Congrats bro, really glad your interview went well.

One question though about the video of the interview, Did they not ask that you turn on your camera or is it optional?
please, I'll like to know. Thanks.
benque:
Done mine. It was very chilled. After wearing suit and knotting tie, it was not even video sef.

So first they'll throw that scenario question at you. The thing wanted to shake me but as I started to talk thank God something came out.

Then the interview questions

1. Tell me about yourself
2. They asked about my CV
3. Have you learnt anything recently?
4. Why PwC
5. Do you have a time where you had to convince people to go your way? Tell us about it.
6. Do you have a time where your integrity has been tested?
7. Do you maintain contact with professional contacts in places you have worked for?
8. Have you gotten negative feedback? And how do you cope?
9. Have you had to lead a team?
10. How do you keep up to date with technological trends?

Please I’ll really appreciate inputs on whether you think these are positive or negative traits, well they are mostly positive but I mean are they important when compared with other options.
1) choosing a diverse team and learning about the backgrounds(ethnic) of members
2) understanding the politics in an organization
3) being enviromental friendly and decisions that have an effect on the environment
4) being socially responsible and making your organization visible on social media
5) ensuring good performers get a sort of commendation

Please you can give a detailed answer if what you think by just writing your opinion beside the numbers, no need to rewrite the question.

Thanks and God bless.

Hello sir,

Please I recently got an offer to the University of Alberta for an M.Eng in Civil Engineering.

The thing is, I really don't want to make any mistakes in my application for a study permit. I have read some things online but I would really appreciate it if you could give me like a step by step approach in application with red flags one should avoid.

Also, my parents would like to accompany me for my trip to Canada, am I to apply for 3 visitor Visas (2 for them and 1 for myself) or does my study permit application cover them. Also, with regards to funding, what's the minimum amount one's sponsor should have in the account plus for how long should the money be there before making the study permit application.

I look forward to hearing from you sir.
Congratulations bro.
What was your University CGPA?
I don’t think it’s advisable to go with your parents though.

Finally, Bvl/Passport Request. Fourth Application. Glory be to God. My special thanks goes to Frankrobn1, Naijaforeigner and other gurus in the house whose contributions and encouragement helped me to achieve this feat after the unfair decision I received from IRCC on my third application. This forum gave me all that i needed, no third party involvement in my recent applications..CELEBRATION MOOD
Always believed it would work out for you.
Congratulations.

Frankrobbn1:
From the applicant's illustrations - He has been guaranteed a scholarship of 9500CAD in a University in Canada. The total fee is 27,000CAD, leaving him with a net payment of 17,500 CAD. The stated that the school allows payment per term over the 3 terms. That he intends to pay per term, and have paid the first term fee of 5,800 CAD.

Now, the Net Payment of 17,500 - 5,800 = 11,700CAD

*Applicant's first year living expenses as advised by IRCC = 10,000CAD

*Miscellaneous Expenses = 3,000CAD

Total Net payment + Annual Living Expenses + Miscellaneous Expenses (11,700+10,000+3,000)= $24,700CAD.

24,700CAD X 286 (current conversion rate CAD to N) = N7,064,200.

Given the above calculations, applicant's sponsor is expected to have 9.5M and above i.e if the sponsor doesn't have much dependants.

I hope you understand my calculations.

It will end in praise
God bless you once again.

Frankrobbn1:
It's delightful to extend my congratulatory message on your scholarship award.

With regards to your question, your mom (sponsor) has to show sufficient proof of funds for your tuition and living for the first year and proof of how she can be able to finance for the subsequent years of studies in Canada. Following the above financial illustrations given by you, your mom is expected to have 9.5M closing balance in order to satisfy the visa officer that you will not work to pay for your fees or become a burden to the government of Canada in anyway.

I would advise that you should have adequate proof of funds before thinking of putting in your application. Don't hurry to apply, seek for assistance from close relatives and friends and see how they will be able to help with funds.

It will end in praise.
Good day frank, please can I get a breakdown of why his mum is expected to have at least 9.5M?
Please I wanna relate it to my situation.
Muchos gracias.

Hello Cflow10,

Ideally, there won't be need. Logically, there MAY be need especially if you intend to demonstrate the significance of the course in that particular institution against others that offers similar institution.

N.B: there is no one rules to writing a Letter and different ways of presenting narrarives. This is what makes it unique. What is felt to be irrelevant might just be what is consider to be the dealmaker to a successful application. Being able to demonstrate onself as a genuine student doesn't only entails major factors but minor factors as your query.

All the best
Thank you very much.

Please whoever is the admin of this forum should call some people to order, we are deviating from the course of this forum. When I first joined this forum I got a lot of helpful information that aided me in applying for my study permit, thanks to u all. But now there are newbies here asking questions and getting very minimal response because you people are busy complaining of how unfair the Canadian immigration system is and whether Nigerians are corrupt or not. As I said earlier, if u feel u have been denied your right or unjustly denied visa u can quietly take it up with IRCC in court. Their are immigration lawyers that will be happy to represent you.

The one thing I understand here is:
1. Canadian Immigration has quotas for issuing student visas.
They may not publish them or even admit to having them but believe me when I say that, even though you have met all of the requirements, **the Canadian Government owes you nothing.**
There are many people from many countries that view a Canadian education with great value. The Canadian Government is very aware of this. It’s therefore a sellers market.
It is also well known that a Canadian education attained with a student visa is one of the more secure paths to being granted Permanent Residency in Canada, especially if you have managed to secure some part time work in your intended field. The number of people applying to go to Canada now are not the same as the number of people that were applying in 2016. I had a cousin who went to Canada to do his undergraduate in 2011 and came back because it was too cold. Fast forward now he applied for post graduate and got denied. Then Canada was not what it is now, so situations have changed.
They get millions of qualified applicants every day but somehow they will have to filter.

If you still want to study in Canada, try again and again till u get it. It all depends on how badly u want it. Coming here to complain everyday will not give u the visa.

If my visa gets refused I will keep trying till I get it cos God knows how badly I want it.

Can we please help others with their applications, and if complaining is so important to us we can create another forum for that.

Thanks.
Well said bro

No, you don’t need to reference your other university to convince your VO on why you’re going ahead with the chosen one. That’s just a waste of words/pages. The VO is more concerned about your purpose of visit, funds, ties etc... than your reason of dumping one university over another lol.

My personal opinion though, others may suggest otherwise.
Thanks Once again.

That’s what I’m saying.

Your reason for apply for Msc is not clear because usually msc is for people that have work experience and want to learn more per say. Also not having a job shows you lack home ties which all boils down to “purpose of visit”. I wish I can see your sop because that’s where you made mistake. If you have explained your reasons well, they would have given you. The only one i don’t understand is this contravened the conditions of admission on a previous stay in canada. First time I am seeing such reason [/b]
My regards to you faith, I hope and pray your next application is successful.

Please in regards to this application, I also feel like I am in the same boat as I just finished service in the last week of March just before the lockdown was enforced. Though I was working on securing a job before the lockdown, I’m currently unemployed.
My question is how does one prove purpose of visit and home ties without a job?
I am trying to explain that in my SOP and my admission is for an MEng, but do you have any suitable way in mind this can be explained ?
Any response would be appreciated.
Thank you very much.
