What would a country be without adequate education? What kind of a people would Nigeria produce when her population has a more percentage of Illiterates over the literates ones? Do we ever get to think of these kinds of question? If we already no the answers and consequences of what is to come, then i think education should be made a top most priority for all. Be that as it may, we have come see how the various state owned universities and federal universities have been increasing their tuition fees, hostel accommodation fees, acceptance fees, etc. And one begin to wonder if the day has the plight of their people at heart? Because when you see the decisions of these semi god like governors on their citizenry, you begin to wonder if these governors ever where humans before they mounted the podium of the governor seat they are occupying.

I made a publication on POOR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS OF BUSINESS EDUCATION IN NIGERIA. You can go ahead and read it. very educative.

Sometime ago, while i gained admission into DELSU (Delta state university Abraka) i paid an acceptance fee of N3.500, and two years later it became N10,000. Now it’s a whopping sum of about N60,000. This increment is just for the period of 5 years. Ambrose Ali university Ekpoma did same thing and Anambra state university did same thing. Now the question in have been asking is this. Is the increment of these schools fees and other related activities like hostel fees, school fees etc a competition among various schools? Because what am seeing is the exact thing.

There are some issues that comes to mind. School acceptance fees was increased, tuition fees increased, accommodation fees increased etc, have the salaries of their parents increased? For those whose parents are civil servants, have the government increased salaries? Most of these civil servants are still owed salaries for about 18 months and you are busy increasing the tuition and school fees of their ward? What a shame. Because we still think that Nigeria is giant of Africa. Well that could be true only in size not in initiative.

Let me take a little moment to reveal to us some schools who have increased their tuition fees or acceptance fees, or accommodation fees within the last 5 years.

PoliticsLabour Tells El-rufai, You're Embarrassment To Public Office by chapatti(op): 8:40am On Mar 09, 2018
naijalatest - There are people who never feel an inch of being criticized in fact they enjoy been that way. And one of such is the Kaduna state governor el-Rufai. This time the Governor Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has lashed out openly at the organised labour in the country, which he said has destroyed the nation more than it has contributed to it. He never says anything without proof and when he says something, look critically well, there must be something to analyse. Mallam Nasir-El-Rufai Speaking, who made this known yesterday in Abuja at a ‘Governance Matters’ round table which was solely organised by the Development Alternative Incorporation, DAI. According to him, the excesses of the trade unions must be curtailed and checkmated if not they will wreck havoc on the emerging country. But could he be saying te truth? One time he was accused of destroying homes in Abuja then while he was the FCT Minister. But at the long run, he was justified. Let's read on and see what he meant.

Labour tells el-Rufai You're embarrassment to public office

Read >>> Gov Ikpeazu tasks South East states on Ease of Doing Business

He said, “Trade Unions have never served the country well. They have been selfish and everything is about their narrow and selfish interests. In general, in Nigeria, trade unions have been a danger to our progress and I think they should be curtailed. “The mistake we made as a country was placing trade unions in the Exclusive Legislative List. If the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has an issue with the Federal Government, then the state universities will go on strike too. In Kaduna, I warned the Kaduna State University, that if ‘you ever go on strike again because of somebody else, I will fire all of you.’ Advocates “very low” minimum wage “I think we need to do some things. First, take labour matters out of the Exclusive List because many of us are victims of agreements reached with ASUU by the Federal Government.

The states were never part of such agreements. Secondly, is the issue of minimum wage. Except we set a very low minimum wage, there will continue to be issues especially with states that do not have wide tax net. You cannot set the same minimum wage for Lagos and Jigawa. Also, we must apply the labour laws strictly. No work, no pay, because there has to be a trade dispute before anything strike. That is what the law says. “I think the health unions have been the most irresponsible because only an irresponsible doctor will abandon his patients even after swearing to the Hippocratic Oath. I think Nigerian doctors are the only ones on the planet that go on strike. “We have submitted our report on true federalism and it will be taken to the National Assembly. We hope the National Assembly will stop dealing with inanities and deal with the real issues,” he said. The governor also accused some past governors of Yobe and Borno states of being responsible for the emergence of the Boko Haram sect due to their negligence of the education sector. “We tended to have ignored this problem (of out of school children) but this problem, when ignored, gave us Boko Haram.

