So many people that I know got palliatives during the period. Stop the generalization please. Which so many poor people got rice as palliative? From your Google, tell us the number of the "so many poor people". |

The president ordered customs to donate thousands of foreign rice to state government for onward distribution to poor Nigerians as part of palliative during the covid-19 lockdown. The information is readily available on Google. That's why I said you are a funny guy. Buhari ordered foreign rice to be donated to the poor. Where did you see any poor person collecting rice as part of palliative during covid 19 lockdown? Was it the same rice that people had to break into warehouses to take that you are referring to? Abi which one is in your Google? Before the emergence of IDP camps, what was customs doing with seized rice? now that COVID is over, what happens to the rice? |

Every true believer will be gathered unto Christ at THE LAST TRUMPET. Let that word sink in “Last Trumpet”
The Last trumpet is in Matthew 24 v 31. Jesus mentioned it would be blown “immediately after the tribulation of those days”
There is no trumpet after the one in Matthew 24 v 31. Did the person you responded to say anything about trumpet? |

seunmsg: Frozen foods are not auditioned by customs. They are destroyed immediately after seizure.
Foreign rice are not outrightly banned in Nigeria. You can import foreign rice only through the seaports. Importing/smuggling foreign rice through land borders is what is banned. Even at that, seized rice are not auctioned. They are simply donated to IDPS, victims of banditry or as palliative to indigent Nigerians.
What customs regularly auction are vehicles. The vehicles are seized for various importation offenses and not that they are all outrightly banned from being imported into Nigeria. What happens to the seized vehicles? Are they also donated to IDP camps? This guy, you are funny. Customs destroys frozen foods immediately after seizure because you are talking to kids. Where did you see customs donating rice to indigent Nigerians? Before the emergence of IDP camps, what was customs doing with seized rice? |

What A Country Its not new. Customs has been operating like this for ages. Customs officials hardly go to the market to buy rice, cars, chicken, tin tomatoes or oil. They just take from those they seized. This shouldn't be news to anyone |

Sixfiguresmart: The custom today is run by Atiku and his boys. Atiku is the biggest importer of generators. He owns that business. He was the former boss of customs. All these in operation today are his boys. These people hold our nation to a standstill. Everyone has put in loyalists in place to serve their personal interests. Mind you, these boys in charge of all these ministries have family relations with either the president, or an Emir or sultan. They are all locked in by blood or by marriage.
Tinubu is in charge of all the statistics in maritime. Anytime you pay any tax, you are paying Tinubu. These men run this country like my bowel runs me.
Davido was telling you all what he spent 100m naira just to clear his Rolls Royce. No one paid attention to that. You all were looking Davido. it will get to your turn. Why on earth would a human spend such amount just to clear his car? There should have been a probe right away. But imagine 100m Naira into the pocket of these
There should be an established policy that certain standards of cars cannot come through and there should be an alternative to that.
Is it not time that the government stepped in to see how to subsidize the cost of vehicles for Nigerian citizens with Innoson? A government that does not manufacture car is legislating the type of car that you should buy when it does not provide good roads and employment for you. That is bullying. And, you are the one paying this government. When was atiku the former boss of cudtoms? Can you provide evidence of atiku importing generators and being the biggest importer of generators? |

rusher14: If you are that idiot that keeps asking questions even when he gets the answer, I'll stop responding to you.
Subsidies are paid to reduce the costs to the end users.
Nigeria, since the time of Abacha has NEVER had its refineries working to full capacity hence we've always imported.
Until private refineries work in Nigeria, government would need to continue to subsidise unless the citizens are willing to bear the high cost.
My last response on this matter. You have made claims. Why are you getting emotional because you have been asked to shed more light on the claims you made? Where you forced to make your claims or did you do it ignorantly? Is fuel subsidy all about landing cost? Was the govt not paying subsidy even when the refineries were working? What is the proper rate? I didn't ask what happened during abacha era. Or are you saying it was during abachas govt that nigeria first had refineries? When the nigerian govt start paying subsidies? |

you are looking for actual data and statistics from the company..and I encourage you to make enquires from them directly I didn't ask you for the aim of the waiver. I asked you. How has the tax waiver reflected in the prices of their products? How much of their profits would the waived taxes would have erased? How come your aim and facts can't answer those? How did you arrive at your facts without "actual data and statistics" from the company? Like I asked before, did you ask the companies before you came up with your "universal facts"? |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi: Fuel Subsidy Is Organized Crime by CheapHomes1: 10:02pm On Sep 19, 2022 |
rusher14: Yes.
For as long as you import, it would be in line with the landing costs which includes the prevailing exchange rate.
If it must be sold at "proper" rate, it would be out of the reach of the general public and can only lead an increase in the cost of living and production. Is fuel subsidy all about landing cost? What is the proper rate? Was the govt not paying subsidy even when the refineries were working? |

Cognitivereason: Direct your questions to the companies let them give you their accounting data..
it seems you find it difficult to assimilate lexy2014 Did you ask the companies before you came up with the following? Cognitivereason: this is the same practice in every developing nation..
it not necessarily aimed at reducing the price of their products...it is about the companies making more in order to expand and keep up with the cost of doing business here.. for example.
Diesel prices are over 400% compared to 2018.. many Nigerian companies run on diesel to produce..but non of them increased the price of their goods by 400% between 2018 and 2022... did the cost of making telephone calls double since 2018 even when what powers all the facilites is diesel.. the loss margin can be offset with tax waivers
expansion is also another part.
Virtually all of the companies given the waiver are on expansion project which will increase their capacity to produce more and employ more..
Dangote is working on a refinery and sugar plant..honeywell is expanding to over raw sugar production and refining How come with all your assimilation, you can't answer simple questions? |

SmartPolician: Mention one religion that recognises women in this world. Both Christianity and Islam, which are the world's biggest religions, have no regards for women.
However, the US is encouraging countries to embrace democracy and to give women a voice. That's called equity. A good example was what happened in Afghanistan when the US military pulled out of the country.
I can give you other reasons, but that's the much I can type now. What has religion got to do with the question I asked. You made a claim about what America is promoting. What has that got to with Islam& Christianity? How does US encouraging other countries to embrace democracy automatically mean that it is promoting justice, fairness and equity? |
