Thomby2k12:Most likely. Please check asap. No delays. |
Graviton2:The two programs are very much related. I have a Bsc in Politics and International Relations though from a Nigerian uni and I am currently in the Masters of Peace and Conflict Studies program in University of Waterloo. Peace and Conflict is more or less a specialized area of international relations. @ adaforeal1 why not go for another masters? Or a PHD as Graviton2 suggested? Though i remember sometime ago i read here that someone with a degree from UK was able to come into Canada to study at the PGD level. That might work |
obtwice:This is the first time i will hear or read about someone applying without checking the fees. You should visit the dept or faculty website. The fees should be displayed somewhere there. Admission into Uni of Manitoba is quite competitive, so it is good to apply to one or two more schools. |
Caleycash:Depends on the university and not all require ielts from Nigerians. |
DMX0606:the same place you submitted. |
JannieO:No cause for alarm. I had the same condition because I had no idea then that Canada doesnt issue visas beyond the passport validity. She will have to renew her passport in Canada and then apply for study permit extension at least 30 days before the expiry. I would advice she applies like two months before her permit expires because it currently takes an average of 70 days to get a response from CIC for applications made within Canada. If she renews her passport in Canada, she will not have any problem. I renewed my passport in Nigeria in April and I was still able to come into Canada. So she is covered. However, she should apply for a study permit as soon as she gets a new passport so she can get a reply from CIC in time. Unfortunately, I have no idea how much it is to renew passports in Canada |
yemite295:It does not matter. It was after I arrived Canada that I started looking for accommodation and no one at the airport asked me any question regarding it. However, you can book a room at a bed and breakfast for a few days if that will keep you at ease. Or do you have a place to stay before you can move into the hostel? |
yemite295:I'm sorry I don't understand. Could you explain what you mean by residency in school |
@akosh005 hi, been a while. |
I like your confusion. many people will like to be in your shoes. You can go a week or two before resumption. So you can settle down and get over jet lag. yemite295: |
Go to British Council in Maitama. better still, check their website for details https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/nigeria Caleycash: |
Thank you very much demoah: |
Hello everyone, please i have a quick question for those in Canada. If i renew my passport, can i still make use of the trv and study permit on the old passport? Or will it be voided/invalid too? Thanks. |
Hello Drpak I would like to send you an email concerning passport renewal and study permit extension. Please let me know if that's okay with you. Thanks. |

kunlesaint: Hello Good people,didn't know people go to court for denial of Canadian visa. I've only heard of people reapplying. Hard to say. Wish you the best. |
Uchlight: Hi peeps. I need peoples opinion on this. Does someone has to pay his tuition fees before he could be granted a canadian Visa. Is paying tuition fees a necessary condition before one could be granted VISAit isn't. unless the school asks you to pay or the visa officer sends a mail requesting you to pay your fees. |
Omonjoe: I want to make an online payment for my online master's application but stuck on which platform to use as i ve no credit card. PleaseI need help on the atm card in Nigeria that can do the payment. Are there specific bank's card that work best? Is there specific account ie savings or current card required? pls i need urgent response. thanksI used firstbank's debit MasterCard. |

I've obviously missed a lot here. The orientation here (uWaterloo) is like a course on its own. We even took attendance during one session and it will reflect on our transcript. Oyibo no dey play with book oh Welcome to those just coming in. May God give us the strength to carry on successfully. God bless us. |