If you look at education statistics in Yobe and Borno in 2003 and 2004, you will reasonably predict that Boko Haram would happen within a decade. So, this is a huge problem”.

Now let's categorically analyse this. Has he said anything out of place? Did he say anything that goes contrary to what is onground? Ofcoure if you actually look at the constant strike being embarked by ASSU, you begin to see political play in it. There is an issue with federal universities and the federal schools, it affects the states schools. Why and i ask again why? If actually the various past governors of yobe state and borno state had adressed the issues of child basic education, there would never would have been boko haram.
Now let's see what the reaction of Labour Union.

The Nigeria Labour Union did not take it a gentle man's way at all after publicly tagging the governor as an embarrassment to public office in Nigeria. They went further to describe him as anti-people and a chameleon. Hmmm...... Well, if it was what he just said that have made him a chameleon, we will find out. Just read on.

According to the General Secretary of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, who said that the Congress was not caught surprised by what were credited to the Kaduna state governor because he had been an anti-labour person with penchant for breaking the labour laws of the land from his days as a minster of FCT. He Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson said: “The country has a better moral standing than the likes of el-Rufai who has demonstrated that he is not fit to hold public office or political position.

He is an embarrassment to public office in Nigeria. He speaks out of both sides of the mouth. He always changes position for his personal aggrandizement. This is the same el-Rufai who once gate-crashed into one of NLC’s protests and pleaded to have NLC apron to be part of the protest.”
Woah. Is this true? Well, one should not be surprised despite because we have come to understand that in politics, friends are not permanent but interests are. El-rufai just demonstrated that. Same union he is blasting now, was very instrumental in his coming to power as governor.

in a Similar vein, the President of United Labour Congress of Nigeria, ULC, Joe Ajaero, who also made his contribution known to the press when he said: “Malla El-rufai is anti-progress, anti-people and does not see any good in something progressive. If el-Rufai praises anybody, know that such a person is about to die. He prefers money to human beings as he has demonstrated in Kaduna. We are not surprised at his views. We want to know if he is speaking for the APC government or for himself. His comments are challenges to labour movement. “If he is speaking about the civil servants in the state, he can say whatever he likes. But he cannot generalize, if he does, we will take him on. We will make him to eat his words. People like him have their places in history. His will not be different. He is who is he is. Mr Ajaero went further to say that He could not have said anything different. He has a history of inflicting pains on the masses. He did so when he was the FCT minister and he is presently exhibiting same in Kaduna as governor.”

I think that at this time, we should be mindful of words. Yes, because for what the governors have said, there might be fight back from the union just to show off how powerful they could and trust me, the governor won't loose sleep over it. The poor masses on the street will be the ones to suffer for it. If the union have read the lines of his comments on their activities with an objective view, then they too will realise that he speaks the truth. If Mr el-elrufai too have understood what the union stand for, he would not have opted for then total removal of the Labour union from the executive legislators list.

For those who must have chosen music as a career and are willing to go the extra mile in making it a reality should be the ones reading this article. Some time ago, many never saw the MTN PROJECT FAME AUDITION 2018 as being anything but a mirage. But today thousands have become more and more interested in making it through the ranks and eventually winning it. Most persons who have actually won the previous editions do not have four heads. Nope. They all started as dreamers and today it has become a reality to them and that is one thing i must advise whoever wants to embark on this.

Many persons have asked by via mail if the MTN PROJECT FAME AUDITION 2018 is out? Of course i will be talking exclusive on that and at the same time i will be sharing more light on how we can become as successful as we wish to be.

