Please can I get a screenshot or detailed info on this?

Can we have a briefing on how this is happening or will happening? I'm watching updates in what is being done in another countries, we need same here so we know what to do.
See thanks to GOD for criticism from people atleast I will confess in seeing efforts by the govt recently.

The TB test kit you are talking about as the statement said COULD BE which is not certain yet. Meanwhile it's a test kit with a particular specifications and data sheet which means not anyhow TB test kit. Also they mentioned that they have like 23000 world wide. You know what I mean when I say world wide.

How many of that SPECIFIC kit we have in Nigeria presently and now even US that would produce it are even Short of kit not to think of sending it to anyone.

Generally world wide presently everyone is on is own
Bros alot are in Nigeria currently; each state has atleast one in any major General hospital.
Now, did you see what Trump did with hydroxy-chloroquine and Azythromycin?
He pressured FDA to approve it since it has worked though not proven but better than people dying. Today FDA has approved it.
See, the govt can pressure our own professionals who can try this procedure to expand testing, isolation and targeted treatment

I disagreed on ethnicity aspect. The writer deliberately ignored the real ethnicity of southeast.

The most tribalistic tribe in Nigeria are igbo. Go to igbo shop when you're speaking English they will be speaking their language they know you are not hear. But anytime this matter arise note that they want to cheat you.

If you are a Yoruba and you know how to speak igbo you are trouble because they will hate you with passion.

And for the religious aspect igbo people aren't religious tolerant .there are many igbo muslims but they will not allow them to have say or represent them in Anyway. That's why Anambra people hate Ebonyi people.
Bros do you live on Mars or Earth?
Igbos speak their language more in multi-tribal settings?
I had a manager Igbo with 3 Igbos and 5Yorubas in a team and for 4yrs in that team, my manager never spoke to me in Igbo but once the Yoruba manager came even in corporate meetings, he spoke Yoruba.
Oga Yorubas speak their languages more though I don't feel bad about this whenever it happens

The east are not known for ethnic and tribal jingoism... the topic ascribing the east as ethnic is totally different from the article itself.

"From the article", it goes to show the SW may be the tribal and ethnic region wanting everyone to follow a single party or path aswell as kingmaker and any dissenting view is seen as an aberration and possibly called an outcast.. according to the article, this goes against the line of equity and fairness which the East abhors.. that may be the reason why the fight here never ends.

How would you call Nigeria breweries diageo of Guinness Abinbev or distilleries as pure producers of ethanol or alcohol. Alcohol is their raw material as they mix it at certain percentage to what they produce.

Ethanol or alcohol as spirit for sanitizer are produce from raw material like cassava or sugar which the company I mentioned before are into. Beer producers don't fall under that category Mr
Bros, please in the name of GOD stop this thing naaaaa.
Honestly, I'm not here to insult you or sth but don't make it seem so.
Bros, these breweries produce their alcohol themselves from rice, sorghum & co. and yes can do so. They have the facility to do so
I also have an Intel that NB PLC & Diageo have offered to support with this production.

On number 4 what policies do you need again when various state government are setting up isolation centers in collaboration with the federal government, while competent test laboratory across the country are approved for testing as test kit continue to be made available.

Competent Lab have to be identify because you don't just give any one to do the test of Covid19 as it is a special virus inorder to avoid conflicting results.
Oga, FG isn't supporting any state currently to mount isolation centres. Show me proof, even the ones in Lagos are funded by banks like GTB & co. Even Sanwolu is showing activity more than PMB.
Bros I have Intel that a TB test kit can be used for COVID-19 test (https://www.healthpolicy-watch.org/new-covid-19-rapid-test-approved-for-genexpert-tb-platform-could-pave-way-for-more-testing-in-low-middle-income-countries/) but bureaucracy with govt is stalling this.

Let start with number 1. What do you mean by draw alcohol company. Do you mean attract company that produce ethanol? Because alcohol which is commonly called Kai Kai or sapele water is produce locally already.

At this convid time even if you have fantastic policies to attract investors no investor is investing presently in the world. That is why we are presently facing global recession.

We have companies in Nigeria producing ethanol or alcohol and example is Unikem or Unicane Industry Limited.

So government around the world now concern is about curtailing the virus not setting policies of attracting investors.
Guy, nawaooooooo!
Should I reply this or what?
Oga, there are lots of alcohol companies Nigerian Breweries, Diageo, ABInBev, and other distilleries that can produce sanitizers as we are talking.
Govt can promise these companies 150% of the cost of every sanitizer they produce now free to the appropriate govt agencies in tax holidays.
Imagine sanitizers of 500ml is sold at N3,000 and who knows how many fakes are in town. But if got partners with these companies sanitizers of 500ml can sell for N1,000 and you'd be sure you bought sanitizers and not fakes.
Who is talking about drawing foreign investors
See, bro when people are talking or events are happening, before you support anyone as you're supporting govt now the no well.
If Nigeria gets better its for all and if bad for all.

