No, it's not required. I had my medicals today and they only asked if I have been vaccinated and if I had the vaccine card. I replied I have been vaccinated but didn't have the card with me. If you want to take it along, no wahala.
Thank you sir.

Guys please anyone who did upfront medical, do you get the results same day? Is it still advisable to do upfront or submit application without it and wait for IRCC request? TIA

according to statistics Canada up to 50% of DLI institutions in Canada are located in the province of Ontario.
Meaning almost 50% of international graduate students are heading to Ontario.
On the other hand Ontario is the most developed province in Canada meaning they have many developed cities in one province. So they have more capacity to take in more students than PEI or SAS.
For sure Ontario will get less students going forward but will still have more students in general because they have more schools.
That's quite insightful, Thanks for your response. Hopefully in the next few weeks there should be a procedure in place.

Experts in the house please correct me if I am wrong.
For the Attestation letter, does it mean that provinces with historical less number of international student enrollment like saskatchewan, New Brunswick will now have a larger cap and will be able to issue more Attestation letters compared to provinces like British columbia or Ontario?

From my observation and little experience, Ircc use time stamp of the day you submitted to evaluate your application. So you don't need to be worried about the current rate. If not, many people that submitted before the January deadline will also be worried for the new POF for living expenses

Hello everyone, it's nice to come across this thread. I remember around 2916/17 I used to read on thread like this while I was in Nigeria hoping to find myself in the US someday but exactly end of 2017 I got in with my hubby. Anyway to those who still contemplating of coming to US do not give up your dream although US is very hard to get in now but some people are still coming in. US is a land of opportunities with less cost of living compare to Canada and UK although it depends on the State you are. If you are a new immigrant midwest states are the best for you(Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, part of Illinois,
Missouri etc) interm of settling in on time because the cost of living is cheaper and a lot of job opportunities for new Comer although the cold is much during the winter. I would not advise new comers with no legal status to stay in Atlanta, Texas, California, Florida etc Atlanta Georgia is out of the pictures because the state pays lower and some bills are higher eg Auto insurance is ×3 of that of Indiana. Texas is not expensive but no immigrants job(if you understand what I mean) California is generally expensive. We landed in Indiana which really helped us to get settled on time but we chose to explore and we moved to Atlanta but that was a mistake and we are planning to relocate back to Indiana.

I am here to give one or two input when it comes to issues here in the US.
California has to be the most friendliest and most welcoming state for new immigrants to settle in. Expensive no doubt but the opportunities are there regardless of status. AB60 for drivers license, Ab540 for in state tuition, etc.

I don't know y u guys can't view this issue well. Liverpool were up 3 goals to nil. Mane scored, Bobby scored. Pls what is bad if Salah register his own goal? Besides it was Salah that gave the assist for bobby's goal. Mane is the selfish one here. If Liverpool hadn't scored anything at all, then its a different case. Abeg na Mane mess up. The guy that said Salah has the least work rate doesn't watch ball. A player that took the ball from our half all the way to arsenals goal has the least work rate?
Firmino's goal wasn't actually an intentional assist from Salah. If you look at the reply again you will see Salah tried to take on all the defenders and he had an awful touch and the ball rolled nicely to firmino to tuck it away. Assist ke.

This was exactly my worry. I already purchased the phone before discovering it looked different from whats on the gionee official site, but so far the phone has been working really well, camera and battery is superb as advertised. I feel this P7 with 4000 mah battery is a different variant made for countries like Nigeria.

Exactly , even the family petition takes a while . I like the federal skilled program that Canada has . I think people should take adavantage of it while it still lasts. If anyone thinks they can home here illegally today , I really pity them. One should not be deceived by the uncle or friend that has been living here illegally for 20 years. Things have gotten more strict.
Not trying to condone illegal immigration but the US has always been and its still the most lenient and friendly country when it comes to surviving even if a person is undocumented.. An illegal can never get the kind of hope and life in other strict countries in Europe or In Asia. The unofficial rule of thumb for survival for those living in the states illegally has always been "stay out of crime and go about your business and nobody will trouble you" Suprisingly a large percentage of those who are now legal were once "illegal" I dont think any other country in the World has that kind of pathway compared to the US.. And talking about stopping family chain immigration. Isnt it the same chain migration that brought trumps wife and her family(who recently became citizens) ? Dont think they are stopping family based immigration anytime soon.

