The head judge and face of Nigeria's Next Top Designer was selected because of her contributions to the fashion industry in Nigeria, her commitment to helping young designers grow as well as sponsorship programs at her Fashion Academy.

With this new feather added to her cap, Toyin Lawani intends to keep promoting our fashion culture on the African Continent and international market, which will ultimately increase the purchase of Nigerian fashion.

She also intends to raise awareness about protection of intellectual properties in the fashion industry "We have to start protecting our intellectual property, you create an outfit, post online, if it's not registered and you don't have a lookbook just consider it gone, instagram is the major social media platform where people get ideas from now" hence the need to protect your work.

"Stumbled on an American website alibaba.com selling my oufits with a 90 dollar sales offer, they even used my picture! that is my intellectual property". We all need to work together so Nigerian designers can be extremely successful at their career both home and abroad. We need to encourage and help our talented youths reach their goals" she said.

The YBNL crew lead by Olamide Baddo brings out the whole of the UK breaking the record for the attendance to their hugely anticipated Ybnlconcert 2:0.

With huge anticipation around the sold out concert, the headline acts Lil Kesh , Adekunle Gold and Olamide entertained the 5000 strong fans at the eventim apollo.

With the doors opening early, Dj”s Eni Money , Unbeatable, Neptizzle and Sean alongside the Acenoteband and other acts ensured the fans were in party mood before and during Olamide's first performance.

The only downside was the failure of Olamide to give his close off performance due to stoppages brought about by crowd trouble in and outside of the venue.

With the venue at capacity the security had no choice but to close the doors refusing an angry couple hundred fans entry into the concert.

After the headline acts had given incredible performances , the show had climaxed with Olamide returning to the stage only to be closed down by the arena due to continuous attempts by fans to gain entry into the venue , the safety alarm in the venue going off consistently and most importantly the time taken to resolve the developing problems .

The last on the list is the popular Anambra born film director and producer who won the 2011 edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards also makes the list. He made the first Sierra Leone-made filmtitled‘Blood Diamonds’and was decorated by Nigerian former president, Goodluck Jonathan, as a Member of the Other of the Federal Republic, (MFR) in 2012.

6. Emeka Ike
He is known for his play boy roles in Nollywood movies, Emeka Ike was born and raised in Lagos State by Igbo parents, Elder and Mrs. Nicolas Ike. The 2016 BET Awards, which took place back in September at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, has finally aired.

According to screenshots being shared online, a young student of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) with the Facebook name 'Tobi Medal' openly bragged about molesting girls in a Facebook group.

He advised guys to lure girls who have been playing hard to get and rape them.
When challenged, Tobi said he is very serious about his advice and it has worked for him on more than one occasion.

A check on his Facebook profile shows he has deactivated his account, but hey, once it's out there, it's out there.

A real drama played out recently at a church service after a woman allegedly possessed by evil spirits stripped to the consternation of church members.

According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday at Johanne Masowe Echishanu shrine in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. It was gathered that the woman had an encounter with God as the evil spirit possessing her was challenged during a church service after Madzibaba Bond Gumira told her she had some evil spirits.

The women tried to cover her to no avail as she went berserk. The women were forced to run away after the woman began attacking them.
