Career › SECRET OF SUCCESS By Uchechi Rachael by Chibuzoc(op): 7:26am On Sep 02, 2016
Success is the achievement of social status, completing a goal, and reaching an objective or the achievement of an action in a set time.
We don't unfold or discover ourselves! We create and build ourselves into the kind of person(s) we want to be.
More difficult than success it self is how we handle success! Many people know how to become successful, but after they become successful, they don't know how to handle it.
Great men and women who made record breaking achievements had 2 unique qualities: DETERMINATION and CHARACTER! Both are "TWINS" (twin sisters) and they go hand in hand! Determination will get you success, while character will keep you successful.
That was the secret of Joseph! He had determination and charisma (the gifts and talents) but he also had CHARACTER! Whatever you want in life, determine to jump the failure hurdle by holding on to God like Joseph did while in prison.
He fought all odds to fulfill his dreams and God crowned his effort (Genesis 39:2-6) you must have the CHARACTER and DETERMINATION to run your race and calling. Pray that God will help us as we adhere.. www.buzorpages.com/2016/08/secret-of-success-by-uchechi-rachael.html

Foreign Affairs › Chinese Hotels Ordered To Reject Guests From Muslim Countries by Chibuzoc(op):
Police order hotels in Guangzhou to reject guests from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Turkey, and Iraq.

Police in China have reportedly ordered hotels to reject guests from five Muslim majority countries.

Budget hotels in the southern city of Guangzhou said they had received notices from police beginning in March, ordering them to turn away guests from Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Afghanistan.

China’s foreign ministry said it had never heard of the policy, but several hotel workers have corroborated reports of a ban.

A hotel worker said that local police had told staff they must turn away guests from the five countries until September 10, but had not explained why.
“I'm not clear of the reason. We just can't take them,” a worker in another hotel told Reuters.

The ban has not been extended to upmarket hotels, or to budget hotels that belong to international or domestic chains. Three hotels identified by Reuters were all independent and charged around $23 a night.

The rule coincided with a development forum held in Guangzhou on 25 and 26 August, and will extend until after the G20 summit set to take place in Hangzhou, 620 miles away from Guangzhou, on 4 and 5 September.

Despite the large distance between the two cities, Chinese media speculated the rule was a security measure related to the summit, which will be attended by high profile world leaders including US President Barack Obama.

According to Chinese media, officials are extremely concerned about terrorism during the event, and may fear an attack by Islamic extremists.
Hangzhou itself has stringent security measures in place, with strict controls on traffic reportedly causing traffic jams and checks on post delaying residents' deliveries. The city is essentially being shut down for the week of the summit, with all businesses closed and local people given time off work and encouraged to leave the city temporarily.

In addition to the Chinese authorities viewing Guangzhou as an access point for Hangzhou, some delegates are expected to visit Guangzhou itself before or after the summit as the coastal city is an important industrial hub, with a sizeable foreign population.

However foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang said he was not aware that restrictions had been placed on who could stay in hotels in Guangzhou.
“I've never heard that there is this policy being followed in China,” Lu told a daily news briefing.

“Moreover, as far as China is concerned, our policy in principle is that we encourage people from China and other countries to have friendly exchanges and are willing to provide various convenient policies in this regard.”

Foreign Affairs › Naked Donald Trump Statue Leaves New Yorkers With The Giggles by Chibuzoc(op): 12:12am On Aug 19, 2016
A naked statue of Donald Trump, complete with bulging belly and elaborate yellow hair, caused laughter and merriment in New York on Thursday until it was demolished by park wardens.
Hands clasped across ample belly, the sculpture was unveiled in Union Square, gazing out across a busy street with an engraved plaque saying "The Emperor Has No Balls," witnesses said.
Four other naked Trump statues appeared on Thursday in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Ohio, according to social media posts. Indecline, a California-based company, released a video on its website showing naked statues of the controversial Republican presidential nominee being made.
But New York's department of parks and recreation was unimpressed. Wardens ripped the statue from its base before using shovels to smash its feet and foam base to smithereens, and pry its metal platform from the ground.

