xhamel89: The truth is that Igbos are highly tribalistic. No tribe does it better. They are the best in their own eyes. Others are bad, hausas are illiterates, Yorubas are dirty. All sort of things you hear from them. That feature of them is a clear a position of their tribalism life. The day an Igbo rule Nigeria, we are finish.
One Company on Allen Avenue in Ikeja here, does not only teach his Igbo brothers that other tribes are bad, especially Yorubas, it also ensure that other tribes are like Isrealites in Goshen. Too bad for who create this mentality in them.

Atlantian: Guy, let's be frank. Most people will tell you to drop her ass, but I will tell you the truth from experience. There is only one woman that will be with you when you are down. That woman is your mother. No other woman will. Better work hard and keep staying up on wealth, when you are broke, do not even expect your wife to be by you. It is simply natural. Lies from the pit of hell. |

StunnazJay: I just hope your random generalizations would not make the ladies unnecessarily suspicious of 'harmless' guys.
Because after its all said and done, a 'womanizer' is a fabrication. Every man has an ideal woman, it just so happens that she probably 'might' not be who he is currently sleeping with.
So that stirs a feeling of discontent within him, which subsequently prompts him to go out with other ladies as he continues searching for his ideal woman. You made a whole lot of sense.nice! |

seriousbabe: Its valentine season and a lot of guys are on their normal hunting process, looking for ladies that would be their vals
I have had a lot of guys ask me out and its really confusing making the decision on which one to choose that would light up that special day for me
So ladies out there, how do you make the decision. Is it based on the size of his pocket, how funny he is or his good looks, or is their any other criteria you look out for Is it about vals's day or about feelings(something that is going to continue after val must have come and gone)? |
Romance › Re: See What Pastor Did To Her Infront Of Her Fiance by centjamie(m): 4:32pm On Feb 11, 2015 |
pak: Na wa o ! What if the said fiance was your younger brother ? Almost getting married to a lady who has had several abortions that might or might not have affected her ability to bear kids. What if the Pastor was just being perceptive (either Spiritually or by physical observation) and asked the question to save the fiance from deceit and major pain in future
Am not being hypocritical but would Jesus or Paul or Peter have hidden such if they had perceived such - no be church we they talk again ?
Nobody holy pass but Jesus might be patient with sinners but never with deceitful and hypocritical people - abi did Peter not rebuke and curse Ananias and Sapphira in the open ?? The woman with the six husbands Jesus met at the well, was it not in the open ?
Please let's stop calling Dog, monkey and monkey, dog That is not even the issue.what i'm saying is that the pastor shouldn't have been that blunt.there are more subtle ways of passing such information without actually embarrassing anybody and heating up the whole thing, knowing fully well that whatever he says is subject to verification.i still think that that question was uncalled for. Talking about allowing my brother marry a lady who might have damaged her womb via series of abortion.....judging by the current trend of events,i do no think any man in his right senses would just see any girl, court and marry without subjecting themselves to series of medical tests to ascertain their compatibility,as well as to find out if they have compromised any of their vital organ(s) needed for reproduction.so i wouldn't allow my brother or anybody to rely on the vision of any pastor instead of going to the hospital for check up. |

DianimalCanada: I can't help thinking that if she had been honest about her past with her husband in the first place, none of this would have mattered. This kind of honesty has the tendency of making a woman remain a spinster perpetually.whatever happened in the past before she met the man should remain in the past.i think her mistake was keeping mute when the pastor asked her that question.she should have, simply and confidently answered no even if the answer was yes(at least to save herself the embarrassment that moment).the pastor was wrong to have asked such question in the prescence of her man. |

MzNelly: I'm not encouraging it. I'm juss saying you as a guy want a lady with BIG assets, she wants a man with a BIG wallet.
Its a circle. You guys bring it on yourselves. Is wanting a lady with big assests synonymous with greed? This mentality of the average Nigerian girl is the major cause of problems in relationships and marriages. |
Romance › Re: 7 Tips To Help Nigerian Men Understand, Date And Enjoy A Lady Above 30!! by centjamie(m): 4:45pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
Stillfire: Can this tradition still be as rigid when today more men do not have the economical power to handle the costs citing unemployment. I believe tradition should evolve and change with times. By change I mean amended to fit the state of the times and age. Sure.tradition is for man and not man for tradition.tradition should be flexible and not rigid so as to flow with the current trend.it should be subject to amendment(change).you are so right....i'm one of those guys that believe women should support their men financially in marriages and in healthy relationships whent they are capable, but i think it is more honourable and worthwhile for the man to fix the bride price alone without involving the woman. |
Romance › Re: 7 Tips To Help Nigerian Men Understand, Date And Enjoy A Lady Above 30!! by centjamie(m): 4:18pm On Feb 10, 2015 |
Stillfire: Let's continue this tradition talk.
It is also tradition that a man can marry more than one wife. Today most women won't accept that, but would like to continue the bride price thing. Isn't that hypocritical? You talk about dealing about the identity crisis. I think this is a good place to start. Should we keep our original tradition or scrap everything OR amend it. Who dictates what to keep and what to discard? I got your point....but i still think it is more dignifying and honourable for the man to fix the bride price without involving his bride.if she wants to help, she can come in on other things. |

Woged2005: This was my major problem too. People around called me picky but I was not. I just moved on when I found out that man was only wasting my time and trying to cash in on my age. When you meet a serious man it doesn't take forever. Things happen very fast. Two matured minds know what they want. once they meet each other they click. Even when the man doesn't have everything going, you can pool resources together to get things going. He must pay the bride price (with no assistance. It's tradition). But since you are working you can assist with wedding plans and settling down (aka housing, rent, furniture, etc) I admire your sense of reasoning and maturity |
