Nigeria and many nigerians are ungrateful to Keshi.
Amodu is coming for d fifth time.
If he was good, why d four ealier sackings.
His results as a national coach in not near what keshi has achieved in a shorter time.
Why are we nigerians celebrating deciet and crucifying truth.

Am sorry to say this but Nigerians are too stupiid and ungrateful.. they deserve the suffering they see in this country from politicians, NFF, police etc....

Now keshi has been sacked...is it amodu DAT will take Nigerian football to the promised land? Stupiid people, useless country.

Just when i thought the Nff know what they are doing by not sacking Keshi after the eagles lost to Sudan they have really showed how inept they are in handling critical issues.now what is the guarantee that the Eagles will qualify with a new coach who is going to start from the scratch?

Keshi should have been allowed to finish what he started before bring in a new person.

We should get foreign players and see if we no go win world cup under keshi. NFF thinks it all about the coach... Poor thinking. How many Nigerian players are world class? This thing is not magic.

Was there a contract to warrant a sack?

It is good Keshi was allowed to go but replacing him with Amodu shows NFF is clueless.

Fingers crossed and watching with keen interest where this NFF drama will lead us.

Emmysteve:
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in the early hours of Thursday have announced the contract termination of Coach Stephen Keshi as the Super Eagles head coach.

After a long hours meeting of the Executive board members held at the Transcrop hilton hotel in Abuja the board unanimously agreed to part away with the Big Boss and his technical crew.

Speaking with cross section of the press shortly after the meeting at 1am Nigeria time on Thursday, first vice President of the Federation, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi said the Federation appreciated Keshi and will give due support to him and his technical crew.
“You could recall Keshi and his technical crew
contract expired after the World cup, and the federation have decided not to renew their contract,” Akinwunmi revealed.

“The Federation appreciated his effort for the success he achieved and the development of our football.
“We have decided to sponsor him and his technical crew (Daniel Amokachi and Ike Shoromu) to any choice of their coaching school to acquire for more knowledge in the game at our expenses,” Akinwunmi said.

Former Niger Tornadoes player, Shaibu Amodu returns as the team interim coach to be assisted with three coaches from the Glo Premier League.
“We have two more important matches in the
qualifiers which we hope to secure full points, and qualify for the Nations Cup.

“Coach Amodu will take over of the team as interim coach, to be assisted by Salisu Yusuf (El Kanemi Warriors) and Gbenga Ogunbote (Sharks FC) while former Green Eagles goalkeeper, Alloy Agu will be the goalkeeper trainer,” the NFF official divulge.

Super Eagles will travel next month to face
Congo and host South Africa in Nigeria in the last phase of the qualifiers.

Let's not kid ourselves, our coaches bar maybe Oliseh and Siasia are not ready and the main reason is the sports ministry and the NFF do nothing to help this coaches.

When last did they organise clinics for them? When last were they sent on refresher courses abroad or placements at other clubs so they can learn one or two things?

How many of them have UEFA band A licenses? Let's not be sentimental about our coaches, they are simply not good enough.

Good a thing people like Di Matteo and David Moyes are currently available. They are good enough for us and can lead us to glory if we finally will allow coaches stay on the job for say 4-6 years and let them build their own teams without interference.

People will argue why the choice of Di Matteo and David Moyes. To that I say their records speak for them.

Di Matteo did a good job with West Brom with players that are a little better or simply at par with our players. He went to Chelsea a team that puts the coaches under undue pressure and took a declining team to the pinnacle of European football ( yes, he won playing football that I can't be proud of and as much as I hate Chelsea, I must say it, they achieved what my darling Arsenal hasn't been able to achieve in over 25 years of trying and it is kudos to Di Matteo).

David Moyes managed Everton above their level for many years and even qualified for the champions league. The players he had to use to achieve what he achieved with Everton are at par to what will be available for him with the eagles.

Forget what happened to him at United he had an impossible job. Many United fans will not agree but I think Moyes was deliberately used so to relieve the pressure on whoever takes over. Moyes will have Sir Alex as his yard stick ( failure for sure) and now that Moyes is sacked, Van Gaal is practically under no pressure as Sir Alex isn't his yard stick but instead Moyes.

Dennis Bergkamp is also available so also is Steve Clarke, Steve Bruce can also be convinced.

All these coaches play our type of football and they have a record of getting the best out of a tad average players.

Laurent Blanc is also available.

We do not need foreign coaches, how many times do you want us to be colonized again?

It's long overdue, we won AFCON by sheer luck not cause of keshi tactics and intelligence. He is definitely not the man we need, he was so full of himself, never takes instruction. He made some of us look like a fool. He was lucky to remain in the team upto this moment. Goodluck to him

So defeating the likes of ivory coast, guinea and Burkina Faso was by sheer luck..

Please I want to know when last Amodu handled a Team.
Is he current with latest football trends and methods.
What was his coaching record for the past three to four years?

Is he bringing old style of football?
Was he interviewed and found his anticipated approach to the game needful?

What is the basis for his appointment.

A lot of questions that NFF and its board of Technical have to answer to Nigerias

Or did they appoint him based on the ground that he qualified us when African Football is still in dark
In d old age of Kanu and JJ, when other African Countries tremble in fear by mentioning the above two names in Football.

Please Mr. President of NFF should come and tell us the Football lovers his basis for this move .

The same people that wanted Keshi sacked are now crying foul because he won yesterday match. What a country with inconsistency as a norm.
NFF has taken the right step as Coach Amodu has never failed to qualify Nigeria for world cup or Nation cup which is the primary reason for selecting him.
He has the record and it speaks for him...