Health › 5 Places To Put Your Deodorant Other Than Your Armpit by Chibuzoc(op): 8:02pm On Aug 18, 2016
Your armpit is one of the sweatiest parts of your body, but
that’s not the only part you need protection. I’m quit
convinced you’ve heard of something called boob sweat. The
average perspiration-stopping stick can actually stop
perspiration, reduce friction, and kill bacteria from head to
toe especially toes. You need to discover other spots to
apply deodorant this time. If you want to slather your skin
with product, using a natural formula that is aluminum free
is recommended.
Here are the five places you
need to put your deodorant
other than your armpit;
1. Your face: Applying deodorant on your face may sound
ridiculous, but its powdery contents can help mattify the
face. Besides, some natural deodorants include bacteria-
fighting ingredients that can also curb breakouts.
2. Your kneels: If your new shoes are giving you blisters,
then pull out the antiperspirant. You can create a layer of
lubricant that stops friction by rubbing a roller-ball around
your heels and along the sides of your feet so as not to have
to resort to band-aids.
3. Around your hairline: This is a must have for frequent
runners and on-stage performers because it’s a performer
trick to keep sweat out of the eyes. Simply rub an
antiperspirant around the hairline and along your neck to
keep your face moisture free, but ensure to use an invisible
formula instead of a white stick so as to avoid flakes.
4. Your bikini line: You sometimes want to avoid itchy, red
bumps around the bikini line during your next vacation. An
unscented deodorant is one solution you already own in
your bathroom. Apply to the area around your panty line to
avoid ingrown hairs and razor burn. Ensure that you use a
different stick than the one you use under your arms.
5. Your inner thighs: One thing we are not looking forward
to is chafing, while being super excited for shorts season.
Ideally, rubbing between the thighs can cause sweating,
redness, and irritated bumps. To reduce friction, swipe a
touch of deodorant on the inner-thigh area.

Fashion › 10 Reasons Ladies Wear Makeup by Chibuzoc(op): 9:01am On Aug 14, 2016
Although it can be expected in society for women to wear
makeup, especially for formal occasions, and some may not
like that, many women simply love to wear and play around
with different makeup. It's fun!

1. To boost self-confidence is a factor, but to express oneself
ties into it too.

features.

Health › Eat Healthy While Breastfeeding: Quick Tips by Chibuzoc(op): 4:12pm On Aug 13, 2016
Breastfeeding has many health benefits for moms and babies. For example, breastfeeding will:

Help protect your baby from infection and illness
Give you and your baby time to be close and bond
Save your family money

Making healthy food choices while you're breastfeeding will help you and your baby get the nutrients you both need.

Most people can get all the nutrients they need by eating healthy foods. If you are worried about getting enough nutrients while breastfeeding, ask your doctor about taking a multivitamin.
Make your calories count.

To get the nutrients you need while breastfeeding, make sure to include these foods in your diet:

A variety of vegetables and fruits
Seafood, lean meats and poultry, eggs, beans, and unsalted nuts and seeds
Fat-free or low-fat milk or yogurt – or soymilk with added calcium
Brown rice, 100% whole-wheat bread, and other whole grains
Fortified cereals (cereals with added iron and folic acid)

Limit foods and drinks high in “empty calories” from added sugars and solid fats. Foods and drinks with lots of empty calories include desserts, snack foods, fatty meats, fried foods, and sugar-sweetened drinks.
Eat 8 to 12 ounces of seafood each week.

Fish and shellfish have nutrients that can help your baby see and learn better. Eat seafood 2 or 3 days a week. Be sure to include a variety of healthy choices, like:

Salmon
Catfish
Cod
Herring
Shrimp
Canned light tuna
White (albacore) tuna – no more than 6 ounces a week

Avoid fish that are high in mercury, especially swordfish, tilefish, shark, and king mackerel. Mercury is a metal that can hurt your baby’s development.
Drink plenty of fluids.

Your body needs extra fluids, like water and fat-free or low-fat milk, when you are breastfeeding.

Try drinking a glass of water every time you breastfeed.
Limit or avoid drinks that are high in caffeine or added sugars.

If you choose to drink alcohol, follow these safety tips. http://ourhealthyblog..com/2016/08/eat-healthy-while-breastfeeding.html

Politics › SHOCKING: Hillary Clinton Is Responsible For The Kidnap Of Chibok School Girls by Chibuzoc(op): 6:38am On Jul 22, 2016
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has blamed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton for the kidnap of the Chibok school girls in North-East Nigeria.

Speaking at the Republican National Convention Tuesday night in Cleveland, Governor Christie said, ''Over the last eight years, we have seen this Administration refuse to hold her accountable for her dismal record as Secretary of State.

