God bless this lady |
This is a real lady with focus. Instead of waiting for someone to foot her bills and take care of her, this 'strong' girl has decided to map out her future with her own hands. good for her. The lady who works as a cleaner at a cinema in Abuja -revealed that she is not deterred by what she experiences at her place of work... Hear her story below; I need to work for the next two years, so that I can afford to pay my fees for tertiary studies. I lost my dad at a tender age, my mom could only see me through secondary school. She asked me to go learn a trade after I graduated. But I have a dream... I want to be a lawyer, I always dream and imagine myself in that wig and gown, defending or prosecuting people. So I told my mom about it, she called my elder sister who lives here in Abuja and informed her of my decision. She pleaded with her to accommodate and get me a job, which my elder sister did a month latter. I am a cleaner in a cinema at the moment, I don't let the attitudes of customer get to me because I have a bigger picture of where I am going. My present cant deter me from my future, so I enjoy my job because its the key finance to my education tomorrow. Source; http://www.nationalhelm.net/2016/05/pretty-lady-who-works-as-cleaner-in.html

The Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi said plans were on-going for the re-establishment of a National Shipping Line. He described the absence of a national carrier as a mockery of the country’s status as the largest economic in Africa. He said this at a two-day maritime stakeholders' conference hosted by the Ministry of Transportation and its agencies, in Lagos on Monday. The Minister called for the re-examination of the implementation guidelines of the Cabotage Act, with the aim of enhancing indigenous participation in ship building and ship acquisition. On his part, former President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has called for the privatization of the maritime institutions in the country. Other dignitaries that were present at the conference are the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, Acting Managing Director of NIWA, Danladi Ibrahim and the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika.
