Billyonaire: Assuming, just assuming that Paster Bakare made this statement; Lets analyse critically;Classic example of 2+2=5 reasoning. What if the guy is just trying to pass off his calculations as prediction ehn? Besides I'm sure PTB is not the only one hating on GEJ and wishing him dead....including many other Religious Leaders |
Talk is always cheap. I personally hope his predictions come through in a way that would better the Nigerian populace. Time will tell sha... |
And I'm out folks... I'm off for Sunday Lunch... I enjoyed this thread and chatting to most of you... I used to respect one of you...but Wind don blow, and the fowl nyash don open yakata... Stay Blessed People.. |
shymmex: [s]The fight for the survival of the Osu people continues...Anybody who has been to Peckham knows its not different from Mile 2. S****ex probably works at this stall selling ata rodo for Alhaja
|
bashr8: you do a better job documenting why almajiro are flooding yorubaland and why more yorubas are turning into almajiro beggersBashr8 the boy lives in PECKHAM. The poverty level in that slum is OUTSTANDING. |
People if you're really allowing the Slumdog Millionaire Igbo Basher to wind you up, You should be ashamed. Someone who validates his self-worth using Nairaland shouldn't even be noticed talk less of replied Zeruchi I'm looking at you... ![]() |
shymmex: Shymmex is a don...That's Good to Know... ![]() |
Has anybody noticed that the Main Igbo basher on this thread is the child of immigrant parents living in a slum in London. And he has been advocating forcible removal of Igbos from Lagos, when he himsel does not even know where his home town is... The Irony on Nairaland Cracks me up.... |
jason123: Certainly not! I don't pray for such but it does not mean we should push it! The so called millions of Igbos go back to their SE states every Christmas, hence, if Yorubas wanna strike, they can. A man cannot run away from his own land. Yorubas, Igbos and everyone else have been living peacefully (except the Hausas in the early 2000's and they got what they deserved), lets keep it that way.Agreed... |
shymmex: [s]Get on your level?Did I hear someone speak? I must have been mistaken.... ![]() |
jason123: So because immigrants have an impact in London, it means their numbers cannot be reduced?! Dude, what are you on about?! Anywhere in the world, immigrants will always have an impact, especially in the labour sector of the community. Why? Because they do the job the locals are not willing to do. How many Yoruba guy wanna sell spare parts?! How many Hausa guys wanna be a chemist?! How any ND guys wanna be a taxi driver in PH?! Very few hence, the migrants will dominate that sector. Likewise, how many White Londoners wanna work as a care giver, stall owner, Kebab seller or street sweeper? Little, hence, us immigrants are useful to do these things.I completely understand where you're coming from... I myself have been racially abused. I myself have been stopped and searched for no reason. I myself was not allowed into a club one night because the bouncer said "You wont like it in there, its only students" and I was a student! But these things happen even in Nigera...even on Nairaland! So you cant escape racism or its cousin tribalism anywhere....You just have to learn to deal with it...So you think Yoruba's can honestly carry weapons against Igbo's in LAGOS? With the Millions of IGBOS in that town? Bros allow it... ![]() |
shymmex: [s]You chat poo... Get on my level.. Back to the topic at hand.. I continue to insist that Lagos is heavily multicultural. And as long as Lagos is a part of Nigeria, Nobody can chase any tribe out... If Nigeria splits though, then its a different story... |
Danka7777: This is a learning venture, kindly share the meaning of "OMONILE". Why are you hiding it? Is it a derogatory term or something?Omonile means children of the owner of the land. I honestly hope you never encounter these people.... |
shymmex: You live and work in London, but you're still a newbie/FOB...I have never had to struggle. I run my own Biz. I own my own house. I am black but I enjoy my life. I know what happens in London with searching and profiling. I was in issy when the riots started. You cant preach to me because you were born in London. I live here. I work here. I know this place. |
jason123: Now, I know you are not serious!I swear down you guys no dey reason at all... If you want to see the impact of immigrants in Britain, look how many british athletes are Black or Mixed race. How many English players are there in the premier league. In Sheffield, where I partly grew up, all the shops are asian, all the taxi drivers are asian. Similar situation in London. The Polish are EVERYWHERE. There's always gonna be a racist element, there will be racist people, but how is that different from Shymmex ordering igbo people out Lagos? |
Danka7777: Couldn't answer your question because I have no clue what "omonile" means? You don't have any statistics to prove that Igbo people own most of the land in Lagos like you claim. Only Abuja. And I pray you never have to know the meaning of OMONILE.... |
shymmex: STFU!!Dont start getting offensive na? I live and work in London. |
shymmex: That's just being politically correct because of UN...Bruv allow the PC brigade, On my 1st day at job in Ealing, I was late and a bit lost. I tried asking directions to my location, the 1st 3 people I spoke to could not speak a word of ENGLISH. London is in the UK, but realistically is a country of its own... You sef know as e dey go... Unless them pursue all of us with WINCH....Na we immigrants get am... |
jason123: They already own two EUROPEAN seats. East London (Dagenham and co), upon all the Jamaicans and Nigerians wey full there, BNP still won. Don't be deceived, you can't lose on your own land and we (non-indigences) are actually the minority in London not to talk of Lagos that is surrounded by 5 SWestern states. How many seats do they have at Westminster? I can guarantee you that the BNP can NEVER come to power in Britain. Britain relies way too much on foreign labour and trade to allow that to happen. If you want start talking about MP's I give you Nigerian Politicians in Jand... Chuka Ummuna MP Streatham Kate Anolue Mayor of Enfield Ironically they're are both Igbo sef... forget BNP ever gaining power sir, Even Boris Johnson is part TURKISH... |
Danka7777: I don't spew lies but fact. find linkYou haven't answered the question, have you seen an igbo omonile in Lagos before? Besides your thread is about Abuja not Lagos... |
shymmex: Lmao at the bolded part... So, who owns London??Baba you live in peckam na? You should know these things... Anyhow sha...Take this http://www.economicvoice.com/two-thirds-of-all-2010-births-in-london-were-to-a-foreign-parent/50028214#axzz21MAkCX9N http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/politics/4144789/Most-London-babies-have-foreign-parent.html |
jason123:Who wan vote BNP in? When even the queen's children are GREEK? |
Danka7777: There is a popular adaje that: He who controls the land controls the state. When El rufai took over as FCT minister, he found out that 70-80% of properties and land in Abuja and its environs were own by the Igbos. This is a fact; research it. I am pretty sure if you went to the Lagos state development Authority or whatever you called it there, you would be shocked that the igbos own 70% of the Lagos properties and land.Stop spewing poo here jor... Have you heard of an Igbo omonile in Lagos before... Lagos is heavily multi-cultural. YES. But dont chat shyt to our faces jor. |
Everyone believes they are telling the truth let me tell my own. In some people's minds they think making Lagos indigenes only will be to the detriment of others but actually Nigeria would benefit by and large.
