So after much worshipping i decided to get some sleep and then come back to share my testimony. Started this journey last year after a cousin told us about EE and how hubby and i were qualified to apply since we are still in our early thirties. I already had a UK masters degree and hubby was about to round up his own. We started saving up for POF, wrote IELTS once in February and both came out in flying colours. Once hubby rounded up his masters we had our evaluation done with WES. We decided that hubby be the PA because the company he works for has a strong online presence. Document gathering wasn't difficult and we got all letters in CIC format So here is our timeline. CRS: 461 ITA: May 23rd AOR: May 28th MEP/IP1: June 8th RPRF request: June 26th Paid and uploaded RPRF: June 29th IP2: July 6th PPR: July 6th(saw the mail at 3:40am today) A few things to note: Hubby and I have an extensive travel history so we filled a travel history form upfront. I have also had 2 visa denials so i filled a schedule A upfront. Hubby has no visa denials. LOE's: One to explain the Visa denials for me and the second one to explain that hubbys masters degree was obtained via correspondence( Distance program) All my documents including my passport are in my maiden name. POF: Hubbys savings account. We also attached his payslips for 6 months and his salary account showing the movement of funds from his salary account to his savings account. Filling of personal history: Hubby and i didnt include our Bsc degree in it because it was over ten years ago and we didnt evaluate it so didnt see the need. The only place i mentioned it was in schedule A. We just made sure we were honest in our application, filled it, said a prayer telling God exactly how we wanted our application to go and he did it. I return all glory to him. Even though I'm a silent reader, i benefitted alot from the thread and the contributions here are invaluable. Special thanks to all our contributors Glitteringstar, Newmum et al. God bless u all immensely. For all the PPR hopefuls, your testimony is sure. |
boundlessjoy:All glory to God. Just checked and saw that its 39 days post AOR not 41 sef. |
Guys its 3:40 am now. Hubby said he felt somehow and needed to check his email. I told him to sleep. Well, he checked and showed me a PPR mail. 39 days post AOR on the dot. We asked God for 45 days max for processing before we sent our application and he did it in less than that. I couldn't help myself i started laughing and crying at the same time. Surely, there is a God somewhere. Will tell my soon. Let me continue with my worship because i can't sleep again. |
SkyWalk12:Hi SkyWalk12, please I'm interested in attending a session. Please where does it take place? Because I'm in Lagos Island and was wondering if they hold it on the mainland. I'm asking because I've got little children and weekday school runs and all... i 'll need to plan myself very well. What are your thoughts? |
olu21ola:Hmmmm. Wish you hadn't included it in the profile creation. There is no point including his work history if there is no point claimed for it. You can only claim point if the work was in Canada. Nevertheless, move all his work history to personal history, that way u won't have to upload any employment document. People have done it so I'm not sure it counts as Misrepresentation. All the best. |
pretygurll:You will get it soon. I actually got mine 4 days after the evaluation completion date stated on the site. Just relax |
[quote author=Newmum0615 post=68295225]Guys, |
PhDAdmission19:You cant evaluate an incomplete degree. Either evaluate only your B.sc or wait to complete your masters. |
doppler06:Thanks alot. I used a GTB master card and it worked just fine. |

Good evening everyone. Quick question please. Is it advisable to submit a SCHEDULE A form upfront when filling the application, if i have been refused a Visa before? If so, how do i go about it. Should it be downloaded and hand filled or electronically? Should it contain all the info contained in personal history i.e all both information for claimed and unclaimed points? Sorry if it seems I'm rambling. I'm just confused and would appreciate a detailed info on this Schedule A form thing. Thanks |
Good evening lovely people. questions please. 1. When creating the EE profile, would you recommend stating spouse work experience, even though no points will be claimed. I understand that this can be moved to personal history later but i would prefer not to change information up and down . OR would you recommend leaving it out in the profile creation and just mention it in personal history Post ITA.2. Is it necessary to include bank statement of a gift deed donor. I have the local transfer form, gift deed and affidavit and of course my own bank statement showing transfer. Just wondering if i should request for it. Thanks for the anticipated responses. |
I'm also a silent reader. By Gods grace ITA will fall on me next month. @Glitteringstar, you are a fantastic human being. Good bless you and all our seniors here. |
Hello everyone. I m a bit worried about my hubby's WES evaluation. So he just rounded up all his modules and thesis for his UK Masters degree which was via distance learning. He has also confirmed from the school that he passed all his courses and thesis. All that is left is graduation is June. However, we were able to obtain a confirmation of result letter (the actual degree cert will be awarded in June) and we sent that to WES for evaluation. The problem is we only just found out that the official transcript both hard copy and Gradintel online portal will be available in June. Although the school is happy to send whatever document they have available. After sending the confirmatation letter to WES, it has been stuck at "we have recieved your document/we are reviewing your document" for about 2 weeks now. Has anyone obtained an ECA for "in progress" studies? Thanks for the great advice on this forum. |
