The speed of a car, whether it's manual or automatic, primarily depends on the vehicle's engine, transmission, and other technical specifications, rather than the type of transmission itself. In other words, there is no inherent difference in speed between manual and automatic cars.

That character AKPAN was the guy that interested me the most. Whether you use a clutch or use paddle shifters or even buttons you have to do the gear-shift yourself and not leave it to be controlled by a TCM/PCM. I might slightly agree even if you say they were semi-automatic 'cos that term to me doesn't even make sense with the process.

Stop shifting the post oga. This argument was btw Automatic Vs Manual transmission, all of a sudden we are now talking of semi automatic/paddle shifters how does this even compare?? The same paddle shifters are also Automatic transmissions so there u have it.

No, the F1 cars are not automatic. The current generation of cars use sequential manual gearboxes which are controlled using paddle-shifters behind the steering

Are paddle shifters manual transmission? Does the driver clutch down to change gears F1 cars now use either paddle shifters or even buttons and this makes their transmission automated

Again u LIE!!! U said in your previous post that Mitsubishi Engines arent stong" (the argument isn't about SUV or sedan cars) and I stand on the premise that's absolutely false as I have first hand experience with a Mitsubishi vehicle that served me over 10yrs.
I can authoritatively tell u that Mitsubishi is equally as good as a Toyota Engine.
It all boils down to preference of the driver/owner. (They are both Japanese products)

Manual transmission only gives the driver a more exciting driving experience and more control in determining when and when to downshift or upshift gears.

Ask yourself why formula 1 cars are manual-transmission…there you have your answer! In a competition where the number one need is the need for speed manual transmission rules supreme!

F1 cars no longer use manual transmission like before its now automated.

Automatic are electronically contok and glitches happend. Their upshift and downshift times varies in different conditions.

Sometimes it won't kick down at the exact same point.

Manual car allows a driver to push to the very limit of the car. So manual I'll always be 1/10 of a second quicker both in acceleration and top speed.

If you have two cars , same model and same spec and one is manual and the other automatic, the manual will trip it both on paper and real test by a skilled driver.

How fast, speed or acceleration is not based on transmission.
A manual can be faster than automatic and vice versa. It depends on so many other factors.

Nah trust me I know what I am saying. We have a similar vehicle that was purchased tokunbo. The car consumes fuel more than the Toyotas or Peugeot. No one like driving it at all. Always parked. Has been taken to mechanic, things have been replaced still fuel economy is poor.

Maybe it's V6, or has no catalyst converter

Not true how can a 4plug engine have poor fuel economy?? Except it has engine/electrical/electronic issues,its fuel economy is as good as Toyota or Honda

Mitsubishi, Mazda their Engine don't last long.

LIES LIES LIES... I used a Mitsubishi Pajero for over 10yrs and I can tell u its equally as good, if not even better than a Toyota Engine.