Nobody can lay claim to Lagos anymore. Lagos is like London. Even the British indigenes cant claim to be the owners of London |
Yes ignore the truth that Lagos the king of Nigeria is the pauper of Africa lmao even tiny Gabon has cities worth looking at. Go to skyscraper city and seem how big mighty Lagos is mocked for its gaudiness. Even blessed Abuja doesn't fair better. Tell me how is it that old a.s.s Nairobi built mostly in the 70's is more modern in appearance than Lagos and Abuja? Yes all hail the mighty substandard Lagos ![]() Dear learn how to read I never mentioned 10 anything, O mentioned the fact that SW people seem to have Lagos on the brain more so than the non-indigenes lol does Ogun and Oyo no longer have cities worth mentioning? Some of you guys were not even born there and Stan hard as hell for that place, are things that bad that nowhere in the SW is worth mentioning? ![]() Who cares about empires, the same Europeans who had kings and queens dropped them for republican systems long after people in the SE figured out that it's the best way to go lol. For all your empires you have nothing to point to but Lagos how sad... The irony is that you guys think that chasing everyone out of Lagos would be a bad thing, if anything you would be doing large swaths of Nigeria a favor. If you have no choice but to stay in your hometown and do whatever it takes to make it better instead of running away, you benefit in the long run. If anything Lagos who like the US benefits from a brain drain from other places will suffer the most. So please chase out all non indigenes of Lagos, you would be doing a great service for the nation
Madam calm down Jor,Lagos is too multi-ethnic to realistically belong to any ethnic group anyway. Oya Farabale Nicely... Wind your neck in.. |
alj harem: Bros what are you saying exactly ? 200 years ago Hausas have been settling in lagos, are they indigenes ? NOYes I am, My main question was if I could contest for governorship in Lagos state being half-igbo on my mum's side. Reason being If theoretically I could contest, then theoretically I could win, and I could theoretically win, then theoretically an(Half)Igbo man would rule Lagos based on the theory of dual nationality and thus theoretically countering shymmex's assertion that: shymmex: Igbos will NEVER rule Lagos, that's our prize..Its all theory of course ![]() |
Shoot bird, en mama fly. You are a person ginger the swagger Wan, Toooo, Tiri,.... |
shymmex: I don't how the politics work (because of its complexities), but from what my pops told me, I doubt they will allow you to compete in Lagos..I also don't understand the intricacies of Lagos politics. My ancestral house has been stood in bariga for over a 100 years. My great grandfather then went a couple of streets down and built his house in 1927. And my village has been there for only God knows how long... yet you say, ilaje's are settlers Is lagos the Awori birthright then? |
shymmex: Aworis own Lagos Island, Ikeja, and most parts of the mainland..Noted.... Now another one: I was born in Lagos (Western avenue hospital) to a family from Ilaje Bariga(My ancestral home sits on hill overlooking 3rd mainland & the lagoon) BUT, My mom is IGBO... Theoretically I could compete for Governorship No? |
Quick question... Who actually rules Lagos in its current sense? The traditional omo-isale-eko should not really have jurisdiction over inland locales(like agege, ikeja, abule-egba, Festac, mile-12 etc)should they? These areas are not part of traditional 'Eko' are they? Or do the Aworis claim jurisdiction over the entire state? |
Looking forward to tonight... My money on Shymmex... |
Judges I am currently on my way to a party anyway... I dropped my post, any body that wants to argue against me can copy and paste my post in his thread and argue there with me in absentia... A person who isn't disciplined enough to stick to simple rules isn't worthy of my time... He's gonna chat shyt anyway so I'm not missing much... I would like to know the scoring for round 1 though.... Apologies to other legitimate debaters. Y'all wrote well... |

I'm your God, son - and I've got people like you working for me[/s].
Dude, please be very realistic! If a full blown tribal war should happen in Lagos, the Igbos will suffer terribly but Lagos will suffer as well. Let's not pray for such, hence, trouble dey sleep, yanga go wake am!
