If one wants to sponsor a spouse, should the sponsor first apply for eligibility and when its approved, the sponsored will now apply for PR? Or are we suppose to send in the 2 applications at once? By the 2 applications, I mean the sponsorship eligibility and the application for PR...

My birth certificate got missing in transit. My parents remembered the month and year but not the date. Didnt blame the, I was from a poor family so we didn't celebrate birthdays, it would have made me know the day. When I came of age, I assumed a date and started using it. I applied for lottery and won but before I won something happened that made me go to the parish where I was baptized to get my baptism cert re-issued. On there records, very old book, I saw my date of birth and started using the correct one. When I filled the acceptance form sent to me for the lottery, I didn't remember and used the new date. Weeks turned to months, I didn't hear from them. I emailed them, only to get a reply that my day of birth wasn't consistent with what I submitted during application, so I was denied...

Firstly, my uncle is an Engineer who is employed in a company he has worked for years and he also runs engineering consultancy services which I stated.

I used the rate as at the date I put in my application which was at 345 as at May 20th.

The investment has a maturity date of 3rd September and my bank gave me a letter to that effect aside from the investment certificate, I also included the investment bank statement.

In proofing my relationship with my uncle, I included his birth certificate, my dad's death certificate, his place origin certificate and that of mine, our picture together with other family members, his picture with my late dad and their other two brothers, my picture with him.

I don't think I can continue because the school can not refund you your fees if u apply for refund of fees later than 4th of October. What if I defer and same thing happen again, that means, I won't only lose the monies I have spent on this journey even the millions I paid the school. The school policy is a very selfish one and I can't dash them millions of Naira when I need the money more than them.

Which school is that? I think you can get refund minus administrative fee when your present a fresh rejection letter.

Do not be discouraged, in my case, after the first rejection, I only reapplied so that I can get a rejection letter to apply for refund because everybody I consulted said my case is impossible, although I added few documents that I didn't add before...

Lo and behold, I was approved, I dedicated this approval to God, He made impossibility to be possible...

So read their refund policy very well again, I don't think any school will not refund if you did not succeed in getting permit...

Same situation, no tracking ID from the courier service and yet VFS sent me a mail notifying me about its transit to my chosen location.

This is tiring. I don't think the passport have been sent. Maybe they have alot on their plate. The last email we got is an automated email sent immediately they got the passports back from IRCC...

Who has gone through the passport submission and collection by a courier service. Does it take time before the passport gets to one? I was sent a mail on the 22nd of June, that my passport has been sent out but I wasn't sent any tracking ID nor have the courier service contacted me.

I chatted with vfs today and they maintained the passport has been sent out but the Abuja team hasn't sent tracking ID to them to forward to me. Does it mean they sent it without a tracking ID and why haven't it gotten to me after 8 days...?

Please whoever knows how to process works should please help me explain. Thanks

I thought I was alone, seems its a general problem, I was sent an email on Thursday 22nd that my passport has been sent to me, I waited to get a tracking number from the courier service but didn't get any till now.... I chatted vfs on Friday 23rd and the lady said my passport will be picked up at close of work from their office by the courier service I guess, that I should not worry, that they will call me when they get to my location. This means that by the 22nd that they told me that it has been sent, it was still in their office...

Since Monday I have been trying to get through to them, I have called tire, it kept saying busy, I have sent many emails, no reply, I have tried chatting them but since this week, their chatting platform hasn't been working fine.

What happens if you travel to Abuja and it has left their office, it means you will still come back empty handed and wait again until it gets to you. Also, what if you visit Abuja and collect the passport, will they refund you

This has made me to conclude that vfs does not care about quality service, if not what would have made them chose UPS over DHL, maybe they will make more money with UPS than DHL. If it were to be DHL, it will not be taking this long. When I wanted to submit my passport, I first went to UPS and was told that it will take 5 days to get to vfs Abuja but DHL said 2 days and in exactly 2 days, they delivered...

I believe the passports have left VFS, the problem must be from UPS... I stay in Owerri, they may even be waiting to get enough waybill coming to Owerri before they waybill my passport together...

They would have allowed DHL and UPS run the return deal together, let people chose which courier they want to use...

yes they are, application is $100 and you have to pay for a term withing 2 weeks of admission. No deposits...

In a sane country, all the judgements made by that judge must have been on review now...

Whats the essence of the sms charge that we pay to VSF. I thought it is for update, for example, they are to update me when DHL dispatched my passport to them etc...

I sent my passport since 7th of June, I got confirmation on dispatch from DHL on the 9th of June and since then I have not gotten any message or email from VSF. And I am beginning to get worried...

Please does it take this long? Because I have seen someone here that submitted on the 26th of May and collected 1st of June...

Also, any ideas on cheap flights? I am going to Toronto...

This was actually why I added my sister as well because I felt leaving it out was material. I had also done research on caselaw (in situations where visa was rejected based on strong ties) regarding listing a sibling in an application for study permit and judges had in all instances ruled that ties in canada should not be used as a negative evaluation factor. I also wrote a strong SOP as well given that I was a frontline covid healthcare worker the intended course was to build on that.

From my angle, you did everything right, we have similar cases. Yours is your sister, mine is my wife. Many people, even lawyers and immigration consultants that I contacted in canada said my case was impossible, Immigration Consultants in Quora said same thing. I only reapplied so that I can get a rejection letter to claim tuition refund, then guess what? God stood in between...

I added some few new documents anyway, but in all I strongly believe it is God. Why you prepare to reapply, please keep praying and believe in faith, without doubt. There is nothing impossible with God...

You can DM me let me tell you things I added, or check my previous post, you will see documents I submitted. I will advise against JR, its not necessary. Get the gmcs, pray and reapply...

I submitted my passport on the 7th of June and DHL sent me acknowledgement on the 9th of June that it has gotten to the destination. Will I get confirmation from VFS that they have gotten the passport? I paid for the SMS fee and included proof. I also paid for courier return of passport and submitted proof...

So I was thinking that they will send me sms when they receive it, or is it not what the sms charge is for? Someone should please educate me.

I wasn't given any yellow or blue slip when I did biometrics. I was asked to photocopy the data page of my passport, which I did and submitted. Something was pasted on it and I was told that I will use it to collect my passport after it is stamped.
