Good evening all

I just received my conditional offer of admission today . I used my unofficial transcript to apply and now they want me to submit my original university transcript( softcopy) but the major issue now is this covid 19
The staff are all at home and the university gave me till June 15th to submit the soft copy

I don’t know how to go about it because we don’t know how long this pandemic will last

Any advice please ??
Mail the university and tell them it won’t be possible cause of the pandemic. They’ll understand or look for a mid ground.

Hello Cflow10,

That of the parents would suffice and it should be well demonstrated otherwise it may result to insufficient funds. Given the personal and employment circumstances of the individual, including a personal BS even if the closing balance isn't in millions won't be used against the individual or application. Though if a reliable source of funds can't be demonstrated by the parents, it will lead to insufficient funds and personal status and current employment situation. On the other hand, the parents can just put in the LE into the account.

All the best
I missed this, please what’s LE?
And can anyone please shed light on this personal status and current employment situation thing ?

Thank y’all very much in advance.

They stopped it. They now send it directly to them.
Be sure about this though, cause as at December was still in effect.

Please someone should talk to me abeg. I can't find my submitted application on the mun page. I applied 2 days ago and i have been charged for it. Please i am worried
It would turn up, sometimes MUN takes time even before the pandemic. When I submitted my transcript and appraisal letter(was losing my shit as it didn’t reflect for a while), think I sent mails but it did eventually. So it still will.

That's a regular application i mistakenly created. The one i submitted is no longer there. Can you just tell me what is suppose to happen after submission
Even up till now, mine is still there. it’s meant to still show and when you click on it will tell you about your application status.

Hi Cflow, please have tried getting supervisor from Manitoba and Saskatchewan uni after sending various mails last month but am yet to get a positive response. Two already replied that they can't accommodate more students. Engineering field. Had 4.1cgpa. Last two sessions Cgpa was around 4.7. Any advice please?.
You have a very nice profile. But, getting supervisors aren’t easy. Tried to get for
Some schools, gave up and went the course based route. So you can search up how to get a supervisor, follow the steps, package yourself and keep trying. It might just work for you.
All the best bro.

They stated in the mail if it is sent from my school it is official but if it is sent through my own mail it is unofficial
Yeah, but before the pandemic they weren’t requesting for unofficial, so it’s good they are now.

They told me to tell them to send via email preferable cos they are working remotely
Ohhh if they told you then you should, but I
Don’t know if it would count as official. You’d probably send it right when you get the admission.

Please, if you want to renew your passport, I heard you need NIN(that national ID card) stuff compulsorily. Is this true or any main source of identification like drivers license and all would suffice ?
Need a lowdown from someone that has done this.
Thanks in advance.

People that have sent transcript to mun please what address did you use as recipient details

Please reply urgently needed. Thanks
@Cflow10
It depends on your program sometimes, but it will be available on your program site and around it. You just have to check very well. Most informations about the school/program you might need would probably be there.

It’s a case by case basis. 3.59 is definitely enough. Had a 3.77 and got admission to the two schools I applied to including MUN. My cousin had a 3.56 and got admission to Ottawa and already had a supervisor in MUN. Moreover mun requirement is 70% whivh is 3.5. Plus I’m still not yet sure but if you pay for a Wes conversion or with most other conversions when going from a 5 point to a 4 point scale, our gpas are always higher than the supposed approximate. So in summary you have more than enough.

From a Canadian context of 4.0 GPA Scale a B average will be considered 3.0/4.0 you can always make use of online platforma to convert your CGPA from 5.0 to 4.0 format.

Hello Cflow10,

If the applicant is matured and with working experience, its advisable to include a one.

All the best
If the applicant just finished NYSC in March, and plans to be fully funded by parents, though above 18, is it still advisable to be included? Although what is there isn’t much.

I think it depends on the particular application. I didn’t submit mine and I don’t know anyone personally who submitted theirs. (Fyi their parents were their sponsors.)
You can decide to submit yours but if it’s an online application there might not be enough space for multiple SOAs.
Thanks, I really appreciate.

Yes and it would eventually be added back to your tutition for the next semester

Please what does paying do actually.
It reserves your spot. You can easily defer to another semester in MUN too if you don’t get the visa(or due to the pandemic also).

TheBeat:
Please have you paid the 2k deposit to MUN? If yes how did you pay and is it refundable in case visa is not granted?
You can only pay in the bank after you download the invoice, it’s a third party(western union business solution) that collects the fees for them, or you can pay with a canadian back account( I did the latter)

No it’s non-refundable, it’s expressly stated, wish I didn’t pay sef but delayed as long as I could.

It is required that all applicants submits a SOA of between 4-6 months(though I have seen a couple of people that used a 3month SOA). The amount in the applicants bank account does not really matter but also depends on the applicant and the current situation(Study gap, working or not etc).
However, if an applicant is a minor(17yrs or less), the sponsor’s SOA/POF is sufficient provided there is a enough to cover all expenses.
Good luck...
So this is compulsory yeah?

Anon123:
Mind me asking, is your wife travelling alone or all of you are travelling together ?

She needs to submit her SOA, if she doesnt have enough, what you could do is to transfer money for her flight ticket or one year stay.. just an amount to support while you still maintain being th main sponsor
Sorry just to clarify, are you saying that every applicant must submit his/her SOA, even if they have both main and co sponsors?

@ everyone
Good morning house,
I have a lot of questions regarding the online application, I would have appreciated if I could get any of the gurus number here either on the group or by mail and sort everything via a 5 minutes phone call. Anyway, I’ve decided to drop a question thread here to help me get some clarification on my issues. I would really appreciate getting answers to them kind Sirs/Mas
1) in which section of the online application are the additional documents meant to be uploaded (like additional certifications, birth certificate, sop, police character reports and so on)?
2) LOEs(letter of explanations) are they meant to be attached to the sections in whivh you have an explanation to give, or should you give these explanations in your sop? ( for example you want to explain your relationship to your sponsor and show how he can foot the bill and other things) in which section should this be included in?
3) Lastly I have a passport that expires in September, since I have a fall admission, I pray to have left the country by September by God’s grace.. would it be more advisable to review the passport before submitting or to use the existing one?
Thank you all very much as you attempt to help me.

Good evening house,
Please I would like to know where the LOE(letter of explanation) should be attached. Cause I read some online articles, while some said you could place them in different sections to explain any situation, my line of thought was that there’s a general LOE/statement and I don’t know which section this general one should be attached ?
Also, I’ll appreciate if I can get sample LOEs from any of you kind Sirs/Mas. My email address is chisomokolie10@gmail.com.
Thank you all very much.
Good morning house,

Thanks everyone .

At the moment, upfront medical is suspended according to IRCC. So u have to apply and wait for a medical request. All the best

Good day house,
I’m just about to start my online application and I’m filling the first questionnaire. I intend to call up the provided panel physicians and request for an upfront medical. My question is that in the section where they ask if I’ve done an IRCC medical in the last 12 months, am I to pick no?
Cause my line of thought is that if I do pick no, as I haven’t yet, does that mean I have to do a requested medical now?
I’m just trying to beat time, as little as I can.
Thank you all very much.

Good afternoon house,
Please I have an admission for the fall semester in memorial university of Newfoundland. I would appreciate if I could be given a break down of the visa application process. Whether it’s better to apply online or through the paper route? How much is expected to have in your account? Tips on writing the sop/loe? I would really appreciate any information I can get.
Thank you house.
Please can I get a reply of this from anyone?
Just a rundown basically
