Wow, thanks so much omaibaji, kaffy4bill and evryone for your support and prayers! You guys are just the best. I came here to give update only to see your love and support. Omaibaji, your experience really encouraged me.

Here's the news: finally the miscarriage abi evacuation (dunno what else to call it) has started. Remember I have been bleeding. Before sleeping, I prayed that God should start the evacuation even before I see the gyn so that I can end this chapter. Didn't know He'd answer quickly. It was around 2.07am, I woke up to urinate and right there on the toilet seat, I felt something coming out of me. I quickly jumped up and watched as a giant clot of bloody stuff dropped on to the pad, followed by another one. Woke Dh to see, changed pad, prayed & went back to sleep. I have been passing different sizes of bloody tissue clots since today & now the bleeding is gradually reducing. Dh has been so supportive, been cooking and doing the chores, he even had to take permission to be with me today & tomorrow for the gynea. I have no pains at all except weakness and tiredness & for that I am grateful to God. Will see my gynae tomorrow. I know it will end in praise

@omaibaji, in your experience, what was it like? Did you still do evacuation? Or were you given drugs? Also when did you start having sex after it all and how long did it take to conceive again? Pardon my numerous questions pls.

Its no bother! Glad I can help. There are some cases were the actual cause of miscarriages are not know. It could be drugs, truama, it could even be hormonal. Sometimes God mad our body to be able to detect baies with faulty chromosomes. So instead of hvaing a deformed child.. Ur body expels it early , kinda of the way antibodies work.
For now, wen u take in, watch wat u eat, bed rest And see ur gyn early so u can be mointored based on ur previous history.
After the evacuation.in one or two months ur body system shud return to normal for u to try Again.

For now see ur doc, eat well, maybe u will be placed on vitAmins to help ur body repair faster.

Don't worry I have seen lotS oF my patients take in fewmonths after miscarrying.it will surelY end in praise.God bless u

@rofemiguwa. Thank you so much. Nobody explained this to me. Just want to ask. What could be the cause of the miscarriage in Jan? And I didn't feel it too? Is there anyway I can prevent it from happening again in another pregnancy? Can sex or other activities affect it, cause dh and I were having sex after the spotting stopped in jan? Even before spotting sef, cause I didn't even know I was pregnant until I went for test. Also, does playing the saxophone and sewing affect cause I do that as well? And how long does it take for the womb to heal and hormones to be normal for another pregnancy? Will I see my period? Sorry for the numerous questions. I am just bothered so I won't do any wrong thing again.

@MamaOO, yea I did an ultrasound last week Tuesday, wasn't spotting or anything. That's when the whole drama started. They didn't see the foetus or even the gestational sac and so booked me for a repeat scan in two weeks. But I started spotting and had to go to the hospital. Can I do a vagina ultrasound when I am bleeding?

I went for another scan in another place and still no foetus and no ectopic pregnancy either. On sun, I started spotting scantily. It was just going on and off. Tuesday it came again. Went to the health Centre nearby cos it was late in the night, they said they will not give me anything to stop d bleeding, according to them 'the pregnancy has spoilt'. Hmmmm. I Went to the hospital again today and they did another scan, still nothing. Had to do pregnancy test which still showed positive. No fibroid, said my womb is ok. That the spotting/bleeding will stop. I asked if I'm having miscarriage. Said no, that if it's miscarriage, d pain will be terrible. Cos I don't have any pain at all, just the spotting/bleeding. I am so confused right now. I don't understand at all. I am to see the OBGYN on Fri. Two scans said there's a tiny cyst, d third one said there's no cyst that it's fluid in the POD, it's the same thing they're calling cyst and fluid cos they showed me one whitish part of the scan. I am just worn out jare. I have done 3 scans within a week, no evidence of pregnancy or foetus but 2 positive Bfp, LMP is Dec 5 and currently spotting/bleeding. Please remember me in your prayers.

Thanks so much Rofemiguwa. My LMP was dec 5 and I did a blood pregnancy test on the 9th of Jan that showed positive. I didn't bleed or spot recently at all. I only spotted scantily around 5th to 7th Jan and since then, no bleeding or pain. I will do another scan as you advised.

Cheerychy did you tell them you wanted pelvin scan or obstetrics ? Anyways, repeat the scan in 2 weeks and see what they say

It's the hospital where I registered for antenatal. Was asked to go for scan since I'm in my first trimester. This is my first scan. Please what's the difference between pelvic scan and obstetrics? I want to go to another diagnostic centre to do another scan later this afternoon.

The scan report looks very scanty and incomplete for someone who is pregnant.

This was mine at just 5 weeks and they properly analyzed everything. Maybe you should try a different scan centre

Didnt even see any fetal pole. Only the bulky uterus. I waited to see two more people do their scan and theirs was very clear. I will definitely do the scan again.

Good evening mamas. So I went for antenatal and did my scan today. Everything is fine but I no understand my scan at all. First, when the scan man couldn't see anything at first and had to ask me to drink enough water and come back when I feel pressed. Did anyone experience this? So i drank water and came back 30 mins later, by then I was super pressed,was just holding the urine. Then he checked and checked before we could see some things I don't really understand. Doesn't look like embryo stuff. Was told to do a repeat scan in 2weeks time and to see the dr. I went and was told to come back in 2wks,dat the uterus is bulky which means there's something there and dat there's a cyst in the right ovary. Asked if I am bleeding or in pain, No to all that. I am almost 10 weeks and now I'm worried o. Thought I'll see the foetus, no matter how small. I snapped the result and attached it to this post. Please, doctors and nurses in the house and all the sabi mamas, can you explain better abeg? Thanks.

