Bro Canada does not owe u visa, I pray ur study permit gets granted but they don’t owe u shit! They have every right to stop granting Nigerian citizens visa if they please. My point is, when u get rejected, don’t bring emotions here to talk down on Canadian immigration. Nigerians are to sentimental. I wish everyone well oo abeg make una free me.
Canada owe me visa and have redeemed it. Learn how to encourage people in this forum who are frustrated based on unfair decisions of IRCC towards Nigeria applicants due to the inconsistency and inefficiency of canadian visa process. There are many genuine applicants in Nigeria that has been denied unjustly.I submitted the same documents used in my third application, pointed it out to them boldly that they are WRONG in their decisions and yet got approved Canadian Vo's are human beings and can make mistakes.

Thank you Mr Frank.U have been so wonderful in this forum.your excellent tips have really help me and some other people in this forum. God will continue to bless you.it will end in praise
Frankrobbn1:

Your application is 50/50. Updating of upfront medicals to PASSED is normal and doesn't mean its certain that your application will be approved. I know several applicants that got this notification and still got rejected. With that being said, its probably that the previous visa officer didn't look into your E-medical slip before making a decision on your file.

Don't show great happiness yet, keep the faith and hope your visa application will be reconsidered by the new VO. As your parish priest has said, keep praying! And never relent.

It will end in praise.

Thanks for your encouragement
silvamania:

I guess you are right bro . I have been following this thread from the very first message
Have never applied for the study visa before though hopefully next month
Have seen people with less attractive profiles, no solid employment history, minimal funds or incomplete documents and are granted VISA without much hassle and have also seen people with the best profile denied VISA

My conclusion is basically for you to do your best to submit all your relevant documents, work on your SOP and pray like never before

If you are destined for Canada. Nothing can shake it
But don’t quit your dream for a better life

Well-done my brother. Some people don't deserve to be in this forum.I had first class in Elect/Elect Engineering worked with a verifiable federal parastatal as an Engineer with good salary, submitted payslip, salary account, leave letter, recommendation letter(was denied for current employment situation) paid complete tuition fees for two years of my desired program (was denied for insufficient fund for tuition fee).had a running business which s verifiable, had 8600 USD available in my dorm account for living expenses for more than 4 months(was denied for insufficient fund for living expenses), married with children with my wife doing a verifiable job too , had properties evaluated etc yet was denied with flimsy reasons. How can Ircc justify my denial of immigration status with no travel history?.I was given only insufficient fund for tuition in my second application as d only reason for denial. This prompted me to pay full tuition for 2yrs of d program.we are on nairaland to share information, learn from peoples mistake, encourage people and not to cajole people and your country even when u know we have genuine applicants from Nigeria..I was given bvl just 3 to4 days after d third application.. Let ircc be consistent wit their application reviews
Naijaforeigner:

I am actually searching for the truth in your post. I will address key points from your previous post.

1. Visa is not a right, It is a privilege

I completely agree.
So because visa is not a right does that mean the process should be unfair, inconsistent and inefficient?
Do you see so much complaints in the UK student thread?

Most people are complaining about the process not the outcome. If people are rejected and the process is fair, there will be little or no complaints.

10 different applicants will apply from different parts of Nigeria and they will all be refused for generic reasons. These 10 different applicants will pay and apply for GCMS notes and they all get similar generic statements. Does it not occur to you that there is something wrong with the process? To add salt to injury, applicants are even refused within 3 days. Are you saying they verified documents within 3 days? grin
Is IRCC not paid processing fees?

2. Nigerians come to Canada and don't go to school and they use fake documents

Another myth peddled around without facts.

Austacus, Wheyme, Myself, Asapant, vestment all study in Ontario. There is a woman on this forum whose husband attends my school (moniker witheld). There are about 5 other people on this forum in my school (I cant remember their moniker). Lonelydude, graduated from University of Western Ontario last year and he has a fantastic job with a very good pay. We keep in touch on a regular.

Sleeky is in Newfoundland, Bracha I think is in Brandon. There are a couple of other Nairalanders spread across different provinces all studying. All these people are Nairaland members I got to know on this forum. They moved to Canada from Nigeria and they are studying. I specifically mentioned Nairalanders so you know I am not telling you stories out of the blues. Did all these people use fake documents?

Do you need me to tell you other people outside this forum who I know personally and they all moved from Nigeria to Canada and are still studying, some graduated, some are working and doing well in Canada?

Because you all hear 2 or 3 students moved to Canada and did not go to school, bloggers post it and you all assume that is the norm with most Nigerian students.

5 Nigerians are doing yahoo, drugs, crime in Toronto. It makes headlines. What about the thousands of Nigerians doing exceptionally well? Do you use the same energy to celebrate Nigerians, definitely in the majority, that are doing well in Canada?

