raumdeuter: How I go drive Toba for this thread or for nairaland entirely. He got tired and left. Maybe after most of his predictions for 2014 world cup failed. Mertersacker was benched, Germany won the world cup Boateng was one of the heroes of the German team and David Luiz disgraced himself and Brazil Hahaha why does Boateng get so much hate? Eventhough I still stand by my statement "Terry is a better defender than Boateng", you can deny the dude's talent. Currently one of the top 3 central defenders in the world. Why anyone would rate the wasteman Per ahead of Him is baffling. |

pkasso: Bros, you dey mind Ramuzaki. The geezer went digging up an ancient post on a match thread I don't even remember posting on. Just because I was rooting for Milan against Inter does not make a Milan fan. Ever heard of bad belle? You are a Rossoneri yourself, have we ever crossed paths before? Tell the agbaya to drop any of my posts on the Milan thread. That was how he and his boy-boy claimed I used to be a Gunner.
The Barca bit is clear. I was once a Cule and I have never denied it. I stopped supporting Barca, the best team in the world for reasons best known to me. Bayern weren't even this dominant, at least in Europe when I became a fan. Show me another fan who would swap the best team in the world for a sleeping giant.
Dayo is a hypocrite. The same man said he used to support Ajax and Juventus in the 90's. Obviously, you outsiders don't know much about what goes on here. History plenty. Most people here don't know me and A40 used to be cool back in the day. Raumdeuter makes enemies with those who have opinions contrary to his. Toba is a classic example. They both were the only Bayern fans on the forum when I joined. The details are a bit fuzzy now but I think it was after that painful Cl final loss to Chelsea. They had different opinions. Things changed between them.Raumdeuter antagonized the guy right until he deactivated. Toba and I had arguments. Things got heated sometimes but we found a way to settle it. I've got some respect for DK but it's diminishing by the second. Merry Christmas, bro. Merry Christmas to you too Bro. Ahhh that clears things up. You used to support Barca before you switched allegiance. Fair enough. Nothing wrong with that. Yh I know Dayo's other/second team is Juve. He followed Serie A quite religiously back in the 90s I think. Dayo nah you drive Toba comot for this thread? |

I'm sure He has his reason for switching between 3 clubs in 5 years. raumdeuter: Pkasso as an adult supports Barca wen its comfortable, switched to Milan after Mila begin Bleep up he fled again now claiming Bayern, Yet the only thing he does on Bayern thread is to collude with Bayern haters like apoche cra cra and Bobrisky
When did he start supporting Barca and when did he stop, Same with Milan same with Bayern Loooool .. To be fair to Pkasso though, His hate is directed towards Boateng more than Bayern per say. |

A40: Lol that's a barely a decade for starters. Pls scratch that 03/04 from your list quick quick. Are you talking of a year Deco was the best thang smoking? In 2007 it was Kaka. In 2010 it was Sneijder, 12-14 the likes of Özil, Kroos, ADM e.t.c. That is even at club level we have not yet gotten to country O3/04- 13/14 is pretty much a decade. You are nitpicking. One year here one year there. Still If we were to look at those years, you'll find lampard to be amongst the top 3-5 AM in the world. Let's not kid ourselves, no attacking midfielder matched Lampard's productivity over that decade. |

A40: Yes we can all see the toughness. You have to be a special kind of tough to get knocked out by a country like Iceland with the population of Mile 12 market on a busy day Still doesn't take away from the fact that the Premier League is the toughest and possibly most competitive in world footy. |

A40: What does Ibime mean by 'over a decade' what timeframe are we talking about? You have to show me how he was dominant for club and country over that 10+ year timeframe. Not throwing vague and ambiguous words From the 03/04 season to the 13/14 season. I am trying to think of a more consistent/better Attacking Midfielder over that period of time. |