Now it's a whopping sum of about N60,000.

To what end will this article be beneficial to the ordinary business man? Well, as you read on, you will see what am talking about. As we are about to get started, there are very key important factors to analyze and these are BUSINESS and EDUCATION. If you are ready, am ready. Let’s shoot.

BUSINESS – Many persons have called this various names. For example, to some, business is an enterprise and to some it is a firm. But whatever name it is called, we mean same thing. A business as it where, is an organization that has the sole responsibility of engaging in the art or trade of goods and rendering of services to customers. In other words, when we say “business” we are talking about the art of trading goods and services that involves a buyer and a seller. For the capitalist, business is all about making more and more profits to increase wealth of the very owners of the said business. Well, we all know that business can be state owned or privately owned.

And i tell you, when it is owned by these two different entities, their modus operandi may be the same but trust me their motives are usually different. When a business is owned by more than a person, then it is usually called a company but many persons have theorized the fact that the term company has a more precise meaning than just being a company. When we talk about business, we are talking about being busy either as an individual or an organization or a society being commercially involved in a profitable work.

Research has taught us that the term business has different usages depending on the particular scope you are seeing it from. For example, the singular usage which means a particular organization or entity, then the generalized one which refers to a particular business market sector etc. Well, one cannot say that there is a generalized or a consensus definition of the term “Business” Which means that the definition of business is a matter of debate and complexity of meaning.

In as much as we tend to blame either the curriculum or the those nonprofessionals who have been vested with the sole responsibility to handle the curriculum activities in the nation for the high decadence of the subject matter, it will be of wisdom to re-evaluate the various materials that have been employed by our tutors and also the various methods as it where used by educators to prepare the business education students for the work that lies ahead in his place of work.

Like i have often said, the business man on the street is also a student in the industry. The whole truth is this. Going to school ton learn a particular subject matter does not mean that you are already it nope. You become it when you graduate and practice it. And when you practice, it is very important for you to note that your success depends on your previous learning experience. Now we have done lots of research and discovered that the United states of America leads the trend in this subject matter regarding post secondary school education. Many have already had a conviction that this position may never change. But that’s a lie because there are striving countries like china, south Korea Canada etc.

The subject of money as it where is not taught in our schools. In fact, our school curriculum does not allow for it and for me, it is a very wrong way to train our wards. And again our parents have not on their own help matters too. One thing comes to mind and it is this. What exactly do you think when the poor and the rich teach their children about money? When the rich dad teach their children about prosperity is quite different from what the poor dad teach their children. Because the poor dad will teach their children ton play safe when it comes to money making and the rich dad will teach their children how to learn how to manage risk. Another difference is that the poor dad will teach their wards how to write a good resume while the rich dad will teach his wards how to write a very good and strong business proposals and financial plan that could and would end up creating jobs.

PoliticsReligion As It Affects Nigeria Politics by chapatti(op): 12:48am On Feb 04, 2018
When you get to Saudi Arabia, what unites then as a Nation? When you get to Iran, what unites them as a Nation? When you get to Israel, what unites them as a Nation? When you get to Australia, what unites them as a Nation? What about our Nation Nigeria, what have been our unifying factor? In Saudi Arabia, religion unites them. In Iran, same thing (Islam). In Australia we talk about Christianity (Religion) in Israel religion too (Judaism). But in Nigeria, what have been our unifying factor? GREED. I repeat GREED GREED AND GREED.
It has become of no surprise that Religion has taken a deep root position of importance in Nigerian politics. Religion such as Christianity, Islam and African Traditional Religion are the ones found in the country. It so clear that these various religions are very much intertwined with political activities in the country and as a result, it has shaped the political landscape of the Nation.

But as it has come to those who holds political offices have misused religion as a tool to get to power while the religious leaders on their own are mishandling it to get personal gain from those who hold public office. Permit me to say that religion as it where has been negatively used here in Nigerian regarding politics since independence.

