Religion / Re: Cultism, The Spiritual Consequences And Deliverance Through Christ by Cheny(m): 6:25pm On Nov 09, 2021
enthronedbyGod1:

Galatians 5 : 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

You just described the passage I quoted. This is how the devil on one hand tries to pull Christians down with the flesh, the Holy Spirit on the other hand gives them a silent nudging in their spirit, but unfortunately a lot of Christians end up submitting to the lusts of the flesh.
The flesh was pulling you , the Holy Spirit in you was disgusted with the idea, thank God you submitted to the Spirit of God by listening to your inner man and not to the flesh.

There's a great battle for man's soul and this battle is going on in our minds. If we can fully conquer and have mastery over our thought lives as Christians then the most part of our problems with sin is solved, cos almost every sin starts from the thought and emotions.
The Bible commands us to cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God in us, and then make sure every thought is a captive to the obedience of Christ. We should always as Christians think our actions through and compare with what Christ would do. We should always make sure every action we take is tested with God's word and subdue every thought that's contrary to God's righteous ways. Our thoughts should be captives to the obedience and knowledge of Christ through God's word before we fully execute them.

God bless.

Hmmmmmn......Only the wise will see the depth of what u just analyzed. Yes,the major battle ground is located in our thoughts as Christians. Once you compromise at that point,u are heading for a big fall. Remember,Jesus himself overcame only through the power of the word resident in him, otherwise he would have succumbed to the devil's trick of turning stones to bread. But He countered the devil's strategy by throwing the word back " Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word tha comes from God".
Our Lord Jesus overcame where Adam failed. Remember, Adam fell to satan's temptation of the lust of the eyes and the cravings of the flesh. If we allow our heart, mind and thoughts to be polluted by such things, then we have compromised and yielded to satan's traps.
Take note, the 3 ways the devil gets hold of many ministers and Christians especially in this generation is thru:
"the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life".

Research before answering questions!
7e and 4.5e can be attached below 16e.
I normally do 16e primary, 4.5e and 7e below, 26e,28.2e, 33e or 36e above all on one dish.
My bad then, but I don't think I have come across such set up of 28.2e as primary with 7e and 4.5e attached without signals being compromised on a 90cm dish.
Your situation is having 16e as primary which i am not disputing as I have done something similar, but that is not the case in question.
Well,we are all still learning and I will gladly like to see a setup with 28e as primary with 7e and 4.5e attached.

No, you can't, because the angle will be too tight to pick the 7e signals.

And for football lovers here, with ur multi lnb set up on 16e,28e,and 32e, you can get to watch a mix of Epl, laliga & bundesliga on GTv sports +, Max TV, Avy news & our TV. At least these ones can be enjoyed for now.

You uploaded a picture and circled (H.265/HEVC) as meaning multistream, that isn't correct.
I was just pointing out that H.265 doesn't mean Multistream. A decoder can be H.264 and still multistream.
Strong 497s is H.265 but doesn't multistream without a software patch.

'H.265' is just a video compression standard, 'Multistream' on the other hand is a Signal Stream Transport standard.

Two totally different things.
It was simply education, not an argument though.
Peace

Yes, you nailed it. My t245 + ultra (Tiger) multistreams even though it's not H.265. So I watch Max tv,etv,GTv sport plus, crystal prime, crystal plus packages etc,on astra 28e. Note,I can't get that TP with my Range t20 which is H.265 because it can't multistream.
Investment / Re: Invest With Sunrise Agro-allied Farms And Get 30% Of Your Investment Every Month by Cheny(m): 7:09am On Aug 15, 2020
30% return of interest monthly is not sustainable. We must be frank to ourselves, if any business outfit will stand the test of time the ROI must be realistic and not cosmetic. Even if the business is real, genuine investors will be scared because of the mouthwatering ROI which sounds too good to last.
So,think of a realistic ROI that will help both the business to run smoothly and also encourage potential investors.

Please if indeed we intend to continue pursuing the goal of this thread,we should focus on that and stop all the side-kicks and verbal exchanges as it contradicts the message we are trying to pass to the younger generation.

About 2 to 3 pages have been spent already on beratings and bad-mouthings. A lot of folks are reading and learning not just from the objectives and goals of the thread but also from the attitude the contributors display despite being an online forum.