''Well, tonight, as a former federal prosecutor, I welcome the opportunity to hold her accountable for her performance and her character. We must present those facts to you, a jury of her peers, both in this hall and in living rooms around our nation.

''Since the Justice Department refuses to allow you to render a verdict, let's present the case now, on the facts, against Hillary Clinton. She was America's chief diplomat. Look around at the violence and danger in our world today every region of the world has been infected with her flawed judgment.

''But let me be specific so you can render your verdict. In North Africa, she was the chief engineer of our disastrous overthrow of Qaddafi in Libya. Libya today after Hillary Clinton's grand strategy? Libya's economy in ruins, death and violence in the streets and ISIS now dominating the country.

''Hillary Clinton, as a failure for ruining Libya and creating a nest for terrorist activity by ISIS guilty or not guilty? In Nigeria, Hillary Clinton amazingly fought for two years to keep an Al-Qaeda affiliate off the terrorist watch list.

''What happened because of this reckless action by the candidate who is the self proclaimed champion of women around the world? These terrorists abducted hundreds of innocent young girls two years ago. These schoolgirls are still missing today.

''What was the solution from the Obama/Clinton team? A hashtag campaign! Hillary Clinton, as an apologist for an Al-Qaeda affiliate in Nigeria resulting in the capture of innocent young women guilty or not guilty? She fights for the wrong people.

Politics › Enugu, One Of The Safest States In Nigeria- Ugwuanyi by Chibuzoc(op): 6:22am On Jul 22, 2016
The governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has described the state as the safest in the country. Ugwuanyi spoke yesterday in Enugu during the presentation of the second edition of the books; “Discovering the Police” and “Sugar Cane Receipts,” written by the state Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ojukwu, and commended the Police in the state for their support and cooperation in the efforts of his administration to maintain peace and security in the state.

The governor noted that the police had continued to play their part in the sustenance of peace in the state which had enabled the state to remain as one of the safest in the country for a long time, adding that policemen deserved to be encouraged to do more. Ugwuanyi also commended Ojukwu for his wisdom, courage and diligence in x-raying his knowledge and experience in the police for the benefit of both officers and men in the police in particular and the public in general on the need to cooperate with the agency in the fight against crime and other social vices. He expressed belief that the books would “offer a deeper insight into the principles and procedures that guide the operations and activities of the police vis-a-vis their mandate to secure the lives and property of citizens,” as well as clarify areas of doubt or scepticism against the police and thus build greater understanding and partnership between the public and the police. Earlier in his remark, the author of the books, Mr. Ojukwu thanked the governor and other dignitaries at the event for their support and show of solidarity, pointing out that he was moved by his passion and deep rooted experience in the police force to publish the books to offer insights and analyses of the security organization in a bid to create the avenue for people to understand and appreciate their operational strategies.

Politics › Delta Assembly Adopts Resolutions Of South-south, South-east Joint Session by Chibuzoc(op): 2:18am On Jul 21, 2016
RESOLUTIONS of the joint parliamentary session of the South-South and South-East state Houses of Assembly held in Owerri, Imo State have been adopted by the Delta State House of Assembly.

The joint parliamentary session took resolutions on two key issues affecting the two geo-political zones.

Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Tim Owhefere moved the motion, which was unanimously adopted during plenary yesterday.

Owhefere, who doubles as the chairman, House Committee on Information, told newsmen after the plenary that the two key issues were the Grazing Reserve Bill before the National Assembly and the Niger Delta question.

He explained that the regional lawmakers condemned the bill on the grazing reserve, as it was another obnoxious Land Use Act that had impacted negatively on the people.

He said it was observed that about 80 percent of land in the geopolitical zones were already covered by oil exploration and exploitation with the attendant pollution, saying that the remaining 20 percent in use for farming and other purposes cannot be ceded for the purpose of cattle grazing.

Owhefere emphasised that the regional legislators rejected the Grazing Reserve Bill, saying it was anti-people of the two zones and challenged the federal lawmakers to do the needful by throwing out the bill for the sake of unity of the country.

On the situation in the Niger Delta region, Owhefere said the joint session took a stand against pipeline vandalism in the area but urged the Federal Government to reassess its present disposition on the issue.

