There is a popular saying, "birthdays no dey finish". Just like numbers, birthdays don't have an end. It continues until you're no longer existing here on earth.
Personally, I've never for ones celebrated my birthday. 12 of next month will make me 27 years but I'm yet to experience that "special" feeling that comes with birthday celebration. For this reason, most of my friends think I'm weird. The truth is, I don't fancy the idea that much.
I've seen people borrow money just to "entertain" others on this day. Others, especially the ladies, flood social medias with pictures. If you ask, some will tell you they just want to see how many likes and comments they will get, like WTF.
Others who cannot afford to celebrate it every year, try to do it ones in a while. I know a guy who celebrate his every five years in a grand style. This is like the time it takes for some school to hold their convocation.
I'm still looking forward to my own time sha. How about you, do you have yours yearly, ones in a while or not at all because you feel it's a good waste of resources and time?

By the way, Today is my girlfriend's birthday and guess what, she don post her pictures full Facebook

Do you know there is certain tribe were the husband's parents gets so involved in his marriage? They want to see children around as soon as possible. Two years into the marriage without kids, raises a lot of concerns

Kids they say, is the joy of every marriage. As a matter of fact the main reason why people get married is for procreation, for continuity of your bloodline.
Children they say, come from God but the bitter truth is that a lot of marriages have ended simply because the wife could not give birth to children.
So this brings the question, how long can newly couples stay with no kids yet without getting pressure from both parents and friends?

As teenagers, we always have this nonchalant attitude when it comes to dating. We hardly see beyond the physical when it comes to selecting who we date. Dating basically at this stage in life is built upon sexual gratification. We are satisfied as long as our sexual desires are taken care of. We over look things like character, attitude, "red flags" etc just to have a taste of that honey pot and most importantly, quench the usual "konji".
The story however, changes when maturity sets in. We begin to put certain things into consideration. In a word, we become responsible. All of a sudden, things like character, attitude, "how long we've dated" begin to surface. At this point, we become very picky and selective as per who we date. We spend so much time getting to know the person and before you realize, you are in the 6th year with that same person.
As time goes on, pressure begins to set in. Girlfriends at this point become unstable. Their conversation with you is always having either direct or indirect connection with marriage. Family and friends too are not left alone on the matter.
We've all seen cases of people having to date for so many years before marriage. If you ask some of them why they waited that long, they will tell you that you need to take time to get to know the person. So the question is, how long is long enough to get to know if someone is your soul mate?
