Eligibility started between 23th-24th of August 2022. After the waiting period, I receive a mail from IRCC today to log into my portal. My application was refused. I felt so sad at first, but what I don't have control over will I kill myself?. I am even greatful to God because I waited for 16 weeks before I got the refusal. What if I had waited for 10 months and I still get refused? I cannot fight IRCC now. For everyone that is expecting ppr may God answer your prayers. For those that were refused may God grant you your PPR on your next attempt.

My notes are not even out yet to see the cause of refusal. I mailed them they said something about ITA delaying them. I am considering finishing up my remaining 3 semesters here. Maybe this time next year, i will now do Express entry or still study. I still need time to think. I no dey rush reapply oh… the time I wasted waiting since April, i suppose don run 2 semesters remaining 1

Someone got her admission revoked due to delay in visa approval but got her study permit approved 3 days later. Please what’s the best thing to do at this moment? Can she reapply for January admission? The school has not yet refunded the part payment she made.

3 days is not a long time since it was revoked. I think she can still plead with them. She should send proof of her visa approval to the school. I hope this works

I have been a silent reader who's been following this thread for a a while now. I seek to post this here because when I was on the look out for more information on those who went for Sputum test @ IoM, I couldn't find any here. Below is my timeline for my Canadian Study Permit application.

30-Apr Submitted Application
18-May Did Biometrics
13-Jun Did Upfront Medicals
14-Jun Sputum Test
16-Jun Received request from IRCC for medicals
19-Aug Contacted IoM for results of Sputum test
23-Aug IoM informed me to come for final X-Ray on Sept 13
13-Sep Went for final X-Ray examination
22-Sep Final medical results including X-Ray was sent to IRCC
27-Sep PPR request

For those undergoing Sputum Test, I advise that you reach out to IoM 11 weeks after your Sputum test requesting for your Sputum Test results (if it hasn't been sent) & when you should come for the final X-Ray.

Academics goals may not have been addressed properly why did choose this program also in terms of skiill to acquire from proposed study in canada why canada is better than country of origin, benefits to the company as per going to canada to study as a transfer student and also taking the country of origin into consideration..what benefits to the country..

While obtaining blief classes..The possibility of this application to be approved starting as a freshman is there..however VO has taken records of the previous application..
The job description salary may not have matched qualifications with the above the VO may found reason to think that the applicant is not a genuine student

I am even considering if i will just finish my remaining 3 semesters here. The time i used to wait for IRCC,
2 semesters would have been almost completed. And we all know Nigeria lacks security plus I would still have to come back seff

Yes dear, it’s a family company. Just took brief security classes and then applied as a transfer student cos I already started here. Everything was addressed. So till my notes, if it was academic progression, they would have stated it in the refuse letter but lemme Wait for my notes

Don’t give up, the pressure on visa officers right now will allow them refuse applications that ought to be approved. As you said wait for your notes, settle down and decide what you want but don’t quit. You wanted this and you wished for it so don’t quit.

1. You have no choice than to defer, preferably to Fall (Sept) 2023 - This gives you more time for your application to be processed.
2. If your status as a divorcee was documented, then you have to provide the documents otherwise you might be asked to get consent letter from the father of your daughter.
3. You can work around this if you have saved all your funds by the time you are printing your statement, however, to prove, you have to state what you do for a living and the reason why you were changing to USD- obvious reason will be to keep its value over time.

Even as a divorcee, if they have shared custody… she will need his consent still. Except she has sole custody of the child, then she will show the notarized document

I read here that you are going to MUN. Criminology in MUN is a certificate program offers in undergraduate school. The course is 21 credit hrs which is not up to 2 semesters. The fess is 20k. Please correct me if i am wrong

Yes dear, although you are wrong in some places. My fees is 11k which is what is on my LOA not 20k. I think 20k is for UG taking effect from Fall… Mine is Spring… plus the deposit has been made so you can calculate only a year fee. Plus it’s not Certificate program… I’m a transfer student. I have just 2years courses to complete. All these were clearly stated too. Plus with my previous study plus work experience… i went for the best option because that’s my career path

To me, that statement was a simple "INDIFFERENT" response.
simply means, you can retort based on her profile reveal and the generic inference of POF (economic and financial ties) which should have enough weight to give her a pass.

There was no ill intent percieved putting it in & out of context. In my own opinion that is.

I remember seeing the story of a guy that was refused because the VO thought the level of education he was going for was lower than what he currently had and they were wrong.

He had to get docs from he school and all that to prove. So till the notes come sha.

Were you responding to the post you quoted? I am shocked at your disgust with her, because i dont see the phrase in that whole paragraph that irked you this much.

She literally opened her profile, which I surmise she was keeping until her notes come out before she can make some sense out of it, but your kinda took it personally to feel she seems entitled because she presumed her application was water tights given her ecomonic situation is fairly stable.

Please we should try and be open minded here and not raise dislike simply because someone in naija who allegedly is enjoying the milk & honey of the land wants to jump ship. Most times, these decisions aren't about going to look for greener pastures (money issues) out there.

I know she’s happy and that’s Okay too.
At least someone understands me. It’s not easy to talk about this.. this is the reason people die of depression in this country because Nigerians feel they are entitled to your best moods anytime they need you to relate. Notes I ordered August is yet to arrive. I have not even placed another one based on this refusal.
I mentioned my home ties and it’s a problem to her. She’s too quick to talk about attitude but hers isn’t any better… she should rejoice and mock my refusal… i am waiting to congratulate her.