As a child growing up, i never saw Nigeria as a society with a people who shares a common interest rather i have always seen Nigeria as a mere geographical expression. What more can we say about a nation where religion have been the norms for supporting a particular candidate irrespective of the person's incapability. In Nigeria, federal elections are won based on the religion who has more population. Yeah. The only reason Muhammadu Buhari won the last presidential election was because, the Christians as it where betrayed their own because they where simply tired of PDP. If not, the Nation would have been ruled by an christian. You, the fact that one is a muslim or claims to be born again does not make such a one a valid aspirant. My point is that, Nigeria as a Nation has a lot to learn as far politics is concerned.

PoliticsThe Nigeria Political Culture. A Way Forward by chapatti(op): 12:49am On Feb 03, 2018
The Nigeria political culture over the decades have not changed that much. In fact right from independence, much have not been changed regarding how politics are perceived. Many questions come to mind when you look critically into the Nigeria political landscape.

Most of the prominent names we have come to know in the political affairs of the Nation from independence are still very much around our politics today. For example, the likes Shehu shagari, Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku Abubarka etc are still very much involved in Nigeria politics of today as they did during the military era and civilian era of the 1980s. Sometimes we begin to wonder, if there are no other persons who are quite capable handling various political positions apart from these political bigwigs? There is something that have become so so bizarre that one begin to ask questions that rests on morality. For example, Most of the those political warlords who came into power via rigging machines of PDP now in a APA are everywhere singing the drums of CHANGE. I am still asking them what moral right they have to do such? We have seen exactly how they have put on the white rob of change because they now belong to a new political party. Let me give a few example of names.... The likes of Atiku Abubarka a former VP suddenly have forgetting how exactly he was rigged into the presidency. Later on he was spotted dancing with the APC after falling out the same party that helped him to fame. But after he was defeated in the primaries prior to the 2015 presidential election, he would jump back to the same party (PDP) which he has criticized so much after he was defeated by Goodluck Jonathan.

Now my question still stands.. What moral right do men like these have to preach CHANGE? Well, let me be categorically clear here that my support for any political aspirant is beyound any political affiliation but a moral duty i owe myself and my generations unborn.

Now lets dive into this a bit deeper. How many times have we seen in developed Nations where there is cross carpeting among political faithfuls. In Nigeria for example, the winner takes it all. Whenever a party loses an election at the Top, there was always cross carpeting among faithfuls because to these ones, their personal interest have been placed above National Interest. This has been the exact reason why we have found ourselves in this era of decadeness. Is there a way out? Now we are seeing lots of political maneuvering going on because of the upcoming presidential elections.

PoliticsHow APC Was Formed. The Road To Opposition Merger by chapatti(op): 12:28am On Feb 03, 2018
As at 1999, PDP was by far the biggest party in Nigeria and was also the biggest party in Africa. In fact, apart from winning the 1999 presidential election in Nigeria, it also won almost every elections that followed same year. Now lets take some statistics of the outcome of the 1999 elections.
Out of the 306 seats of the house of representatives, PDP won 241 seats then of the 109 senatorial seats, it won 71 seats that year, and won 21 governors seats of the 36 seats available. With, this stats, one could agree that there was no way on earth to unseat a party as big as this not even in a country where the centre controls the components.

But these stats would change as time went on. For example in 2011, the number of seats they won in the various houses have reduced both in the upper chamber of the house of assemblies and lower house including the gubernatorial seats.
For example in 2011 they won 208 seats in the house of representatives, 71 seats in the upper chamber and 23 gubernatorial seats. With this, they still had about 60 percent of the entire political offices in the country. It was at this point, everyone who wanted to via for any political position against this mammoth party either joins them or there must be a kind of formidable coalition to unsurp this party who has a grounded structure all over the country. But there was a question to be answered and it was looking at the stage the Nigeria political system was, will it be possible to make such an idea work?