[quote author=Obadunni post=66418777]Hello all, thanks for the good works here. Please I need your help. I am a lawyer with masters in Law. Therefore I have three degrees, my bachelors degree (LL.B). Law School Degree (BL) and Masters Degree (LLM). However, for my express entry application, I did ECA only for my Masters degree (LLM) which is equivalent to Canadian masters degree. My question is this, while filling the studies section in express entry profile, should i: 1. Fill my Masters degree only and say yes to ECA and don't fill my bachelors and law school degree OR 2. Fill all the three degrees but say Yes to ECA for my masters degree only and answer NO to my Bachelors and Law school degree. 3. Third question, please what is number of hours for NYSC work experience? I want to use it but i don't know the number of hours to write Thanks for your kind response. I really appreciate I see its already been answered. I had the same concern .Thanks. |
Please does anyone have an answer to this question. Obadunni: |
DadR:Thank you very much |
Asterix2001:Pls does anyone have an answer to the above question I' m also interested in knowing. |
Goodmorning lovely people. Please i need your advice on an issue. I'm about to request for my UK PCC but the proof of address is giving me headache because my Passport is my maiden name while all abailable proof of address shows my married name (i intend using two bank accounts statements from different banks). I was single while in the UK. Do u guys think it might be an issue if UK PCC is marriage name while other documents are in maiden name. Thank you. |
Hi I have a quick question. I, my husband and my four year old daughter would soon be renewing our US visit visa through the DHL drop box program. I have a son who just turned one and I want to apply for him as well, it would be his first time applying. Now, can I include his application with the rest of us using the Drop box service(even though he doesn't qualify) or do I need to go through the scheduling appointment/interview for him. I am just wondering since he is just a baby. Thanks in advance. |
Hey, I just want to say thank u to everyone who offered advice and suggestions when I needed it. I had my interview today and it lasted less than 2 mins. Here is how it went: My number gets called and I and my daughter went to the window and pass my passport to her ME: hello Goodmorning VO: *smiles* Gmorning VO: where are you going in the US ME: Texas VO: Why Texas ME: was highly recommended by my husband as he visited texas last year VO: Is your husband traveling with you? Me: No, he will be busy with work VO: Have you travelled outside Nigeria and where Me: yes, the UK and the UAE VO: where do you work? Me: I answered VO: how much do u earn? Me: I answered VO: your visa has been approved, please pick up on Wednesday at Lekki. Me: All smiles and I said thank u, picked up my daughter and left. Thanks y'all once again |
igbankebabe: And just incase, maybe call the embassy to ask if you can swap your present DS-160 with a new one under the same interview date. Since you have already booked your ticket. It is worth a shot. Before calling, fill out a new form so if they ask for a new ds160 reference, you can readily give them. No harm in trying that at this point since you can't reschedule. All the best. Thanks all for your suggestions. I am super relieved right now , I called the embassy after filling a new ds160 and they were able to update my profile with the new ds160 and emailed me the updated appointment letter with the same interview date. Thanks y'all. I will post my experience after the interview. By Gods grace I will have a positive one |
tzetzefly: If you can fill another DS-160 form and change your appointment date, the better for you. This will put your mind at rest and prepare you psychologically for the interview.I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. What I meant was that I have booked my ticket to Lagos as I stay I Port Harcourt. Also, this is kinda the only free time I have to attend the interview cos I ll be very busy with work projects and planning a burial and I don't want my leave period to elapse before the interview! Sorry for all the rambling, I'm just so upset! Thanks for your suggestions though |
cheromel: Guys please I need your advice. I am just realizing that I made a slight error in my US contact name by one letter and my appointment is 2 days away. My husband gave me this info while he was offshore over the phone so I didn't hear him clearly, he just got back and he spotted the error. Guys what do I do? I m worried out of my mind. Do I call the embassy? Urgent response needed please! Thanks y'allI have already booked my flight for Lagos. |

tzetzefly: Do not state in the form that your husband will be accompanying you to the States. This may be viewed by the CO as a means to relocate to the US by your family.Thank you very much. I appreciate. God bless. |
cheromel: Ok so here is my issue; cheromel: Ok so here is my issue;House pls someone reply na. Abeg |
Also, any useful tips from those who recently attended interviews would be appreciated. I m freaking nervous and have been going through likely questions and answers like mad. Thanks y'all. |
Ok so here is my issue; I have an interview sheduled for the 10th of May, its for a B2 visa for my 1 year old daughter and i. we intend going on a 2 weeks vacation. My husband already has a B1/B2 visa as he went for training last year. while filling my ds 160, i stated that my daughter will accompany me, i didnt include my husband because he wasnt sure if he will be free at the time we intend to travel. Yesterday, he mentioned to me that he will be scheduling his vacation and will be travelling with us if we get the visa. Now if asked at the interview, do i state that he will be accompanying me bearing in mind that i didnt fill his name in the ds160 or do i state that he wont as he will be busy with work? I also work and have supporting docs to that effect though my husband is sponsoring the trip. Sorry for the ramble. pls help. |
