Edo Governorship Postponement

The Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, has stated that it will make fresh payments to 19,000 staff as a result of the postponement of the Edo State governorship election.

In his statement, He(Dazang) said INEC had already anticipated for the election, and only to adhere to the security agencies advised it to shift the poll the last stage of preparation.

He said.“We are calling back about 19,000 staff, we have to pay them again and we might consider retraining them ahead of election, so that they will remember some of the things that we have taught them. That is money, We have to pay them allowances for coming back to conduct the election".

“We might have to reprint one or two of the sensitive materials to reflect the new date. Thankfully, as of the time our attention was called to the advisory, we had not distributed some of the materials.”

He also stated that the development would not affect the conduct of the election in any way “The postponement of the election did not in any way change our preparedness for the election, neither has it changed our resolve to conduct freection,” he said.

We have received news that the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) of recent has launched an online job portal for a transparent recruitment procedure across the globe. The purpose for this online launching was to be transparent in its recruitment process.

According to the report from The Nigerian Stock Exchange which stated that the portal was meant “to attract top talent and optimize its recruitment process”, by also enhancing its recruitment capability, increasing turnaround time and providing a consumer-friendly candidate experience.
An employee of NSE which we could reach, said that the recruitment process will work in line with its values of “transparency, teamwork, integrity and professionalism (TTIP)”.

The NSE Recruitment Portal is designed to recruit graduate trainees, interns, entry-level and other experienced staff across about some 13 states of the federation and the nation’s capital.

The states to be recruited from includes Ogun, Bauchi, Edo, Oyo, Kwara, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Onitsha, Imo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Yola.

NUC Releases New list Of Unaccredited Courses - We have received information that the National University Commission has come out to release a list of unaccredited courses in some Nigeria Universities across the federation.

We saw this in the 2016 accreditation report of the commission recently and have decided to make it public. New list Of Unaccredited Courses By NUC


We received other information that these courses that were not accredited are all been offered by 37 out of the 143 Universities in Nigeria.
