mutter: The men married them because when before they got out they acted all humble or probably even where, but then their eyes opened. I see some when they come newly "sir, daddy" and after a few months, "useless man".
How does a man become the kind of man that commands respect? Every human being commands respect. In accordance with our tradition every man commands respect from every woman and men have a different status in society. Did the woman not take a vow to submit to him or better for worse? When you do the wine carrying why do you go down on your knees? Is that just a show, a body movement. It is a promise to the man made before your family and his that you would submit to the man and go down for him. The man does not have to command his respect it is your duty as his wife.
Divorcing them would mean loosing everything, even custody of the kid`s. That is how it functions. The man would loose everything he built up. He not only looses it but looses it to someone he built up who turned around to destroy him. omg! You just nailed it.this coming from a woman is simply awesome.your husband is blessed. |

TahariX: I hate that word. I hate that being with someone means I have to lose myself. Regardless of whether I'm dating or married, I'm still an individual with opinions and principles that may be different from my SO's. The idea of submissiveness means -to me- that I no longer get to be a person. I'm just supposed to be okay with whatever my SO says or does.
And I cannot picture myself living like that. U got the meaning wrong and that is where ur problem lies. |
Politics › Re: Jonathan Is An Embarrassment To Ph.D Holders - Professor Akin Oyebode by centjamie(m): 9:57am On Oct 31, 2014 |
Lanister: Your ignorance is chronic and malignant. Only a chronic and malignant deliverance can deliver that. Just to know that you are less of an ambitious person. I am certain youve never been to school or a drop out.
Ph.D sociology can be diversified. In fact, you can have phd sociology in public governance, health, crime, guns, environement, in economics, in mathematics, in any course.
If you have a Phd in Sociology of Health and have a Masters in Public health, you can work in health institutions and earn more pay. You can be a political sociologist. Anything in sociology. So what are u saying?
Back to the Topic: We have Ph.D with pedigree and Ph.D just for fun. Jonathan had the Ph.D for fun and not for continuous research purpose. And in fact, what is re-searchable in the zoo. Are we animals?
Nigeria needs Ph.D holders in sociology with specialization in public governance, public policies, politics, environment, industry, economics and health. Not Ph.D in animals. What is ur topic? |

Education › Re: Hardest Courses To Study In Nigeria by centjamie(m): 9:03am On Oct 31, 2014 |
armadeo: As I said before you either make the cut or not.
As to your question depends on who's doing the studying.
E.g Maybe Mech engine is hard for u and u feel education is easy. I put it to you that the same Mech engine is easy to some and that education has frustrated others
. Its all relative. But it doesnt change the fact that some courses are more challenging and need more dedication than others......irrespective of who is studying it,there are courses that are naturally difficult and need extra dose of hard work before they could be passed.all courses are hard no doubts but some are harder and need extra commitment. |

M4gunners: For your information there's never a place in the bible or nigeria law, western world where it states Man should control his wife.As a man you have the same right with your wife.Women,s are only asked to respect their husband nothinq more . Bill C is not controlling Hillary C.Get that right. PEJ might be rude, that doesn't give GEJ right to control her. Are you alright? |
Politics › Re: Court Orders T.B. Joshua To Testify On Nov. 5 Over Synagogue Building Collapse by centjamie(m): 10:03am On Oct 25, 2014 |
bushdoc9919: Since he approved the construction of the building...and since he is in charge of the entity that is constructing the building, he is responsible.
The problem in Nigeria is that people in charge refuse to take responsibility for bad things that happen under their watch.
That is why there have been no resignations over the Immigration mess for example.
As for me, it is high time Nigerians started taking responsibility, and stopped making excuses.
I am not after TBJ as a person, nor do I hate him. I am just tired of the constant excuse upon excuse given by people in authority over any disaster in this country and I think it is high time it stopped.
Just last week, a Cabinet Minister in Japan resigned. Reason....some of his staff, people he btw did not employ....spent some time in a prostitute den. Using government money. Even though he knew nothing about the antics of his staff....he still took responsibility and resigned.(And Japan is a country with just 2% of the population being Christian).
If 'godless'' Japan can set such an example...why not Nigeria? Why can't pastors whose buildings collapse at least issue a statement taking responsibility for the mess? And why can't government officials whose job it was to supervise the building take respinsibilty? WHY hasn't the Lagos commissioner of works resigned.? Why hasn't the immigration minister resigned over the mess of the job recruitment?
I tire for you Nigerians....you just take your suffering sitting down, without any complaints.
I'm out of this thread. No come back hia,u no dy go anywia cuz u made a whole lot of sense. |
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Sponsorship: No Secret Trial For Ndume —court by centjamie(m): 8:48am On Oct 25, 2014 |
bushdoc9919: Correction....it was the Government that requested for a secret trial....not the defendant. This is done in cases where there is sensitive testimony to be given, like, for example....testimony by Intelligence operatives who have infiltrated Boko Haram, secret informants who are working in Boko Haram for the government...or investigators who are investigating Boko.
This is done to prevent the Bokoists from getting untrammeled access to the government's strategy against them.
What the court has done is to rule that Ndume's trial should be partially secret...ie...some evidence(the most sensitive of the lot, the one adjudged to be of great national-security importance ) would be given in camera (that's legalese for ''in secret'').
Here is an example of a similar ruling from the UK...Excerpt below.. Ur head dy dia bro. |

Just when i thought the Nff know what they are doing by not sacking Keshi after the eagles lost to Sudan they have really showed how inept they are in handling critical issues.now what is the guarantee that the Eagles will qualify with a new coach who is going to start from the scratch?
Keshi should have been allowed to finish what he started before bring in a new person. |