Green card residents can fly and do in the USA.

I have received an invitation to work with one of US regional's airlines as a captain, that was not something that US airline used to do, but nowadays because of the shortage they are sponsoring the visa processes for some cases
I have flown the Boeing 737-300 to 737-800 for at least 21 years (about 15,000 hrs on the type) and I have about 3,200 hrs on Twin Otter
Believe it or not, the salary that has been suggested by the US-based airline is not even half of what I get in the middle east, get your self a work in south-east Asia or middle east and stay away from China.

I see. So you'd most likely come here as an Aussie on an E3 visa ?

I bet any regional would be quite happy to get you. If you have no FAA Part 121 experience, you'd have to knock out 1,000 hours of it before you could be employed as a captain:

I never said 10 years. I said 5 years -10 years.

For a green card holder that just arrived the United States for about a Month ago and wants to become a Pilot can you please tell me how he is going to pass an FBI Background check since he just arrived the United States.

This is just similar to applying for a Credit Card without a Credit History.

The usual response from the Credit Bureau is denial due to insufficient credit history.

Maybe if you can specifically tell me anyone (non citizen with a green card) who is a pilot for the major airlines ( American Airlines, Delta Airlines & United Airlines) then your argument can be considered valid.
Further more, Flight schools are also part of the aviation industry, and many of these schools have alot of non US citizens whom are eventually hired as paid flight instructors; Carrying out pilot duties, They haven't been in the US for five years. Some only months, and they are able to work as pilot in command for a small airfract.

Hi.. I dont think you will see any green card holder working as a pilot in any of the big three..
Green card holders are most likely to work for a regional and then flow through to the majors. Usually they are looking at 6 to 10 yrs flying for a regional. Enough time to apply for citizenship. So by the time they flow through to the majors they are already citizens.. Well i still think a green card holder that is a qualified and certificated pilot will not be denied a Job to fly in the US regardless of how long he/she has been living in the US.

Let's just assume that the 5 year - 10 year Background Check requirement is waived and one of the new hires end up crashing an air plane into a tall rise building killing thousands of people again who do you think would be held responsible?

I don't think the Background Check should be waived since it has worked great since 9/11.

The last thing we need is someone from oversea trying to cause harm to the American People.

Remember it only takes just one person...s
I see your point, I still think as long as you dont have any criminal records and your DMV record is good, They wont deny you a Job because you haven't been in the US for 10years lol. A green card holder has the right to work anywhere except those jobs that requires top security clearance, NASA, Officer jobs etc.. A Green card holder who wants to be a pilot will still be subjected to the regular Criminal and driving background check, have the class 1 medical and hold the required certificates and minimum number of flight hours... Can you specifically tell me anyone (non citizen with a gren card) that has been denied a Job in the aviation industry because he/she hasnt been in the US for 10 years?

You have to pass a Comprehensive 5 year - 10 year Background Check conducted by the TSA in conjunction with the FBI inorder to work in the airport.

Also any Criminal offense other than a Misdemeanor automatically disqualifies you from obtaining the Job.

So most Nigerians who have resided in the United States for less than 5 years might not be able to pass the Comprehensive Background Check.

I recently applied to work as a TSA Agent in Miami International Airport & as a Passenger Service Agent at Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

As of now I'm still waiting for my Background Check results to come out.

Both jobs pay very well.

TSA Agents make around $16.67/hr While Passenger Service Agents make around $13.98/hr
Wow, I am just now seeing this here.. But dont you think the 5-10yr background check will be waved since they havent been in the US that long? As long as they have the right to work legally, they should be fine? And the background check will likely span the entire history of the immigrant in the US. Even if its less than 2yrs.