The goal of this thread is more than our individual egos,so let us contribute as well as accommodate other people's opinions as long as it's in line with the goal of the thread. We can still learn from one another despite out different views on this matter. Remember, differences in opinions is no excuse for lack of love.

well , i do not reason like an average nigerian. they commit so much shitty crimes then try to cover up with religion. i heard someone talking of grace etc. we have the mentality that after committing grievous we can just repent and ask for forgiveness and the crime wll be forgotten. dude, if someone kills my bro in the name of cultism, i will trace him to anywhere he is. it might take me 30years, the day i catch am which i know i will, he is finished. i am sure there are people with worst mindset than me there. so that rule stands, if u have killed in the name of cultism, u will be traced and killed, the only sht is that it might take time

True, you have a point and I have seen how a changed system man thought he had escaped the consequences of his past only for him to meet his Waterloo after years of staying out of cultism.
We were coursemates back in the Uni but we all knew in class that he belonged because Mr B was always on the move and it was not a secret he carried a pistol with him always. By then, even family members distanced themselves from him because his own notoriety got no limits.

He couldn't graduate with us though he was brilliant and sound. He ran to PH and got admitted to UniPort but continued his barbarism. He had a nickname synonymous with the sound of gunshot because he had killed so many. After some years I ran into him and after exchanging pleasantries, He told me he is not who he was and has totally changed. And to be fair to him I saw the the elements of change in him as he now settled in town and got into a legitimate business, got married with beautiful kids.
To cut short the long story,Mr B was poisoned where he was relaxing one day and even though he was rushed to the hospital he couldn't make it and left this world leaving behind two kids and & their Mum.
Most times, the consequences of ur actions will follow u even when u think you've changed because nemesis strikes back when u least expect.

There's another school as peaceful as oau if not even more peaceful. I did my msc there.. that's unilorin.. what this Africa did to oau was what ishaq oloyede, (current jamb chief) did to unilorin when he was VC. OAU and Unilorin have almost zero cultist activities.

I can attest to ur submission about Unilorin. Yes it is almost totally Cultism-free due to Oloyede's Strict and No-nonsense regime. Prior to his Era, Unilorin was almost becoming a horror horizon because everyother day, blood was spilled and gun shots were a norm especially in that Mini Campus that cultists and cultism thrived so much that u couldn't walk anyhow.

In the late 90's and early 2000's, Unilorin was too hot to roam freely because these devilish cultists were always involved in their useless and foolish supremacy battles and anyone could innocently or carelessly fall btw their crossfires.

I remember then they two main rivals were known as Airlords and Landlords(I guess u understand),and in the heat of their wars, lecturers and students often get injured or killed. There was one Lecturer in the Dept of Geography(Dr Adeyemi),who got killed in one of their crazy free-for-all exchange of bullets.
Also a guy I know very well was mudered brutally by rival cultist when he was traced and targeted along that popular walkway at the Main Campus in broad daylight. This was a guy with good prospects as he was very very talented and skillful in football. Hmmmmmnmnnn,Topé !!! nobody new u were a cultist untill u died. It's a pity he ended his life that way and was buried with all his potentials due to his myopic view and unfortunate sojourn into cultism.

Cultism in Ilorin would have reached the level of what we see and hear in Makurdi today if not for the fact that it was timely tamed at the University of Ilorin back in mid-2000.

For the sake of ur loved ones stay away from cultism and for the sake of ur future don't harbour thoughts about becoming a cultist or listen to voices echoing thru ur mind in ur periods of silence that u must belong, because at the end of it all, you will discover that you have really really wasted not just your precious time, but also distorted and bastardised your priceless heart which is the seat of ur destiny & purpose.

Seriously I don't know what you guys are doubting here.

It was on this same thread someone from Venue made a claim that the Axe head of NBM was a pastor or some sort...

I remember reading where he said it was the Axe head who preached salvation to the lost souls in one Wake keep like that, but after his sermon and all his crew continued there jyration

That same pastor is still running 'ministry' presently and has one of the top churches in town. There are rumours of his exploits back then as NBM num 1 and also rumours of him engaging in robberies. But those of us who know him clearly know these are not rumours but reality.(Relate with @Greenarrow and @Nobones testimonies of this pastor J.)

Even presently, his manner of running ministry depicts some attitude of cultism. He carries along the aura of Mafianism in his modus operandi. Whether he still has affiliations with his Cult group or not is left btw him and his conscience.

May God help us all, because all sorts of people even the religious particpate in this dark thing called cultism. Some of them stylishly promote cultism while hiding under the garment of clergymen. If you are sensitive and discerning enough, you can spot them no matter how good and spiritual they sound on the pulpit.

