emperoracro: Mr Cronsberg, pls wat ar u driving at?

Having gone tru dis thread extensively, dia ar so many pple who followed dat checklist generated on cic website n were denied visa, till dey came here n were told to include SOP n dey later got dia visa, abi SOP dey ur on own checklist?
That's what people don't get. The cic website alone isn't enough. Nairaland is useful because one can get an extensive list of docs to submit. At least I found it very helpful when I applied.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by chichi89(f): 10:25pm On Aug 22, 2014
miketayo: yeah, could be true, but can also take 3 months. BTW not less than 30 days
ok.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by chichi89(f): 10:24pm On Aug 22, 2014
cronsberg: Yes. It depends on the visa category you are applying for though. Check the visa wait time at the lagos VAC under cic website
Now I get. You should have included that (visa category) in your epistle too.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by chichi89(f): 10:13pm On Aug 22, 2014
cronsberg: Nigerians like making things difficult for themselves i swear. I just marvel at the comments of people in here. Everyone keeps asking what to do, how to do it, which documents to present, how to apply e.t.c e.t.c . The whole thing is very easy people. Just go to CIC website, take an eligibility test, a result will be displayed showing which documents to submit, how to submit it. Then you just gather those documents and proceed to the application proper. THATS ALL.
Forget what people tell you on NL, they make it seem like hell, they make you waste time looking for documents that the embassy didn't ask you to come with, they make you feel afraid of the whole process as if you're applying to enter heaven or something, whereas applying for a visa should be a fun and easy thing. To tell you how must people on NL don't even know the real visa application process themselves, a commenter was advising a naive individual that the visa waiting time is 2 months, when infact the wait times indicated on the CIC website(the authority involved) is max 34 days(mind you, you could even be given visa within a week or two), but people here make you so unnecessarily worried and afraid.

You want real visa application procedures and which documents to present? go to CIC.
34 days in Nigeria? A week or two? For those that applied in Nigeria? *smh*

Next time, you don't mess with an intellectual..

vinnygod: Hey everyone just boarded yesterday n finally arrived canada today. My journey was full of fun, excitement,n inspirational. Ethiopia airline treated me like a king, all kinds of meals, drinks, fruits were served not even once or thrice. Infact mai experience with'em was awesome. I was opportune to sit with one of d nigerian-canadian lecturer @ seneca college toronto it was really educative n informative having him as my sit partner.

@toronto airport..its cozy n neat with many a kitted uniform men. It was fabulous meeting a canadian border service agent. She was really cool, amiable with her friendly looking disposition. Am loving dis people. They're all willing to help infact there was this particular uniform lady the way she responded to mai question and even took me to where I was looking4 was superb. Canadians are super friendly.....I actually asked one for a direction could you believe that he almost took me to d venue while I asked d other @d airport where I would ease myself infact he didn't only gv me direction he took me to d lavatory..... I can say that they do more of solving ones problem than profounding a solution to ya pros

It was only in nigeria that d officers demanded tip from me which I stubbornly refused to succumb aside there the journey was excellent
Interesting grin thank God for safe trip
