Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Monthly Net Salary Of Federal Government Ministries,departaments, Agencies And P by cesil26: 2:11pm On Nov 22, 2019 |
afrochics: Ifeanyi Ubah seems to have an impenetrable fortress. Please those that have finally met him one on one, how did you do it? So sad that of all the senators, I'm stuck with one who doesn't have an open door policy to the public.
So my sojourn into the National Assembly started last week when I read some valuable opinions here on how our lawmakers can sometimes help in getting that perfect, cushy parastatal job. So I made a few calls and someone I knew helped talk to someone he knows who's an SLA to a South South senator.
So that Thursday, as soon as I came, I made a call to the guy and he just picked me up from the entrance with a tinted official car, and drove straight in without any stop from the security. He also helped me get into the Senate building, since I wasn't wearing an official tag. Finally I located Ubah's office, knocked and entered. I met the secretary and after telling her why I'd come, she told me the Senator wasn't in town and even if he was around that I couldn't see him as he has strict policy and could only see those he gave appointments to. She finally referred me to one of the senator's aide to meet him and talk to him about what I'd come for.
I met him and told him why I'd come and after much talk, he finally told me that I could see the Senator the next week.. that I should come the next Thursday as Thursdays are the only days the Senator receives guests. He gave me his card and asked me to call him and have drinks with him the next day, I told him I don't go out at night as I lived with family.
Two days ago (Wednesday), I texted the guy and asked if the Senator was back from his trip so I wouldn't just waste my time coming to the office on Thursday. He replied rudely saying I would have to come to the office to inquire about that. He asked me where I was and why I didn't call him last weekend. I told him I had travelled for the weekend.
So finally Thursday came and I called my source at NA and told him I was coming around. He said he wouldn't be coming to the gate to pick me as he was very busy. He told me to go through the security. Security was so tight yesterday that unless you have a visitors pass signed by a senator, you weren't getting in. I stood outside for more than 3 hours before he could send my name to the gate. When I entered, Ubahs office was so full with his 'official' guests. The secretary said those guest were those he gave appointments to and if you weren't given an appointment, you would have to wait for him, standing outside his office. So I joined close to 12-15 other people camping outside his office. They said he wasn't on seat and was in a meeting somewhere and they didn't know if he'll be back to the office. I and the others stood outside for close to 3 hours. Finally we saw him coming down to enter his office and the crowd rushed him with cries of Sir, please sir.... He held up his hands and in a booming voice said
"goooo... I'm not seeing anybody today....goooo"
I still hung around for 30 more minutes to see if his heart would soften and he'll have a change of heart, but he didn't change his mind. So I left. I'm still having body pains from all the stress I went through yesterday. I don't think I can pass through any of this stress for a meeting that's not even guaranteed.
I think the secretary complies names for recommendations letter to people who already applied for some of the jobs. But meeting the Senator one on one is so darn hard! Don't mind those ashawo aides, and SLA some of them won't do a single favour except the sleep with you and this still comes with no GUARANTEE of getting your desired expectations met Some of those Senators can be so mean while some are very free, open and accessible |

Any of this ways will work Get diplomatic with the Aide at the office to come and pick u up at the gate or entrance BUT this wholly depends if he or she will chanced to leave the office at the time U will be around, But U can always talk that our with him and pray he obliges Secondly tell him to send ur name to the Sergeant at Arms at the gate, that U are on request for a visit to ur Senator's office, he or she can always work that out with the SLA at the office Crespostakes: have been able to get the contact to my Senator's media person.. he suggested I come to the Senator's office on monday. I don't want to ask him too much questions, please what are the requirements to gain access into the national assembly? |

He doesn't have visiting days the fact is U may be lucky to be led to see him on first visit AND at the same time U may not
It all depends on his schedule and if he is chanced to meet with people
When ever U wana come and see any of them be rest assured to take off every appointment U have for that day and be prepared and mind made up for a long wait, it happens that way some times

If you wanna come to NASS come in the evening or let's say from 3 pm and 4 pm when the security is a bit relaxed and staffs are about leaving the office
Go the Senate wing, at the lobby meet those ladies there and tell them U wanna see ur Senator, mention the name and they will tell U the office number
Some Senators and Honorables do have visiting days and time which they strictly adhere to
If Rochas is ur Senator, his policy be say he doesn't give out random recommendation letters, he works with slots allocated to him and he only places call across if U are really really sure the organization is recruiting, that's what I gathered on Friday when I was at his office

Just came back from NASRDA office at Airport Road, Lugbe
This is what I gathered so far
1, I met someone at the security post there and he said he is only aware people have been coming to get their appointment letters and for documentation and that things had been concluded
2. At the lobby or front desk, the person said everything had been concluded, and sincerely only a letter from a Senator may land you something
3 I proceeded to see how I can lobby my Senator who chairs a very important committee, and I was told the had sent names already some months back, there I was reliably informed the key men over there at NASDRA are after the cash most important as first consideration over RLs
4. Stopped by at another Senator's office from Imo State and former Governor, I was shocked to hear nothing as such has landed on their desk, aside that he doesn't write random recommendation letters rather they act on whatever is allocated to them through slot , moreover he can send out such when he calls the agency and one must really have to be sure things are going on at such place before he makes such calls
5. One House Committee Chairman reliably said all had been concluded and ended
All the same still shoot ur shot and give it a try |
