9/11...Exactly twelve years ago, thousands of American citizens Lost their Lives in what would be one of the deadliest terrorist attack on the United States. The twin tower buildings were hit by planes suspected to have been hijacked by terrorists with one man "Osama Bin Laden" suspected to be the mastermind behind the attack as the attack was linked to terrorist group Al-Queda...This came as a shocker to the United States and the entire world as rescue missions were on at the centre of the attack.The casualty figures were reported to be around 2,752 people killed including the fire fighters and those aboard the jumbo jets before it was hijacked and redirected to the world trade centre twin tower in New York City.The then president of the United States George Bush had this to say..." In the normal course of events, presidents come to this chamber to report on the state of the Union. Tonight, no such report is needed. It has already been delivered by the American people. With 61 universities shut down for over 61 days, the ASUU strike seems to be an impediment to Education in Nigeria as it has almost turned into an annual festival celebrated across the Nation...With the future of Nigeria students in jeopardy, the ASUU strike has become a menace to the society...With ASUU claiming to embark on strike for the sake of students due to the falling standard of education in our beloved nation, it is well know that the ASUU strike has never yielded result from the onset...Will it be useful this time?, is this some propaganda from ASUU to line their pockets and that of their cohorts? Are there not other means to ask FG to meet their demands?, dont ASUU think about its negative effect on students?...With most of the questions above Left unanswered, the students cannot say for sure when the conundrum is going to end...The students on their part Lack strong students union to delebrate on issues affecting them as it is now common place for students union not being efficient as the nationwide protest by NANS has also been futile..The discussion has been taken to social medias like twitter where Aljazeera stream champions the forum(@AJStream,#ASUU, #nigeria) with notable response from a former vice president which goes thus...
