Well what I was told at vfs is that you'll write a letter of authority giving the person permission to collect your package for you. You'd also give the person that slip and photocopy of your bio data page of your passport. He/she will also have to go with an identity card.

uhm sorry,I actually want to write that the landed properties and houses don't have to be yours. I'm so sorry about your mom. I think you will be requested to also attach her death certificate to your app. Ehen the house is good. Then you can also talk more about home ties in your SOP but your dad's house and the study leave letter should cover it. I wish you the very best.

My questions are, if am sponsoring myself, what are the documents i have to provide as a self sponsor?
How much do i need to have in my account to be able to convince the officer that i can take care of myself in canada?
If i do not have any landed property or business to show as home ties, what do i need instead of landed properties or any property as such?
I have been working for over 2years and i intend getting a study leave without PAY from my employer, though am gonna stay back in canada to be living and working there.

Let me answer to the extent of my knowledge on this matter.
As a self sponsor I THINK you need to provide your employment letter and maybe promotion letter (not compulsory), payslips, the letter from your employer acknowledging you work there and you will be granted leave,
Then as for how much you need in your account, that depends on your fees. The usual thing is to add up your fees for at least a year + living expenses which is I think $12000 for quebec and $10000 for other provinces and then + some little extra for flight and stuff.
If your parents have landed properties use it for home ties. It must be yours. I think what they consider is since it belongs to your parents, you will inherit it or something
Maybe share certicates if available.
Other nairalanders will contribute.

Yesso print all. You dont have to wait for the hardcopy as long as all the info needed has been provided on the lettter you have. Print it coloured and clear and youre good to go. Goodluck

kingsolve: No problem dear, yea not all phones here work there. I use two phones presently. I asked a friend there about it and he sent me links from networks there to test compatibility with my phone by putting my IMEI number on their website. The first network, none of my phones were compatible. The next one, one of my phone was. So I guess I'll use dat network when I get there. I'll just drop d other phone here so someone can use it and it won't lie waste der.

Your 2nd question, I think that depends on the airline you follow. Different airlines with different baggage allowances. Check the website of whichever you're using.

mahn unless you'll go to a notary public gan gan and they are maaaad expensive. My mom did one with a notary public about 4 years ago,it was 5k for just one document.

Does anybody know if a lazy eye (similar to but not as bad as Forest Whitaker's eye tho) can affect/hinder someone's chances of getting TRV?

I was asked to go for a further (eye) test yesterday, which I did. The result shows my right eye has a stronger power than the left. Tho they confirmed it's healthy and can read n see but not like the right. I was given newspaper and some journals to read, which I did. I've never used glasses before 'cuz my vision is clear and I've never seen the need.

The doc compiled the results shaa and scored the eye 6/10 (without glasses) and 8/10 (with glasses) compared to the right's 10/10 with and without glasses..

Can this affect affect my TRV?