He stated that it was resolved that the federal government should enter into a peaceful dialogue with critical stakeholders in the zones to resolve the dispute and operate within the rules of engagement without incurring collateral damage similar to that of Odi massacre of 1999.

Politics › Nigeria’s Present Economic Situation Worse Than Biafra Civil War – Aregbesola by Chibuzoc(op): 6:47am On Jul 18, 2016
Lagos – Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has bemoaned the present economic situation in the country saying that even the hardship experienced during the Biafra civil war between 1967 and 1970 pales into significance when compared to what is being experienced in the nation today.

Speaking recently in an interview with journalists, the governor said the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari did not declare a state of emergency on the economy does not imply that Nigeria is not inching to that direction.

He said the worsening economic situation is largely responsible for his inability to pay salaries as he has been receiving less than N200m monthly allocation from the federal government when the actual amount he needs to pay workers salaries is N1.7bn.

On the reason for the downturn in the economy, Aregbesola attributed it to massive theft of crude oil under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) controlled federal government.

According to him, the failure of former President Goodluck Jonathan to secure Nigeria’s pipelines led to the nation losing $40m daily to oil theft.

“What we experience in Nigeria today is due to the inexplicable theft of 400, 000 barrel of oil every day during the regime of President Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP”.

“ It is disheartening to know that from June 2013 till when the regime left in May, 2015, that theft amounted to about 19 per cent of the Nigerian common wealth. If we calculate what the nation is losing by 100 dollars, Nigeria loses 40 million dollars daily to oil theft”.

“Nobody has ever asked us how we are managing to pay salaries since we started getting less than N200m as allocation since September 2015. A sum of N1.7 billion is spent on workers’ salaries every month”

“Even the civil war was not as biting as what we are facing in Nigeria now. Because they did not declare economic state of emergency in Nigeria does not mean that Nigeria is not near to that” he said.

Foreign Affairs › I’ll Use Brazil’s Experience To Fix Ghana’s Fulani Menace – Nana Addo by Chibuzoc(op): 5:44am On Jul 18, 2016
The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo has promised to use the Brazilian experience in tackling the current Fulani problem in Ghana, if voted into power this year.

He states that Brazil, with a population of some 200million people, has a cattle population of some 213 million.

This however has not brought the kinds of problems Ghana has grappled with in the last few years with Fulani heads men. Brazil has put in place policies and measures to ensure that the animals are ranched and therefore do not mingle with the human populace Nana Addo noted.

According to him there are several other ways of handling the nomadic menace which has bedeviled the country for years.

This Nana Addo says his administration would implement if given the mandate.

He said this at Agogo in Asante Akim North Constituency in the Ashanti region to climax his 5-day tour of the region. The constituency is one of the worst affected by the activities of Fulani herdsmen whose cattle destroy farmlands of locals.

The nomadic herders are also accused of raping and maiming the locals.

Few months ago people of Agogo ordered the headsmen out of the area with their animals.

Nana Addo received a rousing welcome at Ejisu, Konongo, Agogo and all the towns he visited. Business and commercial activities came to a standstill during his visited.

Politics › Embrace Yar’adua’s Template On Niger Delta, UNDEDSS Tells Buhari by Chibuzoc(op): 5:02am On Jun 29, 2016
A Niger Delta group, United Niger Delta Energy Development Security Strategy (UNDEDSS), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to embrace the amnesty programme granted to repentant Niger Delta militants by late President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua in June 2009.

While blaming former president Goodluck Jonathan for failing to consolidating on the gains made by the Yar’Adua administration in the region, it said the use of sheer force will not achieve any lasting solution to militant activities in the region.

Addressing journalists in Lagos on Tuesday after an emergency executive meeting, Secretary General of the group, Mr. Tony Uranta, disclosed that the Niger Delta has “unanimously resolve to resist any further attempts by the federal government to toy with Nigeria’s future by continuing to maliciously deploy the military in the region or attempting to deploy sinister divide and rule tactics against the region’s key actors”.

“President Buhari is advised to personally and visibly head a holistic solution-seeking strategy that will prove his commitment to a robustly sustainable peace in the region, for there to be true unity, stability and progress in Nigeria”,? Uranta said.

He further decried what he called “the ongoing farce by too many of President Buhari’s political friends and Ministers, who are wasting time establishing so-called Contact Committees that will not resolve pertinent issues sustainably”.

According to him “There is no need to re-invent the wheel. All President Buhari has to do is return to the very successful Yar’Adua Template of 2009”.