What policy?
Bros, can we debate on this?
There is no single policy on ground except social distancing which people have been doing on their own.
1. What policy to draw alcohol companies to produce sanitizers?
2. What policies for atleast manual ventilators or makeshift tests?
3. What policy to companies to produce facemasks, and other PPEs?
4. What policy to test a certain group of people, isolate and quarantine them?
5. What policy to ensure daily-job people have food to eat in the 2weeks window or even more if it lingers?
6. What policy to stop or reduce interest rates on loans as businesses are shut down and can't run to repay loans?
7. What policy to sustain in the oil price drop with this economic lockdown?
8. What policy for rent, and other utilities? Will I be able to run on post debited power if this lingers?
9. Any makeshift home for the homeless?

It's not enough to tell me I dont know my job and you do not need to copy and paste links for me to understand what you said. I'm well trained on ventilation across EU and USA and this is what I do for a living for nearly 15 years now. I'm not in doubt that there cheaper ventilators. Now, let me educate you on this...

There are different types of a ventilator viz:

Mechanical Ventilator

Emergency Transport Ventilator

Electronic Ventilator

Under a mechanical ventilator we have the pneumatic ones which is purely driven by gas. an example is the old Newport this ventilator could cost as low as 2m naira

An emergency transport Ventilator doesn't cost much as well but with limited modes, to manage a patient in a critical state to from one hospital to another or from home to the hospital for further care.

Electronic ventilators are more robust and essential for the ICU ( intensive care unit) and HDU( high efficiency unit or critical care unit). This is the type of a ventilator needed in the current situation. Maybe innoson was referring to the first one which was the pneumatic ventilator. This is just for mild cases and not for critical ones which is needed in this case. The ventilation modes of an electronic ventilators are SIMV, BIPAP, IMV, PC, VC, T1,T2,DUOPAP,CPAP, Nebulizer, Etco2( Etco2 module alone costs over 2m naira). This is the type of ventilator we are talking about. For innoson to dabble into production of this, he would have to probably close down the automobile business because it's highly capital intensive. Go and find out the ventilatirs manufacturers' worth ( like GE, Stephan, Phillip, Dragger, Maquet, etc) they are worth billions of dollars.

On the R and D, every manufacturer has their unique products and technology. They also have their unique selling points. Some ventilators come with an integrated respiratory humidifiers while some are stand alone. They go on research yearly to ensure they stand tall as the market is competitive. Additionally, they try to ensure they do not copy themselves to avoid litigation. They do not remain in same locations. They meet with university professors to share patients' conditions with them which could help them modify their products better to ensure efficiency of their devices. All these cost a lot of money. As sensitive as ventilators are, chinese government do not use any ventilator made by their people rather, they go to europe and america to buy. It's in recent times they were e trying to adopt mindray.
Sorry sir
I bow to your expertise and technicality here.
I knew nothing but relied on what I could read up, I'm only verse in data science, bioinformatics and molecular biology.
Pardon those stupid word of mine.
Thanks for the education, I should pay for certification
HealthRe: COVID-19: Innoson Ready To Produce Ventilators & Medical Equipment by Cherez: 8:39am On Mar 25, 2020
fairfora:
Bros, this is my area. I repeat, ventilators aren't motor vehicles. A lot of technology is involved. A device that must behave like human beings and be well interactive. A baby babylog from dragger alone costs 14m naira and it's no more in production. VN5000 which is now a replacement is over 16m naira and if you want accessories for all patient categories ( neonates, paediatrics and adults) you would spend nearly 20m naira to get one. A ventilator is meant to last up to 10 years. I like innoson for his innovative automobile ideas. He should just continue with that.

On a research and development alone, companies manufacturing ventilators spend billions every year. It takes away a huge portion of their profit because nothing most go wrong. It's no child's play.
Bros, your field and you don't know their are manual ventilators or you don't know FG can partner with any Chinese, US, or German firm to avail innoson of the app via online download while he produces the hardware?
My guy see these links
1. https://healthmanagement.org/c/icu/news/nigerian-doctor-invents-portable-low-cost-ventilator

2. https://www.notechmagazine.com/2020/03/open-source-breathing-ventilators-covid19.html

3. Funded but still low cost; https://www.superiorideas.org/projects/low-cost-ventilator

4.https://m.alibaba.com/showroom/medical-ventilator-price.html

Bros if Govt is serious, IVM and any other engineering company can produce this with the right formulas.

Lol, R & D? Bros there are already made ventilators everywhere. Is the technology of a modern car less than that of a ventilator?
Did IVM attend school or certifications for many years to gain expertise to produce his cars?
Oga, with the right cash and partnership FG can make it happen