A40: Again there is a marked difference between a player's lack of ability and the demands of the league.
If Bolasie plays even 10 games a season will he match Robben? Abeg let's leave story for Puff daddy I never said the league would enhance your technical ability. It will toughen you up both physically and mentally. |

raumdeuter: Real Madrid this season if they make the CL semi will play over 50 games. None of Chelsea Liverpool or City will make that number
In the last 3 seasons the top La Liga teams have played more games than their EPL counterparts, They play Super cup, they travel far away in the middle of the season for CWC, they go deeper in Europe while the English ones are home, Copa del rey is 2 legged.
But dont let facts stand in the way of myths Dayo there is a world of difference between the top 5 or 6 teams playing more games in a less tasking league and the full 20 teams playing in a more demanding league. |

raumdeuter: You must be having a laugh when evidence shows us that an EPL dominated team will always fail at major tournaments. With other teams running them around smartly
In the last 2 tournaments England was sent home by Iceland and Costa Rica
The most sensible players in the EPL are those that grew up in other football cultures. Like Ozil, Silva, Mata, KdBruyne, Fabregas, Eriksen. Who are the footballers who grew up English cultures that have a football brain? Compare those above to Barkley, Wilshere, Walcott, Oxlade, Sterling, Alli who are English This lends credence to the superior physicality of the league. The players are completely shattered come the summer when these tournament roll around. Winter breaks can do wonders to one's fitness level. Lampard,Carrick,Scholes,Ferdinand,Terry. Where they also trained abroad? |

raumdeuter: You mean that those top 4 scorers currently in the EPL were not great in the non rigorous La Liga but were suddenly great in the rigorous EPL?
What does this have to do with anything? when at the end of the season Sevilla, Atletico, Madrid Barca still play more games than EPl sides
Madrid will travel to Japan to play CWC and not complain of rigours but its the team that travel 3 bus stops aways from West London to North London that will be complaining Costa was great in La Liga. There is a reason He was the top scorer for a Title winning team. Aguero was also easily one of the best players in the league during his time there. Shame Atletico were not that good. Sanchez was also decent. He was outstanding in his last season. He was 4th top scorer in the league playing in a team that had Messi. On average Teams in the Premier league play more games than their La Liga counterparts. Carling Cup,League,FA Cup and Uefa competitions. Add to the fact they get no winter break whatsoever. No be beans abeg. The likes of City and Arsenal would happily bite your hands if you offered them Real's schedule. |

And the other is from the French league after flopping miserably in La Liga Great Players playing for Great teams compared to the rest of the league. raumdeuter: Brawns is no substitute for brains
Lol Like Michael Owen coped, or Tomas Gravesen or Jonathan Woodgate. Looking at the EPL top scorers table, 3 of the top 4 are from this non rigorous La liga. And the other is from the French league after flopping miserably in La Liga Yh but the Premier league is not just brawn alone. It's a mix of both. It toughens you up the way other leagues don't. Michael Owen's goal to game ratio wasn't shabby when He started games. Newcastle took Real to the cleaners with regards to Woodgate. They've never been a more injury prone player in my lifetime. Dude was made of glass. Had He been able to stay fit, He would have been the perfect fit for La Liga. Lastly with regards to Gravesen, Real were going through one of their worst periods that time so you can't pin it all on Him. However what He lacked in talent,He made up for it with his Hardwork and work rate. |

Nihilist: In terms of intensity, England is the most physically demanding country to play in. 100%. Not seen a Serie A or a Bundesliga game live so I can say for certain regarding those leagues however as someone who has watched games at both the Bernabeu and the Nou Camp, I totally agree with this statement. The pace of the game in spain is sedate. It's more of a thinking man's game in that part of the world. |

Danielnino00: I will add Kaka.
Even though he reached the height many people expected of him at Ac Milan, winning UCL,SerieA balon d or,etc. i still feel his move to real Madrid killed his career. if he had stayed at AC Milan he might have achieved more. Kaka's failures at madrid can be attributed to injuries. It robbed him of his pace and athleticism. Had He stayed at Milan would He have achieved more? I highly doubt it. Our squad in the last few years has been nothing short of shocking. |