What will wives not see? Well I was served my own pound of flesh by mil today and I stood my ground in saying NO!
Okay let me report myself.
Because my hospital is closer to my in-law's place and my mil is a midwife, 40years experience, she'll be able to monitor me during this last stage of pregnancy.
So today, she called me that her grandnephew of 14years o, I shouldn't be calling him by his name but brother xx. I thought she was joking and told her I can't that my uncles' wives call me by name.
She was furious that I dared question her authority and how could I refer to my family when brideprice was paid.
In the heat it all, dh came to visit me and he took side with me. Then mil called fil to start coming home immediately. When fil was told about everything, he said such culture is not practised again that the urgent call made him scared that something bad had happened to me who's 34weeks pregnant and have miscarriage history.
Thank God I got full support of dh and fil if not I would have involved my family with a matter that started small but escalated. I'm leaving in-law's place tomorrow. I can't condone mil's attitude towards me after the confrontation. Not in this jet age will any mil dictate to dil what she should do

You're strong! Way to go. Some MIL sometimes forget that they were once DIL.

You're still in your first trimester. Tiredness, weakness, and sometimes vomitting is part of the package and referred to as morning sickness. The good thing is you are able to eat. So just eat well, rest well, and take your drugs. With time you'll feel stronger. My weakness stopped in the 13th week

Ok. Thank you. I've not been vomiting or any sickness. Just surprised at the overwhelming weakness. I'll take your advice.

Occasional headaches is actually part of pregnancy symptoms. Its best not to wait till you're hungry before eating. Hunger pangs ignites the headache, that is why it goes away after eating. I always set a reminder to make sure i eat every 2-3 hrs. If its unbearable, then you can take pcm

My pregnancy was 39 weeks yesterday and I was supposed to go for ANC and then proceed to work, I was at work the day before because I had planned that I will work till I give birth so that I can have a enough time for my baby. Around 6a.m., I started feeling contractions. I just decided to watch it and complain to the doc later, only to discover it was like 10 minutes apart. I told my husband and he had to prepare my baby for creche and took her there and also bought the other baby things I've not bought. I was at home timing the contractions and by the time he came back, it was getting to 7 or 5 minutes apart so I took my bath and we went to the hospital.

On getting there, I was placed in a room, checked and told I was 5cm dilated. The pains kept coming at intervals, at times it will be regular while at other times it won't be. After about one hour, a nurse came to tell me she has to do enema for me. I asked what that is and she said they will pass an hose into my anus and flush it with warm water so that all the 'yamayama' will come out. OK o. She did that and I stooled enough watery stool.

Around 2:30pm or there about, my water broke. My husband was with me then, the contractions were stronger and closer that each time it came I screamed with all my strength. He called the nurse and she took me to the Labour room. That was where the real drama started.

She checked and said it was close, the doctor was called, he checked and said the same thing. All the while, I was in blinding pain, I could not even see anything, I was just hearing what they were saying. The doctor left and had to come back after few minutes when my noise kept increasing. Another nurse came and said she wanted to check how dilated I was, she checked. The first nurse said she wanted to check and tried. I just got angry, what with all the overchecking. I closed my legs sharply and told them that the checking is giving me unbearable back pains. They started complaining that I wasn't cooperating. Na them sabi ke.


All the while my husband was rubbing my back, I was holding him and screaming. He later told me I almost bit him, haba, I be dog? Suddenly, I just felt the urge to push so I shouted I want to push oooo, the doctor said wait don't push. I shouted again, I can't control it o. The next thing, I felt the head come out, then the shoulders and that was it. They were even running upandan because they didn't expect it, not even me. I didn't even push, the baby just came out herself. After about 5 minutes, the doc asked me to cough and the placenta came out. God knew I had spent all my energy shouting and made it very easy for me. I had a little tear which was sown in about 5 minutes. We got to the hospital around 11:30am and put to bed at 3:04pm, she weighed 3kg. I told God to make it fast and easy for me, He did it. He's a faithful God.

I bless God for seeing me through this pregnancy, I never planned for it. My first is just 14 months old and I almost gave up when I discovered I was pregnant again, I was angry with myself, my husband and everything. People used style to mock me, like 'no be yesterday she born one'? Some even said it to my face. I was even ashamed of my self. But after sometime, I accepted it and moved on, it was tough but God saw me through. Having a toddler and being pregnant without help was so not easy at all. I didn't even have a LMP because my period didn't resume as at when I took in again, my EDD was based on the first scan I did. I was hoping to give birth in January sef. To the glory of God, it all ended in praise.

Olubankemi, do you eat a lot of vegetables as in leaves, cucumber,cabbage, garden eggs? They encourage bowel movement and eating them too often may overstimulate the bowel.
It could even be salad. Or if you eat out it could be foodpoisoning.
If you rule them all out then it is part of your package. Enjoy it while it lasts
