Amazing. You all should watch Nabeel Qureshi testimony. It's amazing! He was a very deep Muslim who was supernaturally touched by christ to see the truth |

Very violent hateful religion that probably stems from their quran. Violent and Hateful. Can Jesus actually transform their hearts...i know he has done it for many..but mehn, that shows the transformative power of the Holy spirt. Praise God |

Copied: @samuel Garcia quora First, any proposed “science” about anything about origins and the deep past cannot be science. If you remember the scientific method (which was created by a creationist Sir Francis Bacon, no less), it requires that for something to be deemed scientific, it must be reproducible and directly observed. You cannot reproduce or directly observe something either thousands or billions of years ago! Except. Through time travel. Why do I, as a Young Earth Creationist, reject evolution, but also flat earth, hollow earth, etc.? You can fly above in space to see the round earth. You can drill down inside to see the earth is not hollow. One can see atoms with an electron microscope. You cannot time travel to see evolution in action. There is no equivalent. And thus both evolution and creationism are *neither* science. They deal with past events. All we have is evidence after the fact, not evidence during the fact. Fossils? Either a result of slow deposit or the worldwide Flood. (Many fossil collections of entire herds of animals in one place require a massive upheaval or disaster) Layers in rock? Again, either a result of slow deposit or a worldwide flood. (Though this is actually can be experimental, shake up soil in water, and you can see layers similar to the Grand Canyon layers in real time, without waiting millions of years, thus lending that layers can be formed by rapid Flood) Starlight distances? Either billions of years of universal expansion or the stretching of heavens described in Psalms. Mutations and other genetic anomalies? Does not actually contradict creationist’s view of genetics. What we argue is not against change, but rather transition, ie singular cell to multicell, plant to animal, sea life to land life, reptile to bird, etc. There is no level of change that has been directly observed at those scales, just hypothesized. Stalagmite and stalactites? While said to form millions of years in caves, there are many examples where those formed in a few years as recorded. Ice cores? Either tens of thousands of years or more rapid than first thought. (Though a well-recounted story of a WW2 squadron was buried in ice…. in the layer where it was said to be which formed an apparent Ice Age ten thousand years ago. A rebuttal of it said that ice core forming was random and uneven. Well, then why are you using it to predict time?). Radiometric dating (and other forms of dating)? A lot of circular reasoning assumptions even inherent in the equations used. It requires one to know the amount of the original material in the past. Which again, requires time travel. Scientists will guess the original amount according to their assumptions, and an evolutionary assumption pervades academia. (A famous one was dating of newly formed rocks after the Saint Helen’s eruption was said to be millions of years until it was revealed to be newly formed.) It’s not the evidence, but the assumptions and philosophy of interpreting the evidence. When forensic science, which tries to recount events in just days or years before, itself sends many innocent people in prison, and yet somehow predicting events from thousands or more years ago and call it evolution (or rather, evolutionary philosophy) is more accurate. Somehow. As for Bible interpretation, the Bible makes it clear to interpret it literally. Jesus took creation literally in His talks. The Bible itself has instructions on how to interpret it and it is literally and precise. Even the Bible predicts that evolutionary philosophy will be dominant in the last days: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2 Peter 3:3–4 Evolution relies on the assumption of uniformatarianism. Uniformatarianism is the philosophy and idea that everything is going the same rate and doing the same thing. No jumps in rates. No huge disasters like the Flood. Mutation is slow. Everything is uniform. And since we don’t see jumps, slowness in change means billions of years. Of course, there are minor exceptions within the body of evolutionary work, but in the span of billions of years, they are minor exceptions. In the present, that may be true that mostly everything is uniform. But in the past, you can’t make that assumption, as you’ve never directly observed it. And yes, you can’t directly observe creation, either. That’s why it isn’t science. But you can’t call evolution science either. They are the same level. Which is why I term evolution to be a hypothesis supported by a huge apparatus of non-directly observed evidence. As a Young Earth Creationist, I believe in the approximate 6000 year old Earth as determined by the Bible. 1 Timothy 6:19-21 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen. |
alexnurreo:carbon dating is probabilistic. Scholars of the topic would tell you better. You just read without delving deep. Read the research and building blocks of dating mechanisms |
virago:if you know the major science and probabilistic nature of evolution and age dating. You'd know you might be the ignorant one. These things are tentative. No one can disprove with absolute certainty what the so called "religionist" claim. So if you aren't knowledgeable about the core details of the subject. Be quiet |
