-boss-denies-relationship-with-amaechi-ownership-of-ikoyi-flat-id6532567.html?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=daily-2017-04-15 |
Fashola is brilliant, smart and very good. Probably he should have been smart to refuse appointment. But that was not gonna happen. You must know that event the best will seem incompetent in a failed system. Okonjo Iweala knows this. The kind of colleagues and master you have is key to succeed in any system. |

Damn!!! R.I.P fine boy. America and guns sef. |
Gbagaun!!! Give him similar sentence for rape. This is so cold. I'm out jare. |
We need to get it right. The style of appointing a head to function in acting capacity for too long before being confirmed is VERY wrong. How do you expect him to function independently. Magu has tried and is even doing more. But how do you submit a man for confirmation? Some one who is at the helm and centre of corruption cases mostly perpetrated by politician. Will they be that dumb to shoot themselves in the foot? We need to repeal that law, if there is a law anyway. |
kitaatita:Yes, I'm disappointed. However, disappointed in APC. And I'm still looking for the line where Mrs. Madueke was mentioned in the post. I expected the EFCC & INEC to point out those involved and get on with prosecution, because this is the usual style we know that leads to no conviction. They have been advised accordingly but still haven't learnt. I'm disappointed. |

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee (NCC), yesterday alleged that the federal government is planning to tap mobile telephone lines and hack other devices of citizens as a way of harassing and intimidating them into silence. The party also frowned against what it called the unconstitutional arrest and detention of PDP members across the country for criticising the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, warning that such arrests are threats to democracy. The Makarfi-led PDP stated this while reacting to the recent arrest of the PDP youth leader from Kogi State, and frontline critic of the Yahaya Bello’s APC led government in Kogi State, Mr. Austin Usman Okai. The party said Okai was arrested by men of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squared (SARS) on phantom petitions by some cronies of the governor. National Publicity Secretary, PDP – NCC, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, said, “We have also been alerted to the news of the Federal Government of Nigeria planning to tap mobile telephone lines and hacking on other devices of citizens as a way of harassing and intimidating them into silence. “These and other unholy practices of this administration will henceforth be resisted by all Nigerians. We will mobilise Nigerians at all levels to fight against the use of arms in a democratic system to ridicule and intimidate citizens of this country. We will no longer tolerate this high handedness of the APC and we therefore demand the unconditional and immediate release of Mr. Austin Usman Okai and all our members in several detention centres of security agencies across the country.” He continued, “For emphasis, on the 4th of February, 2017, the Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State, Mr. Salisu Mamuda was arrested for criticising the Jigawa State government against spending the sum of N400,000,000 (Four Hundred Million Naira Only) to entertain defectors from PDP to APC. “Nigerians will also recall that Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State during the 2015 gubernatorial election was arrested by men of the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS) on February 17, 2017 on account of exposing the Forex racketeering by the APC led government at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). “Also on March 3, 2017, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, a PDP Chieftain in Kogi State was arrested on trump-up charges and detained illegally for criticising the wrong policies, misgovernance and non performance of Governor Yahaya Bello. “Just yesterday, April 9, 2017, Mr. Austin Usman Okai, a PDP Youth leader and frontline critic of the Yahaya Bello’s APC-led government in Kogi State was arrested by men of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squared (SARS) on phantom petitions by some cronies of the governor.” He added that there are also reports of indiscriminate arrest and detention of citizens of this country in Kaduna, Edo, Nasarawa amongst others by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). “These actions of the ruling party, the APC is absurd, disheartening and a serious threat to our hard earned democracy. Nigerians cannot and should not be arrested and detained indiscriminately for criticising and holding government accountable.” Constructive criticism is the primary responsibility of opposition in a democracy all over the world and Nigeria cannot be an exception. “Finally, we wish to use this medium to inform world leaders on the serious issues of human rights violation in Nigeria since the APC administration took over power in May 29, 2015. We call on all civil rights organisations across the country and in the Diaspora to rise to this occasion. Our democracy is in serious danger and the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) must be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order as a result of these undemocratic behaviours.” http://www.smeonline.biz/pdp-raises-alarm-plot-tap-nigerians-phones/ |

