Don't know you've tried it,was thinking something new will come out of it. Yet to try the new software of 245 ultra.

Those with Tiger decoders, there are new softwares this July with some upgrades.

It's possible this is the way I set up mine too. Very easy to track. Nigcomsat primary 42° 12518H29500 while your Joytv will be below as 28°e

What he is saying is that with Nigcomsat as primary U can't get 26e along with 28e because of reduced signal.

not possible even wit 1m not possible unless u'll make 28/26° as primary & add nigcomsat on top of it my own set up is 28/26° as primary, dstv & nigcomsat on top of it white 16° below it

If you are in northern part of the country or region towards north, it is visible but in Lagos, you will need at least 1m dish to get almost all the tps on 16e using 42e as primary on 1m but with 90cm, you will just get one or two tps.

Yes it is possible. 42e should be your primary while 16e your secondary with a 90cm dish.

@ holyaustin, its very difficult and I don't think anyone has done that on a 90cm dish,I stand to be corrected though.

Increase signal level of 10970 then tweak ur lnb to get MBC

Rave Tv 11635 H 30000. It's H and not V. They will show all matches according to their adverts.

I track Nigcomsat and have been watching it. But my decoder has power problem and was repaired, also I has to relocate my dish. After installing the dish in the direction it was before, I try to use the same settings on my decoder to get my channels back but I couldn't get it . I was picking "Belarus 24" tv station. what can I do

Oga,you are on Belintersat (chinasat) @ 51°e, you will have to elevate ur dish just a little to hit Nigcomsat @ 42e. Hope u understand.

well the choice of cc was made my the installer, we just paid for the whole system, instead of paying for parts, so we had to deal with what he got.

As for experience, well, this stuff is all pretty basic. well i guess that sounds, weird, being that I made this cc error, but the more I think about it, the less sense it makes. When the batteries are full, the charge controller throttles charging current all the way down to zero, even in full sun, so why would it fry when the battery is disconnected isn't that open circuit similar to no current on a full battery

As for the battery, well the charging characteristics were met pretty closely. The CC would charge up to 56v daily, same with the inverter. So it was never overcharged. we just started losing capacity rapidly. I mean we have 2,000 watts of solar, electricity from 10-7a.m, 4 200ah batteries and just running 500 watts load continuous. I feel under these circumstances, that the battery should have lasted for years.

Bro, I think ur problem is with ur batteries because with 2000 watts of solar power, u should be at least getting a good dose of energy from ur 200ah ×4 battery setup. As for ur mppt roasting,enuf has been said about it and I'm sure u hv learnt ur lessons though in a hard way,but d good thing is that you have acquired knowledge from this experience.

I think the 1st part of your calculations was right but the latter is not.

200Amp-hr x 12volts= 2400watt-hr

In your example, if the tv is 50watts, then

2400watt-hr / 50watt = 48hrs.

The tv should run for 48hrs not 4hrs.

This is at 50% depth of discharge (DOD) for both batteries excluding losses.

However, most of these chinese or indian inverters do not have selectable DoD settings. One may be stuck to factory setting. In most cases, deep discharge protection is preset to DOD of 80%. If this is correct for most inverters, then we are looking at 80% of both batteries. Some set as bad as 10%.

400Amp-hr x 12volts = 4800watt-hr

0.8 x 4800watt-hr = 3840watt-hr

From my estimation of his loads

2 fans - 160w full speed
5 bulbs - 100w based on 18w
Led tv - 80w full brightness
Decoder - 10w
Total - 350w
Assume 10% losses say 35w
G total - 385w

3840wh/385w = 9.97hrs

It work on all the Tiger decoders I have tested it on, but I don't know of it's compactability with order models like strong, Qsat etc. It is produced by Tiger.