To resolve the crisis, UNDEDSS disclosed that the President must personally broadcast to the nation an indefinite ceasefire to be matched by armed actors in the region, announce government’s commitment to the National Maritime University, Okerenkoko and the appointment of a savvy Special Adviser (Niger Delta Affairs) to the President among other things.

“If Buhari follows Yar’ Adua’s lead, there will be sustainable cessation of hostilities in the Niger Delta, and the nation will not be subjected to further losses in National Revenues or the crippling power shortfalls due to unavailability of crude and gas” the group said.

Politics › Militancy In Niger Delta Affects Other Countries – US Warns by Chibuzoc(op): 5:08pm On Jun 28, 2016
The outgoing Deputy Consul-General of the United States, U.S, in Lagos, Ms Dehab Ghebreab, has advised Niger-Delta youths to desist from every form of militancy, noting that the violence perpetrated by militants affects not only Nigerians but people of other countries.

Ghebreab, who spoke while addressing journalists in Lagos, harped on the need for the militants to channel their grievances to the government, rather than engaging in the destruction of facilities.

According to her, “Youths in the Niger-Delta should not resort to violence because violence is really destructive.

“They need to know that violence or militancy does not only affect people living in their region, but may also affect other countries.

“They should know that foreign companies are also doing businesses in Nigeria and that some may just want to come to Nigeria, but would only be ready to invest in places where their businesses would be safe,’’ she said.

Ghebreab, who acknowledged ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to ensure peace in the region, enjoined the government to redouble its efforts at making the planned dialogue with the militants a reality.

The U.S. official pointed out that the Nigerian government would through dialogue come to terms with the militants’ grievances, and see to the possibility of addressing their needs and aspirations.

“We strongly believe that it is important that Niger-Delta youths engage in meaningful dialogue with the government, for government to know their grievances. “During this dialogue, it would become easier for the government to know what the issues really are and be able to solve them,’’ she said.

The deputy consul-general further harped on the need for the various levels of governance in the Niger-Delta to be proactive in the management of the militants’ grievances.

Ghebreab reiterated Washington’s commitment to supporting Nigeria in coming up with programmes that would constructively engage Nigerian youths, adding that her government had been supporting the Federal, State and Local Governments in the empowerment of the Niger-Delta youths.

President Muhammadu Buhari has taken strong exception to the comments credited to embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki, that a cabal has seized executive powers in the presidency for a selfish and punitive agenda.
Saraki is standing trial for alleged false declaration of assets at the Code of Conduct Tribunal and another alleged forgery of parliamentary document at a high court in Abuja.
Saraki had insinuated these to be the handiwork of persons close to the presidency, with a claim that there is “now a government within the government of President Buhari”. However, Buhari in a swift reaction yesterday through his spokesman, Femi Adesina, said he was nobody’s puppet and Saraki’s allegation is not only false and ridiculous, but worthless.
A statement issued by Adesina clarified that the Attorney-General of the Federation, who authorized Saraki’s prosecution, is the Chief Law Officer of the state and it is within his constitutional powers to determine who has infringed upon the law, and who has not.
The president, who is publicly baring his mind on Saraki’s travails so far, asked the Senate President to stop carrying an imaginary cross and go clear himself before the court.
The statement reads: “President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, claims there is “now a government within the government of President Buhari”, which has allegedly seized the apparatus of Executive powers to pursue a nefarious agenda.
“This claim by Senator Saraki would have been more worth the while, if it had been backed with more information.
“If he had proceeded to identify those who constitute the “government within the government,” it would have taken the issue beyond the realm of fiction and mere conjecture.
“But as it stands, the allegation is not even worth the paper on which it was written, as anybody can wake from a troubled sleep, and say anything.
“The Attorney-General of the Federation is the Chief Law Officer of the state. It is within his constitutional powers to determine who has infringed upon the law, and who has not.
“Pretending to carry an imaginary cross is mere obfuscation, if, indeed, a criminal act has been committed. But we leave the courts to judge’’. It said.