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says there is no health issue surrounding telecom masts and towers mounted anywhere in the country. The Executive Vice-Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, said this in a statement issued at the ongoing 2017 Enugu International Trade Fair on Monday. Danbatta said that such belief and claim were mere imagination and myth, adding, “it has no scientific base”. “There are some individuals who still believe that telecom masts and towers constitute health hazards to humans. “The commission still maintains that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has affirmed that no result of any such hazard has been established against base stations. “Therefore, any individual or community adducing such reasons to deny right of way to the telecom companies, and prevent them from expanding services are invariably contributing to the poor quality of service in the network,’’ he said. Danbatta said that NCC had been on top of its game as the telecom regulator had not done badly. “Recently, the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) awarded a Platinum Score to the commission for exemplary performance as an agency of government. “This award is an encouragement to us and we will not rest on our oars in continuing to deliver on our mandate, especially as it concerns the consumer,’’ he said. The Enugu International Trade Fair, which is being supported by the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, is organised to showcase Nigeria’s non-oil products. The exhibition, which is the 28th in the series is also providing opportunity for local and foreign businesses to explore and access commercially viable markets in the South-East. The theme of the fair, organised by Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) is “Promoting Nigeria’s Industrial Sector and SMEs for Inclusive and Robust Economy”. The 10 days trade fair, which started on March 31, will end on April 10. http://www.smeonline.biz/telecom-masts-towers-constitute-health-hazards-says-ncc/ |
China is tempting its citizens to become whistleblowers, but the carrots offered are not as rich as what Nigeria has offered its citizens. While Nigeria has offered between 2.5 and 5 per cent of stolen money reported, the authorities in Beijing, the Chinese capital has offered a flat $72,460 to its whistleblowers. The money is due to anyone who provides useful information on spies. The policy became effective today10 April. Informants can pass information to authorities through calling a hotline, sending letters or visiting the city’s state security bureau. After collating the information, the bureau can offer rewards ranging from 10,000 yuan to 500,000 yuan based on the reports’ usefulness. Personal information of informants will not be disclosed without their consent, and informants can also seek protection from security authorities if they or their close relatives are in danger due to informing. However, informants will be punished if they deliberately slander others, or invent and spread false information. http://www.smeonline.biz/china-emulates-nigeria-offers-72460-whistleblowers/ |
I really give it to Nigerian politicians for their brazen show of shame.
I swear, I give to them. |
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Nwude Damn!!! Its so true. He has his own Wikipedia page. I wondered how he'd have pulled such, until I read he was a former director in one of Nigeria's foremost bank. Impersonated then CBN governor. Anyway a dogged bank marketer will sell anything he means to. |
Mehn...if it went down this way it'll really be bad and painful o. More info expected. |
The war is on-going already. According to the book, Peace and Conflict Resolution in West Africa by Shedrack Gaya Best, War is just the absence of peace. Oppression, Strife, Hunger, Poverty, Intimidation, etc., are tenets of war. There is no peace in the land. He's just prophesied the obvious. |
Disintegration is no longer a taboo in Nigeria! Who born anybody well to speak of disintegration in the 80s. It is clear that if some of these precautionary measures are not hearkened to, then, this 100 years of forced marriage will collapse. And it is imminent. We have tire... |
True talk. Obasanjo lacks the morals to say that. |
True. There is need for a census. I can't help but agree with you , because the figures are always reported by government officials in some other quarters as bloated in some other regions. And worst still the result is hardly or meaningfully used for national or economic planning. Integrity is all that will save Nigeria in time to come. |
Simply say, the street respect humble beginnings. Ace comedians drummed support for him, probably because they can relate to that, and not people sitting on their high horse blabbing carelessly. |
salbis:Mehn....this is what they call zero competition. He's really liked. |
