JAMB Official Admission Guideline 2016/2017 – This is to notify all those who are currently seeking for admission that The official guideline to be used for 2016/2017 admission into Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria has been released. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB released the official admission guideline to guide institutions and to also clear air on the rumors already making rounds.

In subsequent report we find out that several media outlets reported that a point system will be used for 2016/2017 admission into tertiary institutions. The management of JAMB has debunked this, claiming that the point system was just demonstration of how some schools conducted admission in the past. This is to be discontinued to follow the admission guidelines recognized by law.

The 2016/2017 admission into Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges in Nigeria purely on the three existing admission pillars. These are merit, catchment area (see list of Universities and their catchment areas) and educationally less developed states. The admission process will follow the following steps;

Presentation of the list of candidates who qualify for screening into individual institution based on the stipulated guidelines by JAMB (find hereby enclosed);
Screening should not demand for another test in any form either written, oral or electronic;
Candidates are to present Their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results/Advanced Level (AL) results for verification and clearing purposes;
WAEC, NECO, NABTEB results or equivalent are acceptable as maltriculation requirements;
Each candidate is expected to have a minimum of five (5) credits at SSCE including English, Mathematics

The popular Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele, was born on August 24, 1976 in ikorodu, Lagos state, Nigeria. She is the second of three children (two sisters and one brother). Her mother is a medical doctor while her father is a retired school principal.



Education

Funke Akindele obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication from the former Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and got a Law degree from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba.[6]