This was not yhe first time we have seen mergers in this country rioght from the first repulblic till the last one was formd which actually unseated PDP. For me, there was no seriouse attempts to merge parties during the 1999 elections, 2003 elections etc because many factors such as personal interests where playing cards. For example, when Buhari's CPC and Tinubu's AC had met to merge, it all ended in a fluid case because the both parties could not agree on some key issues. For example, Tinubu refused to step Ribadu down who wanted to be president and Buharis would never step down too. Another issue was the position of the VP. Buhari had Pastor Tunde Bakare who was a CPC party member but Tinubu wanted to either be the VP to Buhari as at that time or better still he would bring the VP from his own end.

So when the two party could not agree on these key issues, the merger could not work. According to Pat Utomi the reasons the merging parties could not come to a compromise was because some of the personalities involved did not want to let go off their own interest by placing it above national interest.
Anyways, it wont be a merger if CPC had brought in Buhari and also brought in His running mate Pastor Tunde Bakare if it was so, then what was the merger for? asked by Bisi Akande. This was in fact the very reason why the merger never worked but as time went on with El Rufai intervening with some sort of memo, there was now a level ground ground to play.

As at this time, it was just ACN and CPC that where involved in the merger. But as time went on, a faction of APGA led by Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and ANPP joined in the merger. Even though the marriage was going smoothly, there was also some important issues that was still lingering. And it was the issue of who will be the running mate to General Buhari. It was gathered that Dantoro the Emir Borgo sugessted that Tinubu be the running mate to Buhari. Yes it was to be but there was a problem. Nigeria was a circular Nation and feilding a muslim/muslim cannot work. Though General Buhari had wanted it that way same with Tinubu but some party faithfuls who knew what that will cause as they knew Nigerians will suspect a muslim takeover.

Now there was a situation, will Tinubu accept to step down or not? Tinubu a former Lagos State military governor and a civilian governor, was a force to be reckoned with as far as the entire South-Westv was concerned so care must be taken while going about this. Well, after a meetng between Buhari and Rinubu in Asokoro in Abuja the residence of the then military head of state, Tinubu decided to step down and allow for a christian to be the running mate of Buhari. Though theb meeting was never a gentle man's meeting because Tinubu had accused Buhari of bending to presure from party faithfuls who had used religion as an excuse.

Well, if a muslim/muslim ticket was gonna go well with APC, that we didnt know but for sure, they would have lost that election because Nigeria as it where, is a sensitive country when it comes to relious matters.
As things working well fpr APC, PDP where on their having issues. Rotimi Amaechi have decamped to APC from PDP, some other 5 governors from the North had done same thing. As at this point, only rigging from PDP as been incubent would have been the onkly way to make PDP win that election. Well, Nigerians needed change and trust me, they where ready to go with anyone who saw from their eyes. Buhari with the slogan CHANGE, was a all Nigerians needed.

Yesterday, the President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari, played host to some All Progressives Congress, APC, party governors and leaders in London where he passed a message through the Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. According to the message, the president was quoted as laughing and unperturbed over the negative comments about him back here in Nigeria.

Femi Adesina - Why Buhari Did Not Address Nigerians From London

His defence for the ailing president regarding the reason the president have not addressed the Nation was made known during a phone conversation with Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Mr Femi told Nigerians that they should by now have understood the person of president Buhari. That he Buhari not addressing them directly ishis personal style.

Accodin to Mr. Adesina, President Buhari prefers to do things with Nigerians this way.

“It is a matter of personal style, there is no style that you can call ‘the’ style. The style of our President is what you have seen on display and by now two years after he came, I am sure that we should understand him.

“We should know the kind of person he is, we should know how he prefers to do things and that is how the President is.

“That just tells you that that is the way our President is, we elected him willingly and we have seen that this is the way he is.”

