Former Super Eagles defender Joseph Yobo met with African most decorated player, Samuel Eto’o, ahead of his testimonial game this month. Joseph Yobo, who won 100 caps for the Super Eagles and retired from international football after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil -will host a match to mark the feat.

His testimonial, tagged “The Joseph Yobo Centenary Game”, will be played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka International Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 27.

Since making his debut for Nigeria in 2001, Yobo went on to feature at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the continental competition in 2013.

Nigerians in Germany took to the streets over the weekend -to protest against the unlawful massacre of innocent civilians in Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu State by Fulani herdsmen. The Nigerian community in Germany also sympathized with the people of Enugu State of the great loss -as they urged the government to do something to prevent further attacks from the herdsmen.

Former Abia state governor -Orji Uzor Kalu, Akwa Ibom House of Assembly speaker -Barr. Onofiok Luke and others were among dignitaries who gathered for the funeral of late Dr Ime Sampson Umanah -yesterday in Akwa Ibom state.

Ime Umanah, a popular businessman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom state, died in a car accident in Owerri, the capital of Imo state last year.

According to reports, this policeman fell down from his motorcycle after experiencing an epileptic seizure at Yaba area of Lagos on Saturday (yesterday). The policemen broke his nose in the process of falling. The incident sent cold chills through the spines of people around -as they watched him lay helplessly. His current condition is yet to be ascertained.

His aged father who is physically challenged -was present at the funeral to pray for his dead son as depicted in the picture ....

After series of pleas from emergency authorities, the suicidal man who climbed on an electric pole at at Adebisi Ogunniyi Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos -in an attempt to kill himself today -has been rescued and of course tied up. According to online reports, he even tried to cut himself when being rescued and injured himself in the process. .

The troubled man who was on the pole for more than 7 hours -has been identified as Fredrick Gino from Cameroon and according to him -he doesn't know how he got to Nigeria... He has been taken to Eti-Osa primary health care centre at Ikate-Elegushi -where he's being treated by doctors....