Family › 10 Things Dads Should Teach Their Sons About Women by Chibuzoc(op): 7:08am On Jun 28, 2016
If you are a man and you somehow put someone’s daughter in the family way, and a wailing, pooping, peeing baby boy pops out, then the following are 10 practical things you must teach that little fellow about women.
1. Let pigs win the ‘Smell Shield’
This doesn’t mean perfuming yourself like a Congolese gigolo. But that armpit, those teeth... scrub them, boy! If they stink, they keep away girls and interfere with career growth much more than if your head comes packed with a cockroach’s brain.
2. Women will check a man’s shoes...
Sorry, son, but that was high fashion in the old days. Invest in decent boxers. You can have the coolest belt, watch and shoes, but if you strip to torn, orange-coloured boxers, her great grandchildren will hear about it.
Plus, there is nothing as bad as being caught in a traffic accident with dodgy underwear. And oh...Never, ever sleep in your birthday suit. You are not in Canada, my friend. Here, anything can happen at night - bomb blast, fire, etc... you don’t want to be the guy dangling it down a well-lit street at full throttle on a rain-drenched night.
3. She might cheat with you
Oh yeah. Women don’t love you because you are the most handsome, virile and endowed thing on two legs since King Solomon. There will always be bigger, better-looking and smarter men than you. But you know, women are sweet. They will pick the most useless scumbag that ever lived and shower him with unending love. That could be you. That could be the guy they cheat on you with, son.
4. Never fiddle in her handbag
Don’t scroll through her phone. Don’t rummage through her emails. Don’t stalk her. Don’t call to ask, You are a man for Christ’s sake. Act like one.
5. Don’t ever call Radio FM
Don’t be caught dead chatting with a relationship counsellor. Most times, the people whose advice you seek are in worse trouble than you are.
If you have been dumped, cheated on, slapped, bewitched or whatever, Chin up, fix it or take a walk. And never call Radio to complain about women!

Politics › Kano Beheading: Okorocha Says Incident Is A Sacrifice For Nigeria’s Unity by Chibuzoc(op): 8:19am On Jun 27, 2016
Do we need killings for unity?

Pastor Mike Agbahiwe, an indigene of Orodo in Mbaitoli Local Government of Imo State whose wife was reportedly beheaded in Kano by Muslim fanatics, finally returned to his home state at the weekend and met with Governor Rochas Okorocha at Government House, Owerri.

Agbahiwe, who was accompanied by relatives, explained that contrary to the widely-read report that his wife Bridget was beheaded, she was murdered and not beheaded.

Shedding light on the tragic matter, he said Bridget was heartlessly and gruesomely murdered in his presence and that he barely survived the attack by Muslim fanatics, whose aim was to kill both of them.

His said: “One Muslim man called Dauda came to my wife’s shop and was washing his leg in front of the shop. My wife told the man to move up a little so that she could arrange her goods, but the man refused. Instead, the man started to molest her, and gripped her neck. In trying to free herself from the grip, Dauda started shouting Allah Akbar, and an angry mob quickly gathered

“When we saw that danger was about to occur, we ran and took refuge in the house of a prominent Alhaji, who is a leader in the area. The Alhaji did all he could to calm the mob down but they refused and called him an infidel. They broke into his house and killed my wife in front of me. And if not the quick intervention of the police who immediately used teargas to disperse them, they would have also killed me. But they destroyed everything I had, including the shop and car.

“My wife was never beheaded. But they hit her on the head with hard objects. The body of my wife is in the mortuary with the head. She was not beheaded as it was widely reported.”

In his response to the pathetic story, Governor Okorocha described the late Mrs. Agbahiwe as a heroine because it took over 100 men and women to put her down, describing the gruesome murder of the woman as highly provocative, barbaric and the highest wickedness of mankind. He however consoled the husband of the deceased that the entire people and government of Imo “will be sharing with him and the family in this moment of grief.”

Okorocha said: “The problem is not the death of Mrs. Agbahiwe but the manner by which she was killed. In this country, we must learn to live peacefully. No religion supports killing. Anyone who kills in the name of religion is an evil worshipper and should never mention the name of God. The coldblooded murder of Mrs. Agbahiwe should be seen as a sacrifice for the unity of the country. “She died as a martyr. Imo State Government will be (sharing) with the family in this period of grief, and we shall set up a committee to assist in making sure that she is given a befitting burial.”

According to the governor, “The chairman of the traditional rulers’ council in the state would lead a delegation to the Emir of Kano to make sure that such ugly incident never reoccurs anywhere in the country.”

Okorocha urged Agbahiwe not to question God over the killing of his wife, but to bear the whole incident with fortitude.