Nigerians can vividly remember that the President have been out of the country for a medical follow-up in London for over 60 days since he left in May 7.

ever Since he left the country, though the economy have seen tremendous growth, but nobody has been able to give an accurate account of what the President is suffering from. Rather thePresidency has on several occasions said that President Buhari is doing just fine and will soon be back. Soon be back and its over 60 days now.

Aisha Buhari the wife of president Buhari had recently told Nigerians in an ironical words that Buhari will soon be back and that when he comes back, the Hyenas and the Jackals will be in for hot soup for trying to usurp the majestic government of the Lion who is away.

The Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose who is a constant critic of this regime also have maintained that the President was incapacitated.

Some two weeks ago, the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo did travel unannounced to London to meet with Buhari and when he came back, he told Nigerians that Mr President recuperating fast and also that the president was in high spirits.

Again, Nigerians lashed at that, saying the President ought to address Nigerians even if it is through a video recording so Nigerians will believe that he is doing fine.

His address to Nigerians through an audio recording in Hausa Language, was seen by many as sectional.

Then yesterday been the 23rd July, 2017, President Buhari this time spoke to Nigerians, but not through an audio or video recording but through the Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha. This time, he told Nigerians that all the negative comments about him were all lies.

Eating Fish Could Cure Arthritis – Eaters Report Less Arthritis Pain
A new report from a health practitioner reveals that for those Eating fish at least twice a week may significantly reduce the effect, pain and swelling which have been associated with rheumatoid arthritis this is according to new research study. We it is no news that many researches have been done on the consumption of fish and these studies have shown a beneficial effect of fish oil supplements on rheumatoid arthritis symptoms, but at another study, it has also revealed that less is known about the value of eating fish containing omega-3, the researchers said.

According to the study research Author Dr. Sara Tedeschi “We wanted to investigate whether eating fish as a whole food would have a similar kind of effect as the omega 3 fatty acid supplements,” Dr. Sara Tedeschi is an associate physician of rheumatology, immunology and allergy at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, United States.

Well this findings were reported in June 21 in Arthritis Care & Research. Generally, the amount of omega 3 fatty acids in fish which is far lower than the doses that were given in the trials, she said. To this effect, Even so, as the 176 study participants increased the amount of fish they ate weekly, their disease activity score lowered, the observational study found.
According to the research, the rheumatoid arthritis, the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the joints, creating swelling and pain. It can also affect body systems, such as the cardiovascular or respiratory systems.
All Participants who were in attendance were enrolled in a study to investigate the risk factors for heart disease in rheumatoid arthritis patients. The study researchers conducted thorough secondary study from that data, analyzing results of a food frequency questionnaire that assessed patients’ diet over the past year. Atlas the Consumption of fish as it where was counted if it was cooked, broiled, steamed, or baked — or raw, including sashimi and sushi. Well for the Fried fish, shellfish and fish in mixed dishes, such as stir-fries, were actually not included according to the research. Then for the Frequency of the consumption, it was categorized as: never or less than once a month; once a month to less than once a week; once a week; and two or more times a week.
It was gathered that Almost 20 percent of participants ate fish less than once a month or never at all, then about c18 percent consumed fish more than twice a week. Then the findings was that those frequent fish eaters reported less pain and swelling compared to those who ate fish less than once a month, the study found.
Well the Researchers for the now just can’t prove that the fish was responsible for the improvements and fight against the disease in question. And finally theorized that those who regularly eat fish could have a healthier lifestyle overall, which should be contributing to their lower disease activity score.
Another research recently conducted from epidemiologists at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, United States, suggest that long-term, high intake of vegetable protein from such foods as whole grains, soy and tofu, may protect women from early menopause and could prolong reproductive function.
It was researched that while those Consuming enriched pasta, dark bread and cold cereal were especially associated with lower risk, and they did not observe any similar relation to eating animal sources of protein.
The author also noted that an Early menopause, the cessation of ovarian function before age 45, affects about 10 percent of women and is associated with higher risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and early cognitive decline.