The sad fact is negative news spread so fast and then people assume that is the norm. We don't celebrate Nigerians who are in school doing well. We are too focused speaking about the few people spoiling the country.

3. Nigerians struggle to get their fees paid when they are in Canada

I can tell you for a fact that at least 80% of Nigerians that come into Canada go to school, pay their fees and complete their education. They may struggle, there may be challenges but they get the fees paid. Which International student does not struggle to pay their fees?

I have paid a total of 33,000Cad, is that beans? My parents are not politicians, government workers or contractors. Indians struggle to pay their fees as well. Almost all nationals struggle. kini big deal. We struggle but we get it paid.

IRCC only asked to show money for 1 year and by the way, who just leaves 33,000Cad in their account doing nothing?

4. Nigerians are not honest.

We have dishonest people everywhere in the world. I mean no disrespect, If you have dishonest people as friends, please change your circle of friends. Dishonesty has nothing to do with Tribe, nationality or race. It is all about the person and his/her principles.

I hope you have a good one.

Welldone CULKID..Some people in this platform don't know how to talk..u re entitled to ur opinion here.@OMA.Canada owe me visa because I have fulfilled their requirements.U must surely See my testimony here..Canada granting me visa anytime will not make me not to say d truth or to discourage others.let d truth be told.IRCC has been inconsistent with d reviews towards Nigeria application.most times d don't even read our various applications. This contributes to their flimsy excuses towards us.am going for the fourth time and will testify very soon by God grace..The reasons d gave me this last time was done by error We still have genuine applicants from Nigeria.
culkid:

Your view is something else! My study permit was approved on the 17th of March for Fall 2020. My husband also applied for his Open Work Permit in a joint application and was approved too. One time. Never applied before and we got it in one try.

I have not had a bad experience with IRCC but I’ll still say that they have not been transparent enough with the study permit process. I have read enough experiences to come to this conclusion. None of the visa processes is transparent for Africans. Every year we are denied for reasons that don’t make sense. People are told they don’t have sufficient funds even when they’ve shown evidence they do. Some are denied for not having home ties even when leaving a husband and children behind. If we’re going to be denied, we need more than a generic reason.

Visa applications are a racket in case you don’t know. Visa fees are a significant portion of revenue for consulates and embassies around the world. About 81% of applications from Nigeria are denied! You can’t tell me it’s unfair for people to be upset and bitter.

Here’s a link for more clarity.

Don't b discouraged dear but one is entitled to speak out when things are going wrong.am going for the fourth time with a reputable immigration lawyer. Let see how it goes I cannot b deterred with d recent development
Chimzy4real:
I don't know why one should even come on this thread to even discourage or even try to discourage people on here. I have seen some that was quoted as an "advice". Their visa was rejected, instead of saying words of encouragement, you start yawning how they can make money here in Naija etc. They didn't know they can make money here in Nigeria before applying aby. Who ask you. Please if you don't have any meaningful reply as i didn't mention any name, please don't quote me. Thanks and God bless.

I was shown an Indian study permit approval today.he was given study visa for fall 2020 within 12 days of application and we are here receiving bvl..for ur mind.d system is working.please am referring to hopeful2019.let me draw ur attention to my refusal reason:.was refused for insufficient tuition fee after paying my full tuition fee.this was the same reason d gave me in my second application that made me to pay full tuition fee..THE SYSTEM IS REALLY WORKING
SonofGod2000:
Guy who you be self? Are you paid to do ads for IRCC or Canada. See the way he is talking, working system my foot. Seeing your brothers hope and hard earned money dashing away, and you are still there protecting the image of an institution that is bent on sucking our money in Africa.

Most of the Chinese and Indians have moved their May intake program to Fall and this will affects slot for the fall intake and you are still debunking that truth. Na wa for you o.

Anyways, am sure you never hussle for money before so you won't know where it hurts. Next time, you let elders talk, Ok?

Check my application profile before u talk of a working system.Look before u leap. There is no transparency in the system. They are after our money. The took advantage of our economic situation. Why wouldn't d come up with a flexible modalities for Nigerians.you are selfish with ur taught Be guilded.there is panic already. Don't wait for anybody to create panic
Hopeful2019:
Hi @Chukwuemeka101,

Your observation is totally wrong. Canada doesn't use your application fee to pay immigration officers. Also, online classes doesn't affect visa applications. Canada is not Nigeria. In fact, it has nothing to do with it. Be guided!

Don't spend all your energy looking for fault in a working system, rather, spend your energy on how to get a successful application. Again, be guided. Don't discourage people and don't create unnecessary panic.

We will be alright las las! We won't give up!