Regular occurrence.
There was once a brief exchange of gunfire on one of my sites when I took workers from Modern market area (NBM)to go and work in North Bank (SVC).

That's yet another reason why cultism is useless. It takes away your basic God -given and government -approved freedom of movement and association.

Yes, some weeks back a handful of cultists who killed a rival in Benue State had to relocate to another State to avoid being traced. Funny enough even though they are consistently watching their backs People still got to know they have committed because these cultism of a thing is about network of information. As I type, these boys are still jittery at any sound they hear and it makes me wonder what they stand to gain from joining this societal menace called cultism.
Now,the viscous circle will still continue because word going around confirms that the loyalists of the cultists they mudered are trailing them, such that killings and reprisal killings may flare up sooner than later.

If a Cult A goes to carry a HIT on a Guy, and he happens to be at home, sleeping in his house with his friend or Girlfriend, do the other parties get killed too as collateral damage? Or do they face only the person they came to look for?

I am just curious

NoBones
BonesBrigante

Well, they always have their targets but it mostly depends on their mood. The problem is if the innocent party is not aware their target is a cultist, he or she may normally want to defend or challenge them, that is when the innocent person attracts their rage. In such circumstances, these bloodthirsty beings will happily extend their babarism to you (innocent party). When u go thru the stories put on this thread I am sure u will see answers to ur question.

Very accurate analysis.......Naka Street strong hold of NBM, NUJ House SVC
Wadata NBM, New Garage NBM, North Bank hotbed of SVC.

There is a new entrant now Ikeja street when they made a mistake of initiating those hausa boys in that street into Black Skull and NBM those boys just turned their own to something else, even the Core NBM guys don tire for those boys own, they call themselves " Arab Squad" if they are coming, they don't come for hit 5 or 10, most times they come in a group of 30 to 40 youths for just one hit.

We no dey sleep for my area because of those Arab Squad, they are so mean and ruthless.

Na God dey help us for that my area

U people can teem up and agree to flush these guys away with help of security men or else before u know, innocent pple will soon experience their barbarism because of their numbers.
Same thing happened at a particular street in lokoja. These boys became so much in numbers that their despicable acts started spilling into innocent persons. They started attacking okada men and anyone who fell into them. One of their strategies was that one of them will come from town on an okada and lead the unsuspecting okada man into their den, they then come out in their numbers and seize the bike along with any money the can find plus some degree of beatings. The community had to mount a road block to check their activities.

When they could not apply that method again they then graduate into stealing on Sundays when pple went for services. They met their Waterloo one Sunday when they robbed a Custom officer who had set a trap for them because He was once robbed by these boys.
He left his phone number with a woman selling somewhere close to his house to alert him whenever these boys gained entrance to his apartment. So while they got into his house and started their robbery the woman called this officer. Since this Oga was ready for them,he had already made arrangement with SARS. Before u know it,these boys were apprehended although some ran away. One of these cultists was a boy in my church, infact he was their main guy, with tattoos drawn all over his arms and back. That was how that area had peace and apart from one of the boys whose influential parents got him freed and had him relocated to another place,we never heard of these gangs nor saw them again. What the SARS guys did with the rest of them, nobody knew.

Those places are the hotbed of cult activities in Makurdi.
While I write mostly about that Ankpa Ward is because it's where I reside.

I don't just share stories because I heard about it.

Last year they killed one boy in our Area around that swange cinema, the boy was an SVC

That boy never agreed for once that he was a Cultist, they attacked that boy around that Area around 2009 butchered him and left him for dead, his revival was like a miracle, but his right hand (wrist) was damaged.

My people this ground don swallow young men wey never suppose die due to cult activities.
Cultism is an evil and must be wiped out of our land.

Thanks, it means if this menace is not curtailed,60-70% of our boys will grow up thinking this is the norm in their neighbourhoods and will be lured into Cultism and gangsterism.

Ankpa ward (Naka street and NUJ belong to the NBM and SVC respectively) hence it is a recurring flashpoint.
Core wadata and New garage areas.
Behind modern market (mostly docile as it is dominated by NBM)
North bank (dominated by SVC). Flashpoint due to the subtle influx of NBM and the attendant desire to lay claim to some territories.
Gyado Villa, Villa Suites and Terwase Agbadu Areas due to presence of BSU and students' off -K hostels. Flashpoint as it is a mix of both gangs.
The level of cult activities in the aforementioned areas greatly surpass that of High Level areas presently so that why it might not come up in mentions.
