spyder880: I noticed that there is some underground water coming into the foundation, although very small. I refused to blind this foundation partly for us to monitor the flow of water. This is the way it looks after the heavy downpour all through the day.
i gez raft foundation will be introduced in the project 2plank @least.

Copiousworld: I have done haulage before and got burnt bitterly. I personally will not advice anyone who is soft and not ready to down the drain with parties involved to venture into this biz. As lucrative as it may seems, its a very* risky and fund sucking business. From your manager to drivers, mechanics and motor boys can never be trusted and you see them all swearing in the name of God. Majority of the people in Nigeria want to make money from you and they go to any length to get this done. Best advice, Never let your truck embark on any long distance trip. Always be around your truck and be ready to fight, arrest or assault your workers/ partners in public places. Haulage are meant for people who are ready to go ANY length to succeed in the business. This is personal experience and a few friends i know who were also involved in haulage..
No doubt u spoke well, i advice that principal truck owner should rest there mind on agreement with managers and accept to hand over the truck after a stipulated period. Mechanics sometimes are innocent but drivers are the major problem in haulage.

lawalta: Hello kind people.
I am in the process of tiling my 4 bedroom house in the villa.
I currently require advice on the type of tiles to use and quantity required. The measurement of the rooms and sitting areas are as detailed below.

Wall
Toilet 1 = 15 cartons
Toilet 2 = 14 cartons
Toilet 3 & 4 = 20 cartons
Kitchen = 15 cartons

Floor
Room 1 = 25sq
Dinning & Sitting Room = 21sq + 34sq
Room 2 & Room 3 = 40sq
Kitchen & Store = 12sq + 4sq
Passage,Corridor & Courtyard = 3sq + 5sq + 7sq
Guest room & small passage = 13sq + 3sq

An artisan, using the building plan, gave me the above estimate, though I cannot remember the type of tiles, he based is estimate for the Wall tiles on.
I have also recently met a colleague, who has indicated interest in supplying the materials (so that I can pay her monthly).
Firstly, I don't know the best fit tiles to use, and the pricing in Lagos.
I want modern but not overly expensive materials. I also, do not want to use inferior materials or poor Chinese made products.... Over to you well meaning people
Call patrick on 07038618860, he will help you on that.

Investment › Re: Can Anyone Graciously Please Details Tipper Business In Naija.. by Chekitaut:
olushowunm: @OP.. Sorry for the typo, i mean minimum of 20tons and not 3 20tons truck...
But you can get that if you market that first when you come.. Then you can bring in the trucks if agreement is in place...
For the quarry, you can source for customers on NL here on the property section, then you can use your wide network to source for supplies, if you have a 30tons Mack truck, it can make you 60k per trip to Lagos on the average... If you have connection in Government or construction companies too, you can suply them granite and gravel for road construction and others...
So my only advise is to come down yourself with only one or two trucks and market yourself, then you can proceed to import more for expansion if you are okay with it or you sell the truck(s) if you are not satisfied with it....
Imagine, if you want to haul goods to north or even southwest, some people pay as much as 200k per 30tons cargo, i have paid 90k to Agbara within Ogun state before..
The potential is huge!
Pls note that the maximum you can make per trip from ibadan, Abeokuta, Ogbere quarry to Lagos is 30-35k/trip take home without maintenance, Wear and tear, and salary. Note this
